About this property

This Home Is An Artist Designed, Contemporary House Completed In Spring 2016

This two story house which best sleeps a combination of 7 adults and kids. There are four bedrooms (1 downstairs) and a kids nautical themed room which sleeps four in bunks like a sailboat cabin. It is centrally heated and cooled and all bedrooms have individual A/C. Units. There are two bathrooms one with a walk in shower and other a soaking tub.

The home has lots of light, a fire place, heated floors and is clean, modern and comfortable. The kitchen is complete with state of the art appliances, a four burner Wolf stove and imported Italian cabinets. There is an outdoor brick patio with gas fired grill and fire pit.

It is a short car ride to to downtown South Haven and public access to Lake Michigan and both North and South Public gorgeous white sand beaches.

A wonderful stay again

This is our second time staying in The house and it was just wonderful. We love grilling and eating outside and relaxing in the hammock and the house is extremely comfortable and well appointed. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful South Haven Stay!

Beautiful house and property. Quiet and private yet close to several beaches and within a short drive to Saugatuck, Holland, lots of quaint places! Wineries and breweries, too! Klindt was a terrific host and we would stay again without question!

Great stay in South Haven

This is our second time staying at this property. Ample room for 5 adults, a 2 year old and pets. We love the closeness to the beach and other nearby towns like Saugatuck and Holland. We would highly recommend - Klindt is very attentive and a great host.

Amazing home!

This home is just beautiful. The proximity to the beach and town were fantastic, but the house itself is a work of art. Our son who is an aspiring architect wants to book our next stay as soon as we can. Host was beyond nice, accommodating and communicative. Couldn’t have asked for a better week!

Perfect family getaway

The house was in perfect proximity to beaches and to grocery stores. The area was super quiet and we saw deer every day, which we greatly enjoyed. If you are used to your room being really dark, I would recommend bringing an eye mask for the morning hours, especially for the upstairs room with the skylights 😊

Eclectic woodsy house

This house was perfect for our family. We wanted to be close to the beach, but away from the crowds. The house was a short golf cart ride away to the beach and shops. The house was supplied with everyday needs. Klindt was responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.

BEAUTIFUL HOME! GREAT LOCATION!

We had a wonderful time exploring the area and having this beautiful home to come back to and relax. The comfortable and clean house has everything you need for a your stay and is appointed with artful touches. We enjoyed the large, gated yard as much as our pups did! The home's location is close to downtown South Haven yet far enough to have wooded seclusion without the city noise. Klint was a gracious host and we so enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning to this lovely home!

Great base to explore

We really enjoyed our week-long stay in Klindt's house. It is very well designed for a vacation stay, and could easily host two couples plus additional guests. The kitchen is VERY well supplied, and the furnishings very high quality throughout. It also includes unique art and woodwork, and higher end bathroom fixtures. The property is also very clean and well cared for, and Klindt a very responsive and helpful host. We hope to stay here again someday!

Wonderful home and property

We really enjoyed our stay in Klindt's home with our family and two dogs. Great kitchen, shower, art and yard, with plenty of beds, privacy, fireflies and even a few deer each morning! Our dogs loved playing frisbee in the yard, and my son enjoyed the hammock. Only about a mile from the smaller beaches, and maybe two miles from North Beach. We also walked our dogs along the scenic Kal-Haven trail, which is nearby. Would love to stay again!

Delightful Michigan Sojourn

Klindt greeted us personally at check-in and was very responsive to our needs throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the proximity of the lovely house to both South Haven and also Saugatuck and Douglas (just 20 mins drive). A couple evenings we savored some time in the peaceful backyard around the fire pit. The stay felt like the perfect blend of tranquil “forest” and coastal delights. We would most definitely stay here again. Our family pup, Penny, would agree, as it was a perfect frisbee yard!

Wonderful Retreat

We loved our week in this beautiful house. Location was tucked away and so quiet, but with easy access to downtown South Haven and the lake. But if you’re looking for a place to relax, unwind, read and just enjoy being away from the every day, this is it. The house is amazingly designed and full of beautiful wood and art. Our dog was even more relaxed than we’ve ever seen her! Klindt made it easy to book and to get in touch with any questions. Looking forward to coming back.

Tucked away but close to lake!

We were so happy to find a property with a fenced in yard. We ended up not bringing our dog but now feel comfortable that it would work in future. The owner was very responsive and the place was as described. Grill worked great and we enjoyed the outdoor green space. Only thing i would say is that all dishes were china and breakable! We didn't find any kitchen towels, although there were starter paper prodcuts and soap so that was nice. Our family was able to relax and enjoy South Haven with this wonderful house as our base camp.

Great Getaway

What a perfect location, quiet and private! We were only a few minutes away from multiple beaches and a short drive to stores/ restaurants. The house itself is beautiful and well stocked with everything a family could need/ want. He even had beach chairs, towels, paper towels, soap, toilet paper, pantry items and enough pots/pans and dishes to keep my family going for a whole week. There was only one bad thing about the property itself, poison ivy. There was poison ivy all around the fencing of the property. We specifically picked this house so we could let our two golden retrievers out into the enclosed yard. Unfortunately, we always had to walk out with them to keep them out of the poison ivy. I did mention it to the owner and he stated that it has been treated. We most definitely would stay again if the poison ivy was cleaned out.

Peaceful, relaxing, get-away.

We are two retired couples traveling with our two black Labs. What a great location and wonderful home to spend 10 days next to Lake Michigan. This experience went well beyond our expectations. Owner, Klindt provided all the assistance and advice for us to have a truly memorable vacation. Hope to return in the near future.
