About this property
Secluded River Retreat-Fall color tours, Park and ride to trails, Family getaway
Plenty of room to park and turn around your trucks and trailers and ride your ATV/ORV from the property. Lewiston Grade Road ORV trail is 1/4 from here. Your cozy river retreat awaits in Grayling, Michigan at this secluded and peaceful 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home on the East Branch of the Au Sable River. One king bed, three queen beds and 2 queen sleeper sofas offer enough space for family and friends to gather for a time of fun, adventure and relaxation. In addition to all that Northern Michigan has to offer, you are in the heart of "river country" with world-renowned trout fishing on the Au Sable River as well as the near-by Manistee River. With close proximity to ORV trails there is no need to trailer your "toys" as you can ride directly from the house...and there is plenty of room for parking in the circular driveway and beyond. In addition, you are close to horse trails, snowmobile trails, hiking trails and Hartwick Pines. Additional spaces include an additional living room with a sofa bed and an office space with a futon. It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at our cabin...sit out on the upper deck and listen to the river rushing by. Or sit down on the lower patio, basking in the sun and watching the fish jump. So, whether you have a large group that needs a lot of space for a lot of people OR if you just need a nice, quiet getaway, this place will not disappoint! Fully stocked and ready for you to have a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Hosted by Sue Whipple
We live about an hour away in Lake City, Michigan. We love everything Northern Michigan and when looking for a little getaway, we wanted something on a river, secluded and near the trails. We also desired a place that could bring people together for fun, for celebrations.
We wanted a place where family and friends can gather to encourage one another, build relationships and to make memories. We are excited for you to visit and enjoy your stay at our cabin. We want you to make yourselves at home and to ENJOY every aspect of all this beautiful place has to offer. We delight in making a warm, special and beautiful place for YOU to feel at home!

Why they chose this property
We chose this area because we fell in love with the sound of the river. We love the seclusion that this place offers. We love the space that this home and outdoor space allows for larger gatherings but yet can be quaint and secluded for a little getaway as well. We love the little town of Grayling and their love for the Au Sable and Manistee Rivers. The restaurants are fabulous and we love how friendly the town-folk are!
What makes this property unique
This property is unique in that it sits right on the East Branch of the Au Sable River. You can hear the bubbling of the river from inside the house. This property abuts State Land on two sides and the ORV trails are right outside the driveway (no need to trailer your "toys"). Plenty of parking. Plenty of outdoor space as it has an upper deck, lower patio, screened in porch and fire pit right next to the river. As far as indoor space there are three different living rooms, four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. Well-stocked kitchen. Gas grill out on the patio.
