About this property

★ Baan Yai Family Villa, five bedrooms and Celebration/Yoga space ★

Baan Yai from "Baan Thamarchat villas" is a unique design and huge tropical villa, reminding the well-known Thai "Sala". A fresh Cedar wooden roof 'open' lodge with swimming pool set in a lush coconut grove, it is the perfect place to relax or have fun.

We offer our guests a hotel service with daily cleaning and full maintenance. Tea, coffee, and drinking water are kindly offered to our guests. Water and electricity are also included.

Baan Yai is 320 sqm of living space on one thousand sqm land. There are five bedrooms, all with air conditioning and four bathrooms.

The villa also owns a one hundred sqm event room, ideal for celebrations such as mariages or birthdays or Yoga retreats, workshops, or co-working. (The Shala is potentially shared with our others Villas's guests)

The open plan living area overlooks the swimming pool and has a large sofa area, dining area for up to 12-14 people, a fully furnished western-style kitchen and ceiling fans.

The slightly raised first floor (ground floor) has two Master bedrooms, both with King size beds, air conditioning, TVs (Netflix), private bathroom, private toilet, and safe boxes.
One other bedroom with AC, TV and two single beds, connected with master bedroom, ideal for parents and kids, with AC, fans, TV (Netflix)
Upstairs you will find another two spacious bedrooms, both with King size beds, sofa, 1 Single bed, Smart TVs (Netflix), air conditioning and fans. Please be aware the bathroom for the first-floor bedrooms is on the ground floor.
There is a fourth open air hot shower bathroom in the garden to give a truly tropical, natural feel.

The Swimming pool (Salt System) is 11 x 5 meters in size, and a maximum depth of 145 centimeters with a large child space.
There are built-in benches inside the pool, and outside the pool there are sunbathing lounge chairs and an umbrella. Ramp access is available to the first (ground) floor.

We have recently built a 100SQM/1000SQFT space devoted to celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, and retreats such as Yoga or Co-working. Please have a look at our pictures!

Please be aware Baan Yai and Baan Ya Kha can be rented together for larger group of 20 people max when both villas are available.
Or, with our lately third villa, Baan Taolili for up to 26 guests, 13 bedrooms when our three villas (full domain) are available.

The villa is fabulous, open directly to the swimming pool, even if it rain a lot you can stay outside. Mica is a really nice guy he will tell all you have to know about the island. The villa is perfect for family or group of friends. You can have lot of fun there.

Amazing villa with mesmerizing swimming pool

I have stayed in quite a few beautiful place on Koh Phangan, but Mica's villa really is a separate category when it comes to beauty, location, eye for details (both inside and outside), and ahh the pool! I really fell in love with this amazing pool. It blends in so beautifully with the garden, the color of its tiles, and the lighting at night make it look as if you are living in a fairy tale. When I had to do some work in the morning, I really couldn't wish for myself a better place than sitting at the big table in the open living room, overlooking the garden. Mica's eye for detail and his taste are world class, and not only that - he is also one of the best hosts I have ever had the privilege to meet. Every time I had a request about anything, I could contact Mica and he would help me as quickly as he could, or send someone over. The outside shower is a treat to use, the bedrooms are very nice, and also the location of the villa in the Sri Thanu area - which in my opinion is really the nicest area of the whole island - is perfect. Una villa de lujo en el corazón de Koh Phangan

Después de viajar por Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, etc... llegamos por fin a la isla de Koh Phangan para descansar unos días. Por supuesto habíamos visto fotos de las villas, pero no nos esperábamos ni el excelente trato, ni la ubicación, ni la comodidad y lujo que nos presentó Mica, su dueño y perfecto anfitrión. La casa está muy bien equipada, las habitaciones son de en sueño, el jardín está cuidado y su piscina es deliciosa. Es una casa decorada de forma sencilla y súper acogedora. Baños bien equipados, camas enormes y muy cómodas, aire acondicionado y un wifi que funciona estupendo (todo sea dicho). Mica, nos ayudó en todo, alquiler de motos, compra y fue súper amable con nosotros, desde el día que llegamos, que nos vino a recoger, hasta el día que nos fuimos. Muy TOP! Desde luego todos nos llevamos una impresión estupenda y acordamos de repetir la experiencia en estas villas en cuanto podamos.

Truly fabulous!

Absolute perfection in every way. Beautiful accommodation for everyone (there were ten of us), unobtrusive maid service, an infinitely accommodating owner oozing Gallic charm, and peace, perfect peace. The pool's unusual design was perfect for the children too, in that it included shallow areas around the edges which were perfect for our toddler. I can't think of anything which needed improvement, and seriously regretted having to leave. Luckily we were the first ones to experience new bedrooms and bathrooms upstair. Such a bliss! Huge bedrooms and beds, smart TVs, sofa and working space. I'd like to add Mica's 2 villas can be connected with privacy for groups up to 20 i guess... I cannot recommend the property highly enough.

Most beautiful house ever

We spent 2 weeks in this outstanding villa with 9 people. The whole place has its own flair and character, it is one of most amazing villa I ever stayed. The open kitchen and living area fit perfectly into the beautiful nature around with its great pool. Even Mica the host has 2 villas next to each other, Baan Thamarchat and Baan Ya Kha,100 % privacy is guarantee! The location could not be better, a lot of individual restaurants and the beach are just few steps away and an excellent point to explore the island. Mica and his staff take care of just everything you desire for a perfect stay, you don't feel like a standard guest or tourist, but rather like a family member!!! Don't miss it guys, you'll not regret it!! Thank you

The ease of construction made me design, build and realize Baan Thamarchat villas, a safe concept in harmony with tropical weather on the magical island Koh Phangan.
It everyday gives me chance to meet people from all over the world and it is with my family, best gift life could offers me.

Why they chose this property

Baan Thamarchat บ้านธรรมชาติ (Natural House in Thai speaking) was an idea born to adapt living to a Tropical climate. I quick realized the lovely Thai people were spending several hours outside, under what they call a "Sala", a basic building with natural Cedar wooden roof, this offers protection them from hot sun and strong rain showers. Here was the idea... I thought I will build house as a huge "Sala". I drew, designed and built Baan Thamarchat following this idea, which today is brought to our guests to emphasize the tropical feeling with modernity in and security in mind.
