Magnificent ocean view apartment with huge private patio

Breezy, safe, residential neighborhood. NO NIGHTLIFE in walking distance! Suitable for travelers seeking peace and nature. Car is not necessary but it certainly is a big plus!

Forget the South or West coast! Too crowded, noisy at night, too hot, eroding beaches and way too expensive tourist trap. This spacious house is located on the south-east part of the island known for its cooling, Atlantic breeze. It's walking distance to 6 most beautiful, uncrowded beaches. With its rugged, beautiful scenery the quiet and friendly Belair neighborhood is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the south and west coasts.

The top floor apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower and an open kitchen. It is furnished with an Indonesian style furniture, has an exposed beam high ceilings and an amazing ocean view. There is a huge partially covered patio equipped with an outdoor sofas, two dining room tables as well as lounge chairs.

There is an option to use an extra bedroom on the bottom floor that is connected to this part of the house for an extra charge.

LOCATION: The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach and a natural pool: Shark Hole (no sharks there, no worries)

However the best beaches are 15-20 minutes away (on foot) or 5-10 minutes by car. They include:
- Bottom Bay Beach (our favorite!)
- Crane Beach (with a life guard)
- Ginger Bay Beach
- Sam Lords Castle Beach
- Harrismith Beach
Plus a few more secret beaches, which we are happy to share with you!

Crane Resort is 20 min walk, 10 min on bike or 5 min drive. There are restaurants as well as bars. Airport is 15 minute drive, Oistins Fish Market is 20 minutes.

ACT LIKE A LOCAL: We have been coming to Barbados for many years now and are familiar with the best beaches and sight seeing. We have a map upon request, which highlights the best places to see. There is very well equipped Emerald City Supermarket is at Six Roads, 10 min drive.

We had an amazing stay! It was an excellent location for a relaxing getaway. We could walk to shark hole and were only a couple minutes away from Bottom Bay which was beautiful! The view from their place is simply wonderful and the sunrises were stunning. The place is well stocked and a lot of good information was provided for us. It was a very memorable stay and would highly recommend!

Beautiful Teta House

Teta House was amazing and we will definitely stay here again if we are back in Barbados. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is breezy and cool. Having the pool was wonderful and the easy access to the Shark Hole was nice. We especially appreciated the quality of the Internet connection as we were able to use it to call the US frequently. Jana and Troy were great hosts; very communicative and helpful.

I was a fashion photographer in NYC. Now I am semi retired, enjoying this beautiful island during the winter months, spending summers in Prague. Love music, food and life.

Why they chose this property

My very first stay in Barbados in 1996 was the west coast. Of course, that is where all the tourists go. I liked it until I discovered this side of the island. You never get tired of watching the waves. The Atlantic breeze and the color of the ocean here has a magic that you will fall in love with. I have built this house from scratch and I did it with love.

What makes this property unique

You will never be too hot and hardly ever get mosquito bites. The area is quiet. All you will hear is the crashing of distant waves and of course the little frogs at night. No AC needed.
