Key West Oasis, Seperate Cottage, Very Private Pool and Back Yard

Please Note: Key West Oasis is NOT suitable for families with young children, as the 2nd bedroom is not attached to the main house - it is in a back cottage, separated by a pool. On the other hand, this is the perfect layout for two couples or families with older children, as this setup offers much more privacy.

Key West Oasis is a private two bedroom/two bath rental house ideally located in Charming Old Town, Key West, Florida, close to Duval street, great restaurants, bars and the beach.

This 1906 'cigar maker's cottage' has been newly renovated into a stylish Key West retreat. The house features an open floor plan with original Dade County pine walls and ceilings. The main house has hard wood flooring throughout and houses the master suite, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and the living and dining area. Inside the house are all the comforts of home, with every room providing its own unique feel.

Three sets of French doors lead from the living and dining area onto your own private lanai and pool area. Bask in the sun and listen to the tranquil sounds of falling water, which is the backdrop of the heated pool. Tropical plants and flowers are abundant and offer complete privacy for guests. The back gardens and pool area were designed to create a calming effect, which pervades the mind, body and spirit.

The detached cottage offers a 2nd bedroom and bath with a private open-air shower – what better way to enjoy your morning shower than amidst flowering bougainvillea trees! The cottage also features 20 ft vaulted ceilings and two sets of French doors which open to the garden and pool area. Guests tell us they love having the detached cottage, as it offers couples traveling together much more privacy.

Once in a lifetime trip

We had an incredible time! The private pool was outstanding. If you do not mind a short walk you are blocks away from Duval. We had on and off weather but access to our own private pool made the trip.

Great place to stay in Key West!!!!!

This was a very nice house with everything you needed. Location was perfect - fat enough from the noise and tourist areas but close enough to walk wherever you wanted to go. Very clean and well-stocked. I would highly recommend KWO. I have been to Key West many times and this was by far the best stay.

Paradise Found!

KWO is truly paradise. The house is amazing. The pool is to die for. Kim was wonderful to work with. The house is convenient for the grocery store and the all important Old Town liquor store. Just a short walk to all the major parts of town. We loved staying here and we will be back. Thank you Kim for sharing your amazing house.

What a great home to stay in while you’re enjoying Key West. Looks just like the pictures you see on the website. Very clean, very charming. Great kitchen, we cooked dinner every night there. Neat quiet neighborhood if you enjoy sleeping at night lol! Still close to town. My favorite bar, Don’s dive bar right around the corner. Please don’t hesitate to book this property. You won’t be disappointed!

SPECTACULAR KEY WEST OASIS

My wife and I have vacationed in Oasis on 3 occasions over the past 7 years. On each occasion, our vacation experience has been fantastic. The property is a quiet and relaxing tropical paradise in an unassuming neighborhood just a few blocks from the bustle of downtown. Those who reside in Oasis will find it difficult to leave this beautiful garden spot to experience the other adventures beyond the front door. Oasis is a very special place! The main house, guest cottage, patio and heated pool with waterfall are all magical ... well maintained, beautifully furnished, and very clean. We have been impressed on every visit and will continue to vacation in Oasis as our travels return us to sunny Key West in the future.

Perfect Vacation!

Our vacation at Key West Oasis was definitely one of the best trips we’ve ever been on. From start to finish it was the perfect trip. I spoke with Kim when I booked the trip and she was just great to work with. I felt like I was talking to the concierge at a five star hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted by Gary who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. With the front house and back cottage it was the perfect arrangement for two couples. After a couple of days lounging around the pool I have to say the name Key West Oasis is the perfect description. It’s so quiet and private that your stress just melts away and time seems to have no real meaning. We can’t wait to get back there again. I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else in Key West.

This one's a keeper!!

My husband and I stayed with my parents at Key West Oasis for 9 nights in March. We have been going to Key West for over 20 years and have stayed in many hotels and rented many houses. We normally stay closer to Duval Street, but we did not find the location of this house to be an issue at all. It is still in Old Town, you feel more like a local, and you can get away from the craziness. It is a quick bike ride or a nice walk - no car needed. It is very difficult to find a tastefully decorated, well maintained home with a private pool, and PRIVACY! Key West Oasis is all of these things and more. Kim was great to work with, and Gary met us to go over everything and answer any questions. The cottage in the back makes this house very comfortable for 2 couples or a family, and the pool is awesome. You will not regret renting this beautiful home!

Paradise Found!

