Bienvenido a Villa Hukuna Matata! Experience Santa Veronica like a local in this 3 BR/3 BA Tropical beach Villa. Nestled in a tranquil tropical setting, this superb property offers a mix of tropical comfort and charm. The home is located in the heart of Santa Veronica, Colombia with with beach directly across the street. Historic Kiteboarding at La Playa Salinas del Rey is down the street and within 35 mins to Barranquilla & 45 min to Cartegena. The home boasts an open floor plan with two floors, great for entertaining & privacy. Step outside to the large open patio on both floors, freshwater pool, BBQ grill, outdoor shower, pool house & pool bathroom.
The beaches are great for Kiteboarding, surfing & other watersport activities. Located at Playa Salinas Del Rey is a new watersports center that caters to Kitesurfers, where you can rent watersports equipment & kitesurfing lessons.
Villa Hakuna Matata is also available to rent at additional costs, for pool weekends (no access to house, pool only), Quinceanera's, Birthday Parties, Weddings etc. by reservations and approval only. Let us know your interest and we will see if we can accommodate you! For pool weekends, we can provide a house host at an additional cost.

I am from Colombia and my Husband is American. We reside in Miami, FL. This is our Colombian beach house that we enjoy with our family and small children several times a year. We love different cultures and love traveling to new places. We love Colombia and Santa Veronica and want others to enjoy the home and share the same great experiences as we do, but with their family and friends. We are always trying to improve the home and the experiences of our guests. So, suggestions are always welcome on how we can improve!
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is small and very friendly. Many of the neighbors have been in the area for 10-20 years. Everything is in walking distance from the home...beach, restaurants, Tiendas, & shopping. Santa Veronica is known for its great trade winds that welcome Kite Surfers from all over the world. See the welcome page here on VRBO for more info. There is a small church, hardware store and small tiendas nearby. As you stroll through the neighborhood you can hear and see the sounds of Parrots and all kinds of nature, accompanied by great tropical weather year around! The restaurants are also delicious! Ranging from typical Colombian dishes to Peruvian and Italian restaurants. There is also and CrossFit style gym down the street from the home. It's just a great all-around friendly neighborhood right next to the beach.

The home has a huge open floor plan that makes it great for hosting family and friends and a very large outdoor pool area that serves as a great relaxing spot. The home has AC and is just across the street from the beach and water without having to pay the "beach front" prices.
