This cabin is 62 miles (60-70 minutes from Denver International Airport). This wonderful, quaint property features 2 bedrooms with a king and queen bed, a comfortable living space, and all the essentials you need for a relaxing stay.
Built in 1964, this getaway was recently completely renovated with attention to detail throughout including an outside gas firepit, new roof, new windows, a vintage style ceiling fan in living room, aromatic cedar lined closets, new kitchen appliances (including a vintage gas stove/oven), and a custom natural stone gas fireplace and pine mantle. New furnace in 3/2026.
The cabin does not have a/c like most houses in this area. It is located at 8,070 feet elevation and the temperatures are generally much cooler here than down in Denver. There are 3 ceiling fans in the cabin and all of the windows open making it easy to manage air flow and cabin temperature.
Hand stitched window curtains warmly frame your mountain views. New furniture, plush mattresses/pillows, linen, & kitchen and bath towels throughout. There is also a convenient washing machine and clothes dryer.
The kitchen is fully stocked with essential glass/plate/cookware - pictures capture contents but let us know if you have questions about specific items. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and the cabin is Starlink Wifi equipped and easy to connect to. Vizio tv w/ free viewing options and also ability to log into your Netflix, Amazon, Sling etc.
Enjoy the serene Ponderosa Pine and Aspen surroundings, unwind on the porch around the gas firepit, or take a stroll through the multitude of nearby nature trails. The location is quiet and it is not uncommon to see wildlife like deer, fox, elk, and birds on or near this 4 acre parcel. There is a short trail around the cabin that offers some sitting areas and a great birds eye view of the area, but per below, there are plenty of other nearby hiking and nature trail options:
* Natural Grocers, Starbucks, and Safeway - 8-10 minutes
* Restaurants nearby in Conifer and Pine - 10-15 minutes (listed in welcome binder inside cabin)
* Gas/Diesel station (Maverick) - Hwy 285 - 5 minutes north of cabin on Hwy 285 (1.3 miles)
Note: There is a short dirt road about 100 yards long leading to cabin but very drive-able (pictured). AWD or 4WD vehicle recommended from Nov through May in case you visit during a snow but it is generally very manageable even with a RWD vehicle.
***Cleaning - all surfaces cleaned and disinfected with special attention to all high touch surfaces like remotes, light switches, door handles and faucets.***

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable red cabin in the Rocky Mountains. It was cozy, clean, and had all the necessities for a comfortable family getaway. The spacious patio and fire pit were perfect for morning coffee and stargazing at night. The fresh flowers and thoughtful touches like local maps made it clear the owners truly care about their property. Great location with easy access to the highway for exploring the area. We’d definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay in the Little Red Cabin. It was so cozy and equipped with everything your heart could desire. The decor - very neatly arranged, the beautiful nature photographs an added bonus. We were busy with a family wedding so time was limited; we would love to return and explore the area in more depth. Thank you :)

Everything was top notch. Super clean and in great condition. Lovely patio and gas fire pit. Far enough out for great star gazing, but easy drive to Denver.

A home away from home with all you need for a relaxing vacation with the family. Beautiful & quiet
We were in town for my cousin's wedding. The house had all we needed for cooking and enjoying outdoor time at the fire pit with a hot coffee. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed relaxing quiet evenings watching the stars. The house was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed near-by shops, eateries and sights.

This cabin was so perfect! The location is great! The cabin was clean, furniture was clean & comfy, everything was so organized, and they even have fantastic little coffee bar that was such a treat! Close to great hiking trails, the Lariat Loop, and easy for us to get to/from Red Rocks Amphitheater. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening night caps on the patio. The owner was prompt & so easy to communicate with. I Highly recommend this cabin!

Very nice and cozy cabin. Great for my adult son and I as we were in town for a concert at Red Rocks (35 mins away) and hiking. Location was great - only 2 minutes from Rte. 285 but felt removed from the hub-bub with nice relaxing views of mountain scenery. Also only about 7 mins. from Staunton State Park. Great patio with gas fire-pit.