My husband and our neighbors/friends had an incredible time at Key West Oasis this week. The home and guest cottage are exactly as pictured. It is truly a place to relax and get off the beaten path in Key West. We enjoyed the pool every day after walking around and visiting all the attractions. We had drinks on the porch. The separate quarters for two couples were perfect! My husband and I like to sleep in and relax in vacation so we took the guest house. Loved the outdoor shower experience and the quiet! Our friends are early risers so they could get up and out without disturbing us. It as a great fit! I would highly recommend this property if you would like a getaway from Duval Street hustle and bustle. You can walk or Uber to most anything in minutes. It is truly a relaxing retreat! Kim was wonderful to work with and met every need! We can’t wait to return!

Paradise Found

This gorgeous and comfortable home was perfect in every way. We were amazed daily, as the owner has thought of every single amenity for comfort. The kitchen was well stocked way beyond our expectations. Every room in this property are so artistically decorated. The name Oasis is the only name this home could have, as it describes it perfectly. The fabulous heated pool, with the lush tropical landscaping, comfortable loungers and a wonderful covered porch, made it hard for us to want to leave for other activities! The central location of this house makes it easy to walk to many places, but we suggest renting bikes. The bike shops have reasonable weekly rates, and what better way to explore the small streets and neighborhoods, but by bikes? We went to Smather's beach daily, which is about 5-10 min by bike. The beaches are clean and you can rent a chair for $10. We rode down to many restaurants and spoke with locals to find the best happy hours. There is a Fausto's food market about 2 blocks away, that is well stocked, the bike rental was a block and a half away, this fabulous home is tucked away on a quiet street, but we could be anywhere in key West via bike in 10-15 min. We can't give this property high enough recommendations! The owner Kim, was so easy to work with, and we can't thank Kim enough! Our week in Key West at the Oasis, was one of our best vacation experiences ever.

Key West Oasis was nothing short of perfect! We had one little maintenance hiccup on day one. But not to worry- It was taken care of IMMEDIATELY! The service and communication were spot on! the property was immaculately clean. The main area of Duval Street was about 8-9 blocks away. So very convenient. We would definately stay here again.

Amazing Vacation Accommodations and Host!

Everything about this vacation rental and our host/owner (Kim) was stellar. Kim was very prompt at responding to questions and providing suggestions to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. She really went above and beyond to assure we would have a vacation to remember!!! The location was within walking distance to the majority of the highlights we wished to visit and to the downtown Duval Street area. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted and given a tour of the home. It was an absolute pleasure staying in this quaint 'oasis' while visiting Key West.The main house and cottage were immaculate when we arrived and although we had one slight maintenance issue during our stay it was addressed immediately and we were not inconvenienced in the least. I would highly recommend staying here and we would not hesitate to book again in the future when visiting Key West.

Wonderful and Relaxing

The property is exactly as described and as illustrated by online photos. All the other online reviews confirm that this place is simply wonderful, clean and perfect for couples. We spent most of our time enjoying the secluded pool and patio. The owner was accommodating and responsive. The property manager was prompt and a pleasure to meet with upon our arrival. Our stay was relaxing and everything we hoped for. We would absolutely consider staying at KWO again in the future.

Happy family get away

My husband and I joined our son (US Navy) and daughter-in-law for a workweek get away. Arrived on Monday afternoon and departed Saturday morning. Everything was cozy and comfortable. Cooking was easy and lots of room to rest, play cards, enjoy sips by the pool and just relax. Nice place to spend family time with each couple having their own private space. Would do again, but a different time of year.

Truly an oasis!

When planning our honeymoon we didn't want to stay at a hotel, so we looked on VRBO and found this rental and it was perfect!! It is in a very quiet location which we loved, but also very close to Duval! It's about a 5 minute or so Uber ride to Duval which was super convenient. We did walk there one of the days and it wasn't terrible, but can get very hot. We loved having our own private pool which is hidden away in the backyard with lots of plants and greenery. One down side was we did have to leave 2 days early due to hurricane Ian, however Kim did refund us for those missed days. If we go back we would absolutely stay here again! The perfect honeymoon spot and truly and oasis!

Absolutely PERFECT!!

It is most definitely an oasis. There were 4 us, 2 couples, and there was plenty of room. The main living quarters and the guest cottage are separated by the perfect pool. There are houses on both sides, but the beautiful landscaping in the pool area make you feel like you’re on a hidden island. Close enough to Duval to hang out there every night. The kitchen is very nice with newer appliances. I cannot say enough good things about this oasis. We hope to be back soon!!

A paradise like no other.

Perfect Getaway

My boyfriend and I traveled to Key West week of June 11. Check in instructions were received prior to our departure and communication with Kim was great. Gary was also great and made himself available for anything we needed but did not interfere. The property was everything we needed and then some! Our plan was to cook during the trip but the property was located close to so many good places to eat we only cooked twice. We spent most of our time outdoors on the patio and in the pool as the backyard had total privacy and picturesque. This property offered one of the most relaxing vacations - we are already looking forward to booking there again soon.
