Damage and incidentals

we have stayed in this property 2 years running now . The location is perfect if you want to stay on trogir island. The staff at dalmation property services were brilliant and came out at 10.30 on a saturday night to check us into the property. The advice they gave us while in trogir was excellent and always a smile. The apartment has a private patio area with good views over trogir and is a sun trap during the day. We appreciated the air conditioning at night and the shower was powerfull and refreshing . We never cooked while there because the restaurants , cafes and bars are all a good standard to suit all tastes and budgets . We would thoroughly reccomend the boats to medina beach and okrug gorni .We love trogir and were sorry to leave hopefully we will be back again . Thankyou Dalmation tavel you made it special . xxxx.
Trogir in September
Tulipan apartment was in a great location, close to restaurants, shops and the water. It was ideal for two people, well equipped and spotlessly clean. In fact, exactly as advertised. The people in the Dalmatian Property office couldn't have been more helpful and Marija gave us a friendly welcome on our arrival at midnight. The terrace was lovely and we enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine and a nightcap by moonlight.
Trogir itself is a beautiful place and was still quite busy with tourists but in an enjoyable way although I don't think I would like to visit at the height of the season. Being able to take a boat ride to different beaches and also to Split just added to the enjoyment.
Great holiday, will visit again in the future.
Tulipan apartment is ideal for 2 people.
We found the apartment an ideal base for exploring Trogir with restaurants, market, supermarkets all nearby. Also with buses, ferries and tours easily accessed we explored further afield eg. Split, islands of Ciovo and Drvenik Veli and also Sibenik and the waterfalls in Krka national park on the mainland. From previous reports we were slightly concerned about the bells which ring from 6.00am all day at quarter hour intervals but thankfully not through the night, but actually found them quite tuneful!
On the downside, not wanting to eat out every day, I would have liked there to be more basic kitchen equipment to make eating in ( the roof terrace was lovely in the evenings) easier.....why not invest in a small microwave that could sit on the worktop? Light from the outside street light was also a problem shining straight into the bedroom but we managed to shade the shutters to a certain extent.
These are only minor gripes though as we thoroughly enjoyed our 11 days.
Clean, central accomodation.
The apartment was clean and right in the centre of the old city. It was easy to walk from the Island to the other island and the mainland. The roof terrace was a good place to sit outside, although it looked forlorn with a dead looking plant and a broken table. We had a lovely week exploring Croatia, which is a beautiful country, one we would love t visit again. Although the houses on the island are all close together it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful.
We are very happy that Kirstie had a lovely holiday in Trogir and at Apt Tulipan. We are sorry that she didn't mention the table being broken during her stay as we would have wanted to fix or replace it immediately so she could enjoy using it. We have asked the owner to remove the dead plant, we've very sorry it was left there.
Charming apartment in lovely location
Overall, we had a lovely stay. Unfortunately and presumably due to a mix up over arrival times, the apartment had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. However, after contacting Dijana, the cleaner arrived in next to no time to replace sheets, towels and have a clean up and was very apologetic. Not a good start to our week but quickly and easily remedied. The apartment was exactly as described and we enjoyed the sound of the bells from the countless church towers surrounding us. We had imagined that staying in the middle of a town would be noisy but on the contrary, it was surprisingly peaceful. The roof terrace was the best part, fabulous for meals or to sit and read a book. We certainly agree with a previous guest regarding towels and would definitely have exchanged the unnecessary second kettle for better and bigger towels, but that was the only thing we were not entirely happy with and something that could very easily be remedied.
Trogir is fabulous, especially out of season, still bustling but not crowded. Amazing streets to get lost in (and we did a time or two). Waterfront very atmospheric and lovely for a stroll at any time of day. Cross the second bridge and walk on the island of Ciovo or find a little beach. The options are endless. Take a water taxi to Okrug on Ciovo, about 30 minutes and around £2.75 each. We took a local bus to Split, about one hour and about £15 return for 2 of us, very good value and well worth a visit, it is beautiful.
Didn't eat out often as it was delightful to sit and eat out on our own roof terrace and great if you are on a budget. Several supermarkets on both islands and mainland at similar costs to UK. Most of the restaurants seemed to have similar menus and fast food bars were excellent value, with some local specialities and all food cooked freshly in front of you.
We took a taxi from the airport to the office which we felt was expensive but caught the local bus from the bus station on the mainland back to the airport. Buses run every 30 minutes and take around 10 minutes and drop you right outside. Cost about £1.75.
Book it and have a great time, we did!
Come in the high season of July and August and you'll find Trogir vibrant with life with holidaymakers from all over Europe.
During the day enjoy the local beaches, water sports and the beach side cafe bars and restaurants on the island of Čiovo.
In Trogir Old Town enjoy wandering along the quaint cobbled alleyways and shopping in the many jewelry and arts and craft shops. Alternatively rent a car and explore the natural beauty and scenery of the island.
Split is another UNESCO World Heritage city and is just 30 km away and a visit to the 1700 year old Diocletian's Palace is highly recommended.
For a quieter holiday come in May/June or September/October.
Čiovo is a great base from which to visit other places like the beautiful Krka National Park and Skradin. And 40 mins north along the beautiful coast road north lies Primosten, a beautiful ancient 'island' town almost entirely surrounded by water.
