The house had a garage with an opener without a remote making it a hassle to use the garage when you got back. Also, you had to push the inside opener twice for it to work. The first push opened the door 2" and the second push closed and reopened the door fully. The lighting inside the house was inadequate. The furniture was uncomfortable. Lots of station options on the TV but none to get national news shows- Newsmax, Fox News, etc. The neighbor's dog had a 6AM wake up call every morning. The backyard was fairly large which was nice. The host was nice but we won't be renting again.
We were so impressed with the cleanliness of this property. It was immaculate. The bed in the master was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could wish for. Plus the backyard was a birders’ delight!

Peaceful & Calming
Christine and I can't THANK YOU enough for having us stay in your beautiful home. The descriptors you use, spiritual, meditative, sanctuary, are truly accurate. Our time was so short but we have wonderful memories of Sedona that we will cherish until our next visit! Thank you!

Lovely and peaceful
I stayed in this home for four nights with my husband and kids. It was a wonderful experience. The fenced in back yard was great for our kids and us to start out our day as well as to end each day. The neighborhood is peaceful and very close to ammenities. It's surrounded by beautiful rock mountain Sedona scenery. The house provided everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The location of the home was perfect for us, as it is only about a 15 minute drive to downtown Sedona. And a beautiful drive at that! I wouldn't want to stay right downtown because I think it would be a bit busy at times.
Maggie was very pleasant to communicate withand deal with. She was very attentive, positive and receptive to our needs and I never had to wait long for replies.
I would recommend this house to friends.

Peaceful, charming home in view of the tops of the towering Red Rocks
Clean, comfortable, well appointed home about 6 miles outside the hustle and bustle of town.
We loved the backyard - beautiful shade trees and a network of natural walkways and bridges to mimic the paths and trails through the Red Rocks.
We enjoyed conversation and our morning coffee in the yard each day before the summer heat drove us inside to prepare for the day's excursions.
The home had possibly the best stocked kitchen in any VRBO we have ever rented with two 4/5 cup coffee makers (perfect to satisfy both bold and decaf drinkers) as well as another large coffeemaker. Every possible kitchen appliance, pot, pan, and tool was readily available. The bedrooms each had spacious walk-in closets with more than ample supplies of good quality hangers.
We very much enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and coming "home" after each day's adventures. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and well-stocked with towels, and "extras" such as Netflix offered late night options.
The only "critters" who tried to holiday with us were some ants in outdoor areas. Feral cats, javelinas, and other critters must have been vacationing elsewhere - which was fine with us! Birds, however, chirped happily in the trees and visited the bird-feeders adding to the beauty and tranquility of the outdoors.
We would highly recommend this vacation home, appreciated Maggie coming to our rescue when the glass sliding door locked behind us on our final day, and would return in a heartbeat on a future visit to Sedona.
Thank you, Maggie, for helping to make our vacation memorable, comfortable, and feel like home away from home.

What's lovely review! We try hard to make our home a place of refuge and comfort. Thanks so much! Maggie
The house was comfortable and convenient to hiking, shopping and other activities.
Great place for us. We wanted quiet and convenient access to Sedona and environs and we got that. Sleeping was comfortable.
We were out most of every day at at this time of year we did not do much in the great looking back yard, except some grilling and occasional afternoon cocktails after hiking.
The recreational area pass provided was convenient and the guide book was helpful. All services were just fine, including on site laundry. this was a location we would like to return to.
Staying in casa verde while in Sedona was a very god choice, the property is more than well equipped for people that enjoys cooking like myself. House is kept in a very neat condition it has a nice yard to meditate and in general a great place to stay. Owner is super responsive. Thank you Maggie for making our stay at your place so smooth.
The house was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The yard is wonderful, beautiful, quiet and has great views. We would definitely stay there again!
Casa Verde in Oak Creek Village is a clean, comfortable, and welcoming retreat close to Sedona, but far enough away to be even more relaxed. Everything is close by: essential shopping, hiking and biking trails, and quiet walking paths. Our host, Maggie, couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. She was "there" when we needed her, but never intruded. She was the perfect host. We are looking forward to making another visit and the Casa Verde will definitely be in our plans.
This is a great place to stay. The house is totally stocked and makes you feel like home. The back yard is beautiful and quiet. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. The owner has left instructions in every room in case you can’t figure out how to turn something on. It’s a gem!
We really enjoyed our time here at this house. Very clean with everything you need. Quieter part of town, but still easily walkable to restaurants, etc. in the Village of Oak Creek. Great hiking and mountain bike trails right from the house. We would definitely stay again.
A Five-star Property Inside and Out; and a Great Host
Five Stars: The property is in a quiet, mature residential neighborhood in a small town. Yet, you are within walking distance to at least a dozen restaurants, several golf courses, galleries, convenience stores and a grocery store. Also the Bell Rock Hike Trailhead is also within walking distance!!
The back yard is superbly landscaped with a giant center-piece tree and several chairs/benches. A great space to contemplate, meditate or vegetate.
The house is well appointed with new appliances and well-functioning fixtures. Not only everything worked, but everything was fresh and clean.
The host (Maggie) is very courteous, accommodating, caring and responsive.
You are only about 15 minutes from Sedona but you are well isolated from the tourist-y noise that Sedona tends to have.
Thank you, Maggie.
Great location! Went on walk through the neighborhood because the views are so amazing! The house is well organized and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are nice. Get the master! The shower is an upgrade. We spent most of our time at the house in the backyard. There are many great restaurants close like Corner Table, Cucina Rustica, and Mariposa. Sedona is only a 15 minute scenic drive away. Also, West Fork of Oak Creek trail is a lot of fun! Only about 30 min away and it’s not too tough. Expect to get wet, as there are a dozen water crossings. There are also 3 golf courses within a 7 minute drive, including one across the street. I didn’t bring my clubs this time so I can’t attest to the quality, but they looked beautiful! Bearizona is an hour away from the house and the Grand Canyon is another hour from there. It makes a great day trip. Pro tip: the wings at Yippee Ei O Steakhouse are awesome! If you’re going home to Phoenix or Tucson, then do what we did and wake up early on your last day and take the scenic route by going to Jerome (an hour drive) to walk the hilly ghost town. Then take another hour drive through Prescott National Forest to historic Prescott and go to lunch at Palace Restaurant and Saloon. Then you have a 1.5-2 hour drive back to Phoenix area or a 3-3.5 hour to Tucson. We will be back! Margaret is an amazing host!
My sister, my friend and I had a wonderful stay here. Just what we needed to unwind and relax. Everything was just as advertised. Would definitely recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Maggie Cunningham
We purchased this home in 2010 as both a vacation home and an important asset to our lives. We come to the Village about 3 times a year to enjoy our home and make sure it is always in perfect condition for our guests. We are both Engineering professionals living in Orange County California and we love Arizona hospitality so very much!
Why they chose this property
We wanted a real home. Not a resort condo or an expensive mansion. Just a down-to-earth residential property with character. Our neighbors are awesome and we always have so much fun.
What makes this property unique
Our property has a very unique backyard landscape that was originally a custom designed by previous owners. We turned it into a desert theme adding stone and pebble accents. The very large, 70 year old mulberry tree offers lots of shading during summer. The birch trees on our side property are stunning yellow in the Autumn. Several months of the year, the monsoon weather in the afternoons cool the property and really bring out the spiritual, fresh scented side of Arizona.
