The property is very nice. It can accommodate a very large family and or group. The kids had a blast in the game room and it came in very handy on our only rainy day. The beach is large however the 20,000 square feet of beach description is a stretch as it was sandy in the "Volley Ball" court only. The rest was tall grass and weeds. The cabin was not clean to what I would consider normal resort cleanliness. When making dinner on day one and looking for a particular pan and you find a rotting bag of potatoes in hall closet, I'm here to tell you its a long road back to giving this property a five star rating. The walk to the beach is not easy and was described correctly by the owner. BE PREPARED! Overall it's a great location on the White Fish Chain of lakes. Very easy to navigate to any lake and or eating establishment on the lake. We brought our own boat and water toys. It was a great location for all events and easy access to the smaller Island Lake on the windy days. Of all my reviews on VRBO, this is the only time I felt the need to demonstrate the owners description of property was over delivered and under performed.
Beautiful lake and neighborhood! The views were lovely. Tall trees everywhere overlooking the view of the lake.
Plenty of outdoor space to play, sit and entertain.
The home was filled with love from many years!
Our family enjoyed our time together at the lake!
John was awesome to communicate with and We had a great time on the property, but the hill down to the beach was treacherous and lengthy which meant my 70 year old parents weren’t able to enjoy the water and prevented most of us from wanting to go back and forth. Fire pit under the pines was amazing. Bunk room was perfect for the 4 teens.

The hill down to the beach is quite beautiful and is spread along side a double lot and one of the many "run off" areas along the Whitefish Chain. It covers a modest 40 feet of elevation over its 200 or so feet with a combination of a lovely timbered and very gradual set of steps, an intermediate platform with all of six traditional steps and a bark trail. We clearly indicate in the listing that we do not recommend the property for the INFIRM. :-). I am 67 and navigate it daily but it is not intended for elderly folks with canes, limited vision or balance issues. Always good to read the listings. Thanks for your input, Sean.

Gorgeous spot for summer reunion
Our family had a great time on our second trip back to Deeside. The private beach is pretty amazing. Great volleyball games, perfect water for the kids, room enough on the dock to party a bit and be on the water. The kids loved the game room. Lots to do. Beautiful setting and very private.

Why they chose this property
The property is large enough to hold some heavily wooded areas and many deertrails. Deer generally migrate each evening at dusk through the property and the feeding areas lakeside.
Towering pines throughout the property are splendid, but none more memorable that the pines that surround the 'north fire pit' creating a sureal darkness which opens to a splendid view of the stars which simply can't be captured in the 'cities' - a very cozy, peaceful 'planetarium' effect.
The 'south firepit' provides some 'away' space for the teens and possibly a good spot for some wummer fireworks. Located on Manattan Point on Whitefish Lake and adjacent to Big Trout Lake.
What makes this property unique
Deeside is the best. Gorgeous views and beach on Lower Whitefish Chain. Lots of deer, wildlife, tons of things to do for the kids.
Cozy cabin and bunkhouse, loads of activities for all ages and one of the very finest settings on the entire Whitefish Chain. Horseshoes, Basketball, Tetherball, Foosball, Darts, Fire Pits and more!
