This was a great, convenient property for all of our family members from out of town to stay together for a graduation weekend.
I had the pleasure of staying at this house this past weekend with a group of friends. In total we were nine adults and five children. The house was spacious and clean, well-stocked with cooking utensils, and anything you might need for meal preparations and serving. The yard and surrounding land is lovely for walking, and the children enjoyed the zip line and the playground in spite of the rainy weather. Overall, a great house!
This is a beautiful and spacious house tucked away in a really nice area. We came here with a larger group and were all very comfortable. The house is close to Rhinebeck and Hyde Park and is just an hour and a half from the city!
Wonderful home but a bit musty
The house is very large and the location is great. Yard is wonderful and the house is set back so there is a lot of privacy. When we first arrived to the house and opened the doors it was very musty inside. I had brought 2 air filters with us to use as white noise. We ran them for awhile and it did make a big difference. The layout of the house was great because we had 3 families all vacationing together and we ended up being one family to a floor as far as bedrooms were concerned. The house is large but a little outdated and in need of some small repairs but that did not bother us at all. Overall if you are looking for some relaxing time in the country it is a great place to rent.
Great location, perfect for large groups
We had a college reunion (35th!) with 7 women and enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, took us from 10 to 20 minutes to get to all the attractions and towns we wanted to visit. The house is well equipped, beds comfortable and it was convenient having three bathrooms. It was easy cooking in the kitchen, very big and room for all of us. I would definitely recommend this home.
Beautiful, private home had everything we could’ve asked for.
The house had plenty of towels and sheets and many extra things like toys and fun things for the kids and a outdoor fire pit along with turkeys and deer visiting in the yard. If I had any complaints I,d have to say I was disappointed that there was hardly any place to put our groceries in the kitchen as all the cupboards had stuff in them , the basement apartment was nice to have but was musty smelling and since we had grandchildren crawling on the floors and the cleaning fee was included the floors weren’t as clean as I would’ve liked ( I cleaned cob webs and spiders out of several corners) overall the place fit our needs and we would definitely stay there again.
The house is less than 15 minutes to the wonderful village of Rhinebeck, full of charming shops, galleries, and variety of some of the best restaurants in the Hudson Valley – Italian, Mexican, French, Thai, Sushi, Local Farm to Table. For evening entertainment there is a wine bar serving crafty cocktails and live music, the cozy bar in the Beekman Arms Inn, or local pub. Sunday Rhinebeck farmer’s market is a great place to stock up local fruits and vegetables.
Mills Norrie State Park - These 1,000 acres include hiking trails, campgrounds, a public golf course & a river marina. 5 minute drive from the house.
