Excellent home for a large family gathering. Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of seating between living room and dining room so everyone could feel included in all activities and conversations.
When my family needed a place to gather for the holidays, we struggled at first to find the right property. So many homes are over-priced, too small, and/or far too fancy for our dozen of family members getting together. This home was perfect for our needs: spacious, all the basics in place, and tucked away to provide privacy. We had a blast.
Very nice accommodations for our group of 8 people. Plenty of room to sit and have dinner or cook together in the kitchen. House is on a nice piece of property that is located back from the road.
Spent a great weekend near Hyde Park in this spacious house with plenty of amenities. Easily fit our big group and had an added kitchen on the basement where the younger generation hung out. Communication with host was easy. Check in and check out was seamless. Plenty to do in the area!
This house is fabulous. Cory is a great host and very accommodating. We were able to do a late check out and he was Always available to answer questions. Checking in was super easy. The house is beautiful, comfy well equipped with everything you need. Very child friendly with gates. High chairs. Pack n plays. Toys. Books. The heated pool and jacuzzi were a super hit with our gang. The grounds were amazing. Very quiet and plenty of room to run around and play sports. There are plenty of things to do nearby but we didn’t leave the house at all. It was the best vacation, spending time with our kids and grandkids making amazing memories here. Can’t wait to come back ! Thank you Cory!
We had a great visit in NY. Area was great and lots of fun things to do. House was comfy and just as described. Only problem was little kids in the upstairs bedroom had to come into Granma and Granpa's bedroom to use the bathroom at night. Also kid's were up early because of the skylight. We had a great time!
This property was beautiful and house was well stocked with many amenities. There were three families together in the one house and we all had plenty of room to enjoy each others company or not. We wished we could have spent more time in the yard but ran out of time.
This property has everything you need and is very spacious. We had 3 families staying with 7 kids and it was a perfect setup with large bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. The pool and outdoor area are large and finished nicely and the entire property is designed to keep young kids safe. Baby gates were much appreciated! Some general maintenance was overlooked during our stay (empty propane tank for gas fire pit, pool pump malfunctioning, hot tub chemical imbalances resulting in not being able to utilize it, etc.) which was disappointing. The home needs some general TLC such as fresh paint and updating as the spaces are outdated. HOWEVER, we still had a great time and the property did suit our needs. The family staying in the basement did mention it was very damp and had a slight odor however again it was fine for our 3 night stay.

Hi Caleb,
Thank you for your review and glad all had a great time! To address a few concerns:
-Empty propane for fire pit, we do keep extra propane at the house and the tank can be switched out when low.
-Pool pump malfunctioning, this was the pump to take the water off the pool cover before opening. We did receive a call from you and this was an easy fix and call was under 5 minutes. Sometimes leaves can get stuck and pump just needs to be moved so water can be pumped off before opening cover.
-The hot tub is serviced and balanced in between each rental and we have records for this from local pool store that we will gladly share with any renters. It is very important not to remove the balancing ball that we have in the hot tub which is a self-regulating hot tub stabilizer. When we spoke it had been moved to the pool thus the chlorine was low.
The house has all new appliances in the kitchen, updated bathrooms, but the overall style of the house is simple country, not a style with a modern updated feel.
We are very hands on owners and always happy to address any concerns during a stay immediately. Thank you for the feedback.
We have family in the area that we wanted to visit without overwhelming them with 9 houseguests for a week. This place had everything we were looking for! Close proximity to our family, quiet and private neighborhood, plenty of bedrooms so only spouses and the two littles had to share rooms. Two kitchens. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen for home cooking. Plenty of seating in the living area, dining area, and on the deck. There were so many kids books and toys for the kids, games, air hockey, pool table, basketball, outdoor playground, not to mention a high chair and a pack n play (which we did not need but thats a nice touch!). The tub upstairs was gorgeous and the sun shining in the window through the trees in the morning made for a lovely morning soak. My only concern was quite a bit of poison ivy near the driveway - our kids know how to identify and steer clear of it but just something we noticed. It would not prevent us from returning, though! The host was responsive, kind, and i was pleased with our interactions. Also there was not a long housekeeping list of chores for us to do upon checkout, which was pleasant. Overall a 5 star experience and we look forward to our next visit!
We had 8 adults and 1 toddler during our stay. The house was large and easily accommodated everyone (with room to spare). My son absolutely loved the battery powered cars, swing set, and train table. We were in town for the Duchess County Fair and the location couldn’t have been better.
The house could use some general TLC. There were noticeable leaks in the ceiling. Some lightbulbs needed replacing. The AC units needed either cleaning or new filters and weren’t sealed well to keep out pests. The basement apartment, while beautiful, smelled musty throughout our stay - even with emptying the dehumidifier 2x per day. Upon arrival, I had to actually sweep the floor and vacuum as there was quite a bit of dirt left behind.
There were also two incidents throughout our stay where we had to explain we were vacationing. Once, a tree service came by to provide an estimate and another where someone believed us to have checked out and had shown up to do some home repairs. It seemed to be an honest mistake with confusing the dates, however, he had asked if anyone was using the basement apartment since he had driven up from Long Island. Even if we hadn’t been using the basement, we wouldn’t have been comfortable sharing the house with a stranger when we’d paid to have it to ourselves.
Overall we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our week. The house was spacious and the property was beautiful. However, for the price, would have expected it to be a little cleaner and better maintained.
Perfect vacation home for a multigenerational family
The rooms are large, airy and well furnished. Lots of games and toys for all ages. Fabulous kitchen for a family that likes to cook m wonderful deck and grill. Best playground equipment. And quiet!!!!
The property served the needs of our extended, three-generation family very well. Main complaints were extreme mildew issues on the lower level, and some dangerously loose railings, but all in all a great stay. The host is very responsive. We loved listening to the chorus of frogs each evening!
Beautiful property tucked into the woods. Fifteen adults stayed comfortably in the six bedrooms. The house is well stocked for meals and had a dart board, air hockey table and plenty of board games. The house needs improved upkeep and more thorough cleaning but it was great for the price.
We were a group of Navy buddies and our families gathering for a relaxing weekend. The house was easy to find but felt like the middle of nowhere in the best possible way. It almost felt like our own private world! We didn't see anybody else until we were on our way out after leaving.
The home is spacious and beautifully furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a few feasts. And the kids got a kick out of the intercom system, they had a blast talking to each other in different rooms! We enjoyed keeping a cozy fire going in the fireplace which was made easy thanks to the large stacks of firewood. Cory is a terrific host who made us feel welcome before we'd even arrived. If we're ever in this area again we'd definitely stay here again.
This property was very spacious (12 people) and everyone was comfortable. The kids loved the air hockey. We were there in a snow storm so we only got to enjoy the outdoor property for a short time but is was a very pretty spot. The kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. Cory was extremely responsive to all our needs. The fireplace was great and good to have on this very chilly, snowy weekend.
My family spent the week of Thanksgiving in this spacious, comfortable home and really enjoyed it. The bedrooms are large, beds are good, and the kitchen is very well equipped. There was lots of space to spread out and relax, we really enjoyed the wood fireplace. The property is very large with the house set way back from the street, very quiet and peaceful. Cory was always responsive and was easy to work with. We would stay here again in the future.
