For family fun & memories

Met or even exceed my family's expectations to say the very least. Hav been going to NY from NC every year to a lake cottage since 1995 and this was the best one yet for families. All our friends & family that still live there wanted the info for this place in fact. Very well stocked with every day things from the start, didn't have to make an emergency run to the store. Thank you for the memories.... and don't bring your own games with you. Plenty of them there for all ages !

Worked well for our family!

It was a great house for the week! Just enough room so everyone had their own space. It was too cold to be in the back room, but I can imagine that additional space makes it perfect during warmer months. Kitchen is well stocked. Linens were plentiful.

Family friendly, comfortable and relaxing

Beautiful location right on Lake Ontario. Something for everyone to do. Rock painting, board games, Wii games, swimming in the lake, bird watching, yard games. We stayed for a week in late July and were very comfortable and entertained in the house. The house does have whole house A/C, plenty of lawn chairs, gas grill, picnic table, fire pit. An easy climb down natural rock steps allows access to swimming, floating in Lake Ontario. Bring your own inner tubes, rafts. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with crock pot, keurig (and regular brew) coffee makers, toaster, blender. We did have to drive about 20 minutes to the Super Wal-Mart for grocery shopping. The beds are super comfy...all of them had memory foam toppers. There are plenty of towels and linens and a washer and dryer and deep sink in the laundry room. Linda the property manager was very nice and helpful. Our family of 7 with 5 kids ranging in age from 23 to 10, really enjoyed our stay and are seriously considering staying again next summer. For us to all agree we had a great time is pretty miraculous!

Amazing lake view/hot bedrooms in summer/very clean property

Property is very clean and very well stocked with everything you need for your stay. Property is right on the lake and the view is amazing. Area is very peaceful and quiet. Our only disappointment was the listing doesn’t indicate whether the property has air conditioning. We discovered it does not have central air. It has a window unit in the living room which cools the living room and kitchen, but the three bedrooms got very hot during our stay in August even when using the ceiling fans and all of the extra portable fans the owner has available in the closets. We gave it 4 stars for the lack of A/C in the bedrooms. If the property at least had window A/C units in the three bedrooms we would give it 5 stars.

Overall it was a nice house.

Overall the experience was great. The house was what we expected. The view was great. The house was comfortable. PROS: There was plenty of room for us to spend time together or apart (good layout). They had all the supplies for us to paint rocks which was fun for all ages. There were also lots of games to enjoy. There was plenty of firewood to enjoy the fire pit. Both the kitchen and linen closet were well stocked. There was a little pond and garden with a tree swing that was enjoyable for all the kids. CONS: No outdoor lights where they were needed - the only exterior lights were where the cars were parked and on a set of 8ish stairs. When my father had to walk around the house with his walker to get to the ground level door, there were no lights to help see. The ground was uneven in many places with tree stumps and roots. Outdoor lights would also help with the tremendous amount of bugs. With nothing to distract from the lights inside, the bugs swarmed the doors and windows at night. Some of the screens also had holes where the bugs could come in. The cables around the tv were crazy and probably a fire hazard. None of them were labeled to know what was what. UNCONTROLABLES: Rainy and windy Hot and humid (a small ac in the living room works well but it never got hotter than the mid 80s) Lots of bugs (but outside lights would have helped)

Couldn’t ask for better!

We had a great week with family we haven’t seen in years! The house is perfect- big enough kitchen for our whole family to cook and when the bbq didn’t work, Linda reimbursed us for the temporary bbq we bought from Walmart- AMAZING!! It’s a really perfect cottage with a stunning view of Lake Ontario. Even the neighbors were wonderful! We can’t wait to come back next year :)

Very much enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed the beautful lakehouse. It's location is great for day trips to Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Lockport...and many other places in updstate NY including several state parks. The house is very well furnished and we especially liked the screened porch where we spent a good majority of our time in the mornings and evenings. The fire pit lakeside was awesome too. We cook most of our meals and we found the kitchen to be well stocked with just about everything we needed. The only negative I can think of is that the house could use some reading lights next to beds, chairs and couches. My wife and I are avid readers and we found the master bedroom lacking in reading lamps, but other than that I have no complaints and would highly recommend this beautiful lakehouse!

Well equipped and maintained. The lake was beautiful but not really great for swimming-lots of weeds! Please tell the owner that the downspout outside the lakeside bedroom appears to be clogged-the gutter overflowed and the ceiling is starting to stain. All in all a very nice accommodation!

Beautiful and spacious

Rocky waterfront but good enough to wade and swim. Beautiful campfire space. Home was beautiful and spacious. We loved finding rocks and painting them with all of the supplies provided. The home had everything that we could possibly need all provided. Owner was very accommodating and very nice. Had an amazing time visiting the surrounding towns. Not more than an hour drive from major cities with attractions.

Great Vacation House

Beautiful View

Our stay at this house was wonderful! It had tons of room for our family and friends, and was clean and comfortable. It was fully equipped with everything you need plus more ..including water toys and a paint set to paint the rocks from the beach. There is a beautiful breeze off the lake and the screen room was so relaxing and comfortable. The sunsets were beautiful and the fire pit is right by the water and stocked with wood. It is so quiet, peaceful and beautiful here! It had everything we had hoped for and we plan on coming back!

Comfortable and homey house with great lakeshore property

Our family of 12 stayed here for five days to attend our son's wedding at the White Birch Golf Course, approximately 8 minutes from the rental house. The house was a perfect fit; comfy and cozy and equipped with everything we needed. Our five little grand daughters (ages 2 to 7) especially loved the flat rocks they collected on the beach and painted (paint was provided). The house was so well equipped with games, binoculars, cookware, laundry, etc. It was so nice to be under one roof with our two children, spouses and grandchildren. Sure beats staying at a hotel. The lake was breathtaking and the yard games and fire pit was enjoyed by everyone. It felt like our home away from home. The gathering room and kitchen/dinette area accommodated our family very well. The screened in porch was our haven and we spent many hours of fun and games in there. Lots of great memories!! thanks for sharing your home with us.
