Secluded, yet central to SIX communities: Shawnigan Lake, Mill Bay, Cobble Hill, Cowichan Bay, Victoria and Duncan and amenities.

'Come experience how it can be to live 'off the grid' sustainably in a beautiful, whisper quiet, peaceful, Eco-friendly, and a popular lodge near the TC bike trail. Family friendly with fire-pits, gazebo, outhouse, campsite, basketball court, picnic tables and Playground.

* Newly upgraded solar system (June/ 21) & High speed unlim Starlink WIFI. Modern, automated, Off-grid systems/solar with lithium batteries & backup power. All-gas appliances, on demand hot water.
Private deck/ enclosed dog pen. Shabby chic country design...Kayak, and paddleboard available.

Stay in the 3 BR+Den main w/ huge Pacific Energy wood stove. Campsites upon request.

Pet friendly: If needed, there is a fenced pen surrounding entrances/ decks.

Biking: Next to the Transcanada trail (Victoria or/Duncan, Cowichan)

Walking distance to 'Burnt Bridge', Koksilah provincial campground.

Many (Unsworth,Merridale) Vinyards in area. Kinsol Trestle is a 10 min drive. River, waterfalls and Hiking trails surround. Wildlife mecca.

Kinsol Trestle and the Cowichan Valley Bike Trail to North Island from Victoria has been restored. After the fire of 1993..

10 minutes to West Shawnigan lake beach park, Shawnigan Lake school and the town Village -all the basics.

Victoria, numerous amenities, golf courses, wineries, and ferries within an hour..

Cell Service ****** Rogers Cell Service works at the property. Bell and Telus the signal is not as strong.

There is a caretaker on staff on site and/or 24/7 assistance to manage all off grid systems so that all you need to worry about is how much fun you are having.:-)
Security or Damage Deposit

A refundable security/damage deposit of 200.00 CAD is due immediately.
When warranted, the deposit (or portion thereof) is refunded within 5 days of departure., Groups of young adults may be subject to a larger deposit.

A security deposit of 100.00 CAD is not included in any calculations for the 'Total Rent' or 'Booking Notice'.

Property is waterfront (i.e. no properties between the property and water OR property is in a community with private waterfront access).
Koksilah River is a 2 minute walk from the property crossing a road. The sand and rocks beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. There is no dock, moorage or float anchor.
Beautiful private swimming: several beach areas on the river

Property is not near a ski resort.
Telephone Fee

Phone use is included in the rent.
Guest's mobile phone is recommended. There is no phone supplied.
Outbound long distance calls are restricted to a calling card, collect calls or toll free numbers.