Thank you Mike for sharing your review! Glad to hear the location was good and setting was relaxing.
Cozy cabin away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough to commute for entertainment. Flew into Denver airport, about 50 minutes away from the cabin but easy drive to the cabin. Enjoyed a concert at Red Rock and the drive to Red Rock was only 30 minutes. This cabin felt cozy, clean, and surrounded by the nature of the Rocky Mountain wildlife. Mule deer came by every morning. We saw elk grazing down the road in a nearby field. Chipmunks all around the cabin were fun to watch. Great stay and cabin exactly as described.

Thank you Stephanie for your review. Glad to hear that you were able to see some local wildlife while you were here! Best, James and Keda
We had a very relaxing vacation at the Little Red Cabin. We came for a wedding in Littleton, which this location was perfect for all of the wedding events. We saw a lot of birds, chipmunks, mule deer, and my favorite, Abert’s squirrel. This cabin was perfect for us, and I loved the special little touches that awaited us inside the cabin. Clean is an understatement for this cabin. It was absolutely spotless and very organized. We enjoyed the fireplace on cold mornings and evenings. Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain that week and weren’t able to use the outdoor fire ring, but it is so nice and beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin. I hope we can return again sometime in the near future.

Thank you for your review Steve S. I’m glad the gas fireplace worked well for you during colder morning and evenings - and hopefully the weather will cooperate better if you return so that you can use the outdoor fire pit too! Appreciate your review! James and Keda
We loved our stay in this cozy, comfortable cabin with gorgeous mountain views! Inside was beautifully appointed with a modern-rustic feel and lovely photos of Colorado’s floral, fauna and landscapes throughout. High quality kitchenware, furniture, and linens gave a luxurious feel. We were so grateful to find this properly which accommodated our daughter’s wheelchair. The level entry, spacious outdoor patio, and living area were perfect. The bathroom was rather tight, but we were able to make it work. James was an excellent communicator answering all my questions, taking measurements, and sending photos to assure us prior to booking. James and Keda also went above and beyond helping us to reserve a special Track Chair at beautiful nearby Staunton State Park, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip! The kitchen was very nice, however the microwave was difficult for me at 5’0” to reach above the refrigerator, even with the provided step stool, but it was a minor inconvenience. We loved the cozy ambiance of the gas fireplace and gas fire pit during the cool mountain nights. Almost every morning we saw mule deer which was a real treat. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it a few days! It was a wonderful central location for us to take excursion trips to Breckenridge, Colorado Springs, and Denver. We highly recommend a stay at the Little Red Cabin!

We moved from Arkansas to this beautiful area about 4 years ago drawn by the peaceful overtures and serene beauty. We spend a lot of time out on the hiking trails year round and it never gets old. We feel very fortunate to call this area our home.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the area, driving proximities, or to provide some good hiking suggestions based on your timeframe and interests.
Why they chose this property
This cabin is located within a very small, quiet community. There are only 6 houses on this mountain road. We neighbor the little red cabin but likely you'll never see us unless you need us to address a cabin need or would like to chat.
It has a very secluded feel. The cabin is very to easy access from Hwy 285. Once you exit you will be at the cabin in less than 5 minutes.
There is regular wildlife about with deer, fox, birds, squirrels, bear, and elk about depending on the season. You will occasionally see a neighbor drive by on the dirt road but the cabin sits higher above and you will hardly notice any passings. There are a few seating areas around the cabin and very short trail that loops around so you can take a short walk and take in different views.
The cabin sits on 4 acres with no other houses nearby so you are in store for a natural, quiet retreat.
What makes this property unique
This cabin was built in 1964 and has a vintage, mountain feel to it.
New porch, new roof, new windows, new chimney/gas fireplace inside and out, new appliances, completely remodeled bath, new barn doors, and refinished floors throughout. A tankless water heater and 5 stage whole house filter meet all of your hot water and drinking water needs. The fresh mountain well water is excellent.
There is also a brand new outside firepit that makes for relaxing and fire safe evenings as you can watch the sunset from the patio.
Overall, this cabin oozes coziness and relaxation and we hope you will consider visiting.
