About this property
Luxury Farmhouse with Stowe Views
Nestled among working dairy farms, this restored 1812 farmhouse features sweeping views of the Green Mountains and sleeps 12 comfortably. 6 miles from Stowe and 12 miles to the best skiing in the East. Morrisville amenities are just 4 miles away. Close to world class hiking, mountain biking and VAST trail system.
Road to the property is plowed but unpaved and may require 4WD in snow and mud seasons.
Built in 1812, this farmhouse sits on 10 acres of farmland. The home boasts 5 bedrooms plus a private family room with a couch that converts to two twin beds.
The primary bedroom located on the main floor has an ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. The other bedrooms on the second floor share two full baths. One with a tub/shower and one with a walk in shower.
Main floor has a half bath off of the mudroom.
Air conditioning is provided in the living room, primary bedroom and two of the upstairs bedrooms (king and twin). The two queen rooms are provisioned with fans.
Upstairs family room doubles as a dedicated work space and TV room supplied with a wifi enabled smart TV. Features door for privacy.
Full kitchen includes stove/oven, refrigerator, freezer, double sink, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. Plenty of dishes and cooking essentials are provided.
This house was built in 1812 and is a remarkably well-preserved example of a Greek revival farmhouse. It has been lovingly remodeled and modernized over the years, but retains some of the uniqueness and quirks of a 200 year-old building. Guests can expect floors that are uneven and creaky in places and some original doors and hardware. One of the two staircases is steeper than typical in modern construction.
Home has a dedicated mud room with plenty of storage for hiking and skiing gear. Washer and dryer are provided in a dedicated laundry room. Outdoor furniture for summer guests includes a propane grill, dining table and chairs and Adirondack chairs.
Garage parking for one car is available.
Pets considered on an individual basis with a non-refundable pet fee.
FIREPLACE IS CURRENTLY INOPERABLE.
