We loved our stay & enjoyed the old-world charm at this historic property. The home is just minutes from the heart of downtown Bristol, with outstanding restaurants and all the convenient stores & shops you could ask for. Check-in was seemless, with exceptional host “John & Mel”.
Very charming house. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. This house will become a regular for us as we have family at South Holston Lake.
Very charming old home in very nice condition. Plenty of room for our large group. It felt as if this were a newer venture into VRBO as there were a few amenities that would have been nice to have. The amenities listing was accurate, however. Very convenient for our group to access the Bristol Motor Speedway and get back. We would stay again.
I’m a Bristol local, born in the 70s, and after a 30-year career in corporate America, I transitioned into my true passion: Real Estate. Today, I focus on growing our local business and mentoring others in the industry to help them build their own brands. My life is rooted in family—I share my home with my wife and our two dogs, Alcey and Atticus. When we aren't working or enjoying the outdoors, we are soaking up every minute with our grown children and grandchildren.
As a host, I combine my corporate background with a personal touch to provide a seamless, professional experience. I love sharing the hidden gems of the Twin Cities with visitors. To make sure your trip starts on a high note, I always leave a small local gift so you can take a piece of Bristol home with you.
Why they chose this property
As a Bristol native and real estate professional, I’ve always been drawn to the historic 'Holston Ave Historical' district. I chose this specific spot because it offers a grand, old-world feel while being just three blocks from the energy of State Street and the Bristol Casino. What I enjoy most is the 'walkability'—you can stroll to Blackbird Bakery for coffee or Southern Craft for BBQ, yet return to a quiet, elevated street that feels like a private escape from the downtown bustle.
What makes this property unique
The Manor is a piece of Bristol history—a grand 1800s estate built with local brick and soaring ceilings that you simply don’t find in modern builds. What truly sets it apart is its scale; it features massive wrap-around porches and formal parlor rooms that are perfect for family reunions or groups who want to feel the 'Grandeur of the South.' Despite its vintage roots, I’ve used my corporate background to ensure it functions with 21st-century precision—think seamless mesh Wi-Fi, a fully-appointed chef’s kitchen, and a professional level of cleanliness that honors its historic charm.
