Pet Friendly Oceanfront Home on a Very Private Beach - Sleeps 12+
About Daryl Singleton
I am the property manager, the owner is a wonderful person, I have the honor to be the manager. The home has been in the family from the beginning. As for me; I am a native of the Jacksonville Beaches / Ponte Vedra Beaches. Not just a native, but family going back to the 1600's in St. Augustine and Mayport FL In my teenage years I was a lifeguard and a member of the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corp, celebrating the 100th Anniversary in 2012. My parents owned a hotel in Jacksonville Beach also in my teen years. I LOVED the hotel business. After 18 years as an executive in the seafood business, I became a Realtor, owned and managed a RE/MAX Office, then an opportunity to get back to my first love, the hospitality business this time as a manager of vacation rental homes. It is so much more fun than the traditional real estate business.

Why Daryl Singleton chose South Ponte Vedra Beach
In my opinion, this home has the perfect name. For that matter, it is perfect in many ways. First is the perfect location; it is located on a 15 mile stretch of beach between Ponte Vedra (just south of Jacksonville Beach) and Vilano Beach (just east of St Augustine. There are some oceanfront homes on the east side of the road (A1A, made famous by Jimmy Buffett) the other side of A1A is a 74,000 acre nature preserve. There is no public parking for the beach in the area where the home is located. Why is that important? There are no private beaches in Florida, the beaches belong to the people of the State of Florida. BUT, you will see VERY few people on the beach. The only people that you see either live there or they are also renting a beach home. I was only one mile from there on the 4th of July and I only saw 5 other people! Second, is the home itself. Views and more views; most people, including me stay in beach homes to see and enjoy the beach. Another Day in Paradise has ceiling to floor windows in the living room and many more large windows in all other parts of the home. I could enjoy this views from the air conditioned comfort of the home. Third is that the home is in as near perfect condition as possible. Forth and final reason is that the home is simply first class and beautiful. Check out the photos and in person the home looks even better!
What makes this House unique
In a nutshell, it is a beautiful first class home on a beach that is basically private, yet it is only a 10 minute drive to 3 fantastic restaurants. It is also a quick drive to the upscale community of Ponte Vedra Beach and St Augustine. St Augustine is the OLDEST city in the USA. History? Northeast Florida is called, "The First Coast" for a reason.

We have a large family and needed the 5 bedrooms. We enjoyed the house, the location and the rental process could not have been easier! We definitely want to stay here again!!!

Beautiful views in a very private setting
You would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful, private setting on any Florida beach. The house was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The expansive views from the upper level and the large deck/patio make this property. We were concerned with the sand path leading to the beach versus a boardwalk. It wasn't an issue at all. The beach was a short 50 steps down the path that was fairly easy to manage. This location is very private with no public beach access and a vast park to the west of the main road and beach to the east. Even with the secluded location, restaurants and grocery stores are within a short 15 minute drive. There is a carry out for quick items within a 2 minute drive.
The home was comfortable for our party of 10. The dining table comfortably sat all 10 of us was a rare find in a vacation rental. The views from the dining table were fabulous. The two upper level bedrooms were comfortable and tasteful. One room was off the dining room through double doors. It was a bit of an odd layout but proved to be no issue. Opening the double doors to enjoy the views was a nice option. The three lower level rooms shared one bathroom and one of the rooms seem to be a converted porch. These rooms were not ideal, but were nicely decorated and served the purpose for the kids with little complaints. The converted porch room is less ideal and is a bit disconnected from the rest of the property. The house has a two car garage, large driveway, nice high end laundry equipment, and a quality outdoor grill. The WiFi worked well and was necessary. Given the remote location, cell and data service is light. TV's were A+.
We really enjoyed the beach and all of the available shelling. This is a shell beach but is very comfortable to walk and the sand is very nice. You may get comments regarding the shell sand, but it's really of no comfort concern and we found it entertaining. The beach is clean with plenty beach at high tide and it is expansive at low tide. Made for nice frisbee and football tossing.
The only areas that could be improved would be to have more comfortable bedding and improved seating in the main family room area. This wasn't a big issue, but could be improved.
The management company is very professional and communicated well. All the needed instructions were provided in a timely fashion and everything was taken care of as expected. They are very trusted with no issues or concerns at all.
"Another Day in Paradise" sits on the top of the dune, for the best views of all our oceanfront properties. The beach feels private, there is no public parking, so the only people on the beach either live in or are renting a beach home. It is perfectly located between upscale Ponte Vedra, TPC, Ruth's Chris Steak to the north AND to the south is historic oldest city in the USA, St. Augustine, FL lots of restaurants and bars, including the famous, Columbia with same owners and great Spanish food as the original in Tampa, FL. There are also 3 great restaurants BEFORE St Augustine, all less than a 10 minute drive.
