The Avenue Carriage House is a charming 500 sq foot, 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit on the historic 3rd Avenue. It can sleep up to 4 guests with the queen bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Just 3 blocks to the train station, it's perfectly located to walk to everything Downtown Durango has to offer. The unit is newly constructed and has been completed with modern furnishings and high end stainless steel appliances. It has a private, south facing roof-top deck to enjoy the morning sun or evening BBQ. Durango permit #CUP14-07

This was one of the best VRBO’s we have stayed in so far. The location to downtown Durango was superb. We walked everywhere. The property itself was very cozy and comfortable. Owners were very pleasant and communicative. Will stay here again the next time we are in Durango. Highly recommend.

My husband and I will be coming back for sure! We will definitely be referring to friends and family as well. The living room furniture was upgraded from the original photos. So that was an extra surprise! Overall, this Vrbo was PERFECT for the two of us!! We enjoyed our stay!

Great Location and Cutest Place Ever

A perfect place to stay for hanging out in downtown Durango. Close to everything downtown. We walked everywhere. Top of the line kitchen appliances, comfy bed and furniture, quiet neighborhood. Can’t wait to stay again!!

Owner was very responsive, location was perfect. Air conditioning was only in the bedroom so it did get hot in the living room, but the weather was cool so not too much of an issue.

This Carriage House is a gold nugget located near the heart of the historic downtown. Dan and Jill were perfect hosts and wen the extra mile to make sure we had a wonderful visit. The lay out of the apartment was well thought out and the patio was delightful. The bed was comfortable and kitchen well stocked. We cant wait to visit again!

Beautiful Durango Carriage House

We had an incredible stay in this lovely upstairs garage apartment. Well appointed. Fantastic Design. Everything you could need for 2 people. Lots of storage to unpack for a week. Beautiful views from the private upstairs deck. Fantastic location - we walked to town and the river every day. Hosts were friendly, helpful, and quick to reply. Highly recommend!

Great Location

Apartment is a great location to downtown. Drive or walk, either way its not far, but still quiet. A/C is decent for being portable. Coming from the south, it didn't feel as cool with a/c on, but think thats the difference in no humidity. :) at night we slept with the windows open, and it was comfortable. Had everything you would need. Well stocked. Thanks for a great stay Dan.

A short visit (5 days) to visit Durango and ski a couple of days at Purgator

We had a great time. The accommodations were exactly as listed. I can't think of a better place to stay in Durango. You can easily walk to Main Street and other places which was a big deal since my wife loved the shopping so close by. We grilled out on the deck in the middle of winter, and used the kitchen for other meals to avoid eating out so much. The host kept the stairs and patio cleared of snow and salted so the heavy snowfall we encountered was not a problem. We plan on returning this year.

Not handicapped accessible but beautiful loft apartment!!!

I thought I could do the stairs no problem, but really they're not handicapped accessible and thats my fault because the stairs were in the picture so I knew what I was getting into but you have to walk a ways to park and that was hard too. Not to mention our car got covered in sticky crap because it was under a tree and now it won't come off. But over all the unit itself was beautiful. Had everything you could think of that you would need and the checkout instructions were very easy. Wouldn't stay here again just because of my restrictions but I would definitely recommend it to those who don't have any handicaps.

Wonderful stay for my daughter’s birthday! The house was clean, cozy, and beautifully furnished. Loved sipping coffee on the balcony in the cool fall mornings. Host was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. Highly recommend this home for a relaxing getaway.

Great location!!! Easy to access downtown. My son had a car and there was a dedicated space for parking which is an added plus! We walked most of the time but after my son left town we did need a couple of Ubers. (They are very limited in Durango) even so the pickup spot for this rental was easy. The unit was very clean and looks just like the photos. We will stay here again when we return to Durango.
