About this property

This 2 bedroom bright little house is located across from the Summerside Boardwalk in the downtown area. Within walking distance to shopping, dining, casino and horse races. The home is tastefully furnished and contains a fully stocked kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms (one queen and one double). There is a 60" flat screen TV with a Fire Stick and Wifi. As well as, laundry and parking. Make this cozy home your base while on PEI!

Please note: the staircase going up to the bedrooms and bathroom is quite small and narrow, considering the year the house was built, this was a common feature. It may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Also, I want to add that because of the age of this sweet little house, it's not uncommon to find an even floor, or the odd crack in the plaster. Many of my guests have appreciated the old characteristic and charm this house provides - but best of all, is the location.

Also, since 2022 is our first year back since before the pandemic, this year we are beatifying the place with a new roof, windows, siding, and gutters. A whole new make-over on the outside. We don't know the dates yet that the contractor will be doing this, however, please note: if you are on your vacation when the contractor is working, I am willing to give you a 40% discount on your stay.

A home away from home by the water

The location of this property is just perfect for a summer vacation by the beach. It’s mid island location makes this spot great if you plan to tour the islands like we did. This warm beach inspired older home had so many extras for the comfort of your stay that were added.

Welcome to Simple Living on Second Street in Summerside, PEI. My name is LeeAnn and I am the owner of this cute little rental. I bought it back in 2011 and renovated the interior. I am a teacher at a local college here on PEI, with summers off so many moons ago, I decided to start renting vacation rentals on the island to keep my summers busy and fun! I have other rentals available in Charlottetown and Darnley.

Why they chose this property

Location and price. Simple Living is across from Summerside's beach and boardwalk and is located downtown within walking distance to restaurants and events. Also, having a full house and kitchen, you get a lot more space than if you were renting a hotel room at a better price.

What makes this property unique

The boardwalk is 8 km long and goes around Summerside Harbour. A great place to take a stroll in the evening or early morning. Also, not far from Samual's Coffee Shop or Sunny's Dairy Bar. I do allow small breeds of dogs and there is a fenced in back yard. Having a BBQ on the back deck is also a great way to spend the evening or you could walk over to the Credit Union Place and watch a horse race.
