Close to Heavenly, Mt Rose, Tahoe and Hope Valley. Fishing, skiing, trails and wildlife galore… and your own private sledding hill in the winter when there is snow. Relax and enjoy 4 seasons of serenity, peace and wildlife with many sitting areas to enjoy outside or inside.
Washoe Lake is a mile a way
Home Baked Bread and coffee is provided in the morning.Lunches for your outdoor adventure can be arranged as well as a home cooked meal when you return from your adventure. (additional fee upon request) Or cook in the gourmet kitchen that includes every pot,pan,spice or gadget you desire.Large Hot Tub for viewing the stars. Gorgeous Huge Windows to watch the snow & wildlife The woodstove is a cozy way to warm your toes and heart. You have access to the entire home except the Master Suite & Bathroom. The master suite has a barn door and is locked. Host may or may not be onsite in the master suite. The master suite has a separate entrance. Host may also be working on the outside of the property or the garage.

The house is lovely with vaulted ceilings and large windows. Plenty of comfortable seating. Nice outdoor spaces. Rooms are very comfortable. Really, everything about this place is relaxing and cozy. Highly recommend!

Dawnda, the hostess was amazing, and super friendly!! The house is very spacious, and is decorated so stinkin cute! She had great amenities inside and outside the house. We will most certainly be back, as we visit family here every year! The pictures don’t do it justice, it is beautiful!

Super cozy

Everything about it was charming and cozy! Huge living room/dining/kitchen area. Host was very friendly and accommodating with our late arrival time. She had a fire going for us when we arrived and was willing to make another for us the next day!Like it says in the listing, the 2nd bedroom with the bunk bed is more suited for small children rather than adults - but we pulled out the foldable cot and everything worked out. Location is 10 minutes away from an alpaca farm!

Our family had the most amazing stay at this verbo, my older son still talk about how he misses this house and how beautiful and spacious and peaceful it was. My husband loved the fact it was a "slab on grade". Myself personally loved the decor and art aswell as the organization. The host was very kind hearted respectful and helpful. She is honestly and overal a good super host giving a great experience. If you love nature and fresh baked delicious bread and fresh eggs you will enjoy this property. If you have little ones i would move some stuff around, yet all in all it is a wonderful verbo and mostly definitely a place i would love to stay again.

Our stay at Dawnda's home was absolutely perfect! Dawnda, the host, was outstanding—so kind, thoughtful, and courteous. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.The house itself was stunning—spacious and beautifully decorated with Dawnda's special artistic touch. Every detail added charm and character, making the space feel both elegant and inviting. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home—so cozy, peaceful, and relaxing.This was truly one of the best vacation rentals we've experienced, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience, was greeted by the host and received a quick tour. Dawnda's home is absolutely beautiful and she makes it feel super cozy for your arrival. The space was perfect and Dawnda was very attentive to our questions. Location was close to stores, she was anble to make recommendations, and there was enough space to accommodate all guests. There was deer every morning and beautiful views from the late windows and deck. Dawnda had blankets available for the chilly weather and added the perfect touch during our stay with kids. My family will definitely be returning, glad we found such an amazing place!

Good woods experience

We love everything except bed size & heater in second bedroom. the bed could fit only for two small kids. So I slept on couch for 3 nights. My wife & 12yr daughter shared one bed and my teenage son 15yr used the other bed. The 4 star rating is because of this reason otherwise it's 5 star.

Overall a pleasant stay, but a couple of areas for improvement:While I appreciated the host’s hospitality and the comfortable environment, there are a few aspects that could enhance the experience for future guests.First, there was no option to securely lock all of the doors when leaving the property or staying overnight. I understand that the host feels safe in the neighborhood and has a good rapport with neighbors, but as a visitor unfamiliar with the area, having the option to fully lock the doors would have provided added peace of mind.Secondly, the washer was unfortunately out of order during my stay. I completely understand that occasional maintenance issues are unavoidable; however, a heads-up about the temporary issue ahead of time would have been helpful in adjusting plans or expectations accordingly.With small adjustments like these, the stay could be even more enjoyable for future guests
