Lovely little cottage in great location with excellent restaurants close by. Had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was perfectly equipped and having the washer dryer was such a bonus. The communication with the landlord was very good. Would absolutely stay here again.

Thank you for this feedback. We always strive for a 5-star review, would have loved to best understand how we could have best served you. Thank you for the review.
The cottage was as advertised and served as a great home-base for a birthday weekend spent biking around greater Chicago with a friend in celebration of our birthdays. Great communication with the owner and the cottage had everything we needed.

So glad you loved your stay! Thank you for being a great guest and hope to have you back soon!
Great little place. I enjoyed being able to cook but you gotta bring your own spices and olive oil if you are a serious cook as only salt and pepper are available. Great privacy. The highway is quite noisy so hanging outside is not really pleasant

So glad you had a great time. I would love to always provide a 5-star stay. I would love to know how best to improve. But it sounds like you had a wonderful time, so grateful!
I could not have asked for an easier spot in order to get to downtown Oak Park (5 minute Uber), train access to downtown Chicago (1 minute walk) and breakfast right around the corner.
As high traffic as it might sound there was essentially no residual noise from any of it.
Quiet, clean and cozy. I highly recommend this cottage!

So glad you loved your stay! Thank you for the detailed review, it is so highly appreciated. Hope to have you back very soon!
Great safe neighborhood with good parking, fun shops, restaurants and wonderful bakery within a block. We felt very safe wandering the area. So convenient to catch the train into downtown Chicago. Loved the retro touches. Is it odd that I noticed the dish drainer tied in with the pattern on the kitchen backsplash? Info says the cottage sleeps up to 6, but I would limit to a couple with maybe one small child. One negative. . .the queen bed was comfortable for sleeping, but sits too low to the floor for older folks with bad knees.

Such a pleasure to host you and thank you for the detailed feedback. Definitely hope to host you again soon!
My boyfriend and I spent a lovely weekend getaway in Chicago and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. This cozy cottage was exactly what we needed-clean, thoughtfully decorated, and nestled in a quiet, charming neighborhood that felt like a peaceful retreat from the city. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in before and during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. That level of care made us feel truly welcomed. We especially appreciated the private driveway just steps from the door-it made coming and going so easy. The in-unit washer and dryer were also a great convenience. The home is clearly designed with families in mind, offering thoughtful touches that make it welcoming for guests with children. If you’re looking to enjoy Chicago while staying outside the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend this cottage. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and charm.
