Welcome to Upper Room Flat - 23 Boulevard

Second story cottage with queen-sized bedroom and upstairs sleeping loft. Comfortable and cozy! Newly Remodeled.

The stylish one-bedroom carriage house offers 700 sq. ft. of quintessential comfort and coziness. It comprises a master bedroom with a queen bed, loft accessed up a climbing ladder with two twin beds, efficiency kitchen with hot plates and convection microwave.

There is a screened in balcony with oversized deck. Outdoor dining table for 6 and outdoor lounge area to seat 8. The Upper Room has a grill under carport for guest use. Inside dining table seats 4 and couch and 2 chairs is enough for 6 people to sit comfortably. The screened in porch allows the french doors to be open for a nice breeze- enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine in this great space!

NOTE- Upper Room is a Garage Apartment located on 23 Boulevard. The home on the property is a seperate Vacation Home. Upper Room has one designated parking- parallel park by the garage door. All additional vehicles can be parked in the public parking lot behind The Meeting House, located on Boulevard.

Great Weekend getaway

Perfect for my husband & I for a quick weekend getaway! Ideal amount of space for a couple and within easy walking distance to food & activities. The stairs are somewhat steep (just a heads up) but did not bother us! In-unit laundry was very convenient. Would stay again!

Great Weekend Getaway

Good spot for small family

We wanted to enjoy a weekend in Carlton Landing and all it has to offer without overspending for a two-night lake getaway. This guest house was small, but just right for what we needed. There’s no oven/stove unit but they have an electric stove top appliance that allowed us to cook breakfast on. Short walk to the pool, food trucks, beach and other spots. The ladder was steep (as expected), but our 4 and 8 year old boys did okay with it.

The BBQ Grill was out of propane, I called the number they gave me and they came within 15 minutes with a new tank. The bed is indeed a little stiff but we managed OK. There were issues with the sink in the bathroom and the door handle there too. The tub drains very slow. I also would like to have more than one bathroom hand towel for a 4 night stay. Overall, this is a great place in a great community.

Great weekend place.

Very small but great place. Would have been nice to have sat outside but the patio and yard were unsuitable. Wasn’t really sure where to park and just crossed our fingers as to where since there wasn’t access to the garage area.

Cute but dirty

Property was perfect for a couple, but we had four people and the ladder to the loft is scary! We found the property to be dirty and in need of maintenance. Community is neat, but we expected more out of the rental for over 300$ a night!

Great location, quiet, very clean, and the condo had everything that we needed. All amenities on the property are close by. Carlton Landing is a first-class community, and we look forward to watching it grow. The only suggestion would be to expand the marina to add boat rentals and more slips since the lake is the main attraction.

Perfectly cozy

Weekend getaway with my wife was great in this cozy loft. Got a little confused though when we didn’t see an oven or stovetop. But a little bit of investigation solved the problem! 😉 We will be back.

The biggest downfall was that our balcony floor was pretty rotten in a few places, plus the cushions could have used a little attention prior to our visit...same for the outside fire pit/table area. Another set of towels and rags would have been appreciated for our three night stay too. We loved driving around this adorable town on our rented golf cart. Would have loved to buy a souvenir but the Meeting House wasn’t open the days we were there. The app could use a little revamping as some things were up to date. Overall, we enjoyed our trip.

Our rental was cute but could use some TLC. Wasp nests and ants out on the porch and when we opened the blinds lots of small dead bugs fell out. Also a dead cockroach in the bedroom and a pile of raisins under the nightstand in the loft. These things didn’t ruin our trip but during a pandemic I was hoping for an extremely clean stay. We will 100% go back to Carlton Landings but we will be looming for a different place to stay.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I were looking forward to our anniversary getaway at Carlton Landing. When we arrived, the community of houses was really cute and our rental was nice and very clean. We climbed up the steep ladder to the loft just to see it. While cozy, I would have to warn anyone with children that it could present a danger to kids who sleepwalk or get up in the night forgetting where they are as it is about 12 feet off the main floor. The bed in the master is very firm and squeaks with the slightest movement. We didn't sleep well at all. We were told by property management to download a hospitality app so we could check out all the amenities available. Perhaps this should have been a foreshadowing of what the "resort" had to offer; none of the links would ever load. We are active people and love to have things to do. We walked to the beach area which was not much - a small stretch of barely any sand and the water wasn't inviting to wade into, very uncomfortable for the feet. The lake view is only of a small cove, not really the lake. We were excited about kayaking but found out they only opened up for rental on the weekends (at a min of $30). There is not a general store on the property and all of the restaurants and food trucks were closed as they, also, only open on the weekends. The nature trails were a very short jaunt and we were disappointed that they didn't lead us near the lake. We did not have a code to get into the fitness center. We had to call to get the codes for the pools. I feel this information should be left for guests in the rental and not left up to the guests to figure out. Also, there are no beach towels in the rental and none in the pool area. We had to use our bath towels. We made the 20 minute trek to the town of Eufala several times for food. Eufala is very small and limited on choices. Many of the restaurants only open on the weekends or have limited hours of operation. To sum it all up, we lef
