We are happy to be able to share our second home with you. Our property is beautiful but our first priority is your health and safety. That is why we have only one person who is entirely in charge of your stay. Rosa will ensure the home is spotless and disinfected, she will greet you when you arrive (with proper social distancing of course) and be there if you have any questions or concerns. And we allow at least two days between rentals to give lots of time to clean and ensure a safe environment for you and your family.

We purchased this home in 2010 for it's great bones and wonderful location. We spent a full year renovating it inside and out and have included many of the best features we have found in our years of travel. Located high in the La Quinta Cove on a 1/4 acre double corner lot you will enjoy spectacular views of the Santa Rosa Mountains that were once only seen by movie stars that vacationed here. Now the 'Cove' is home to artists, musicians, families and some tourists, with a genuine feeling of community but you can still see the stars in the clear night air.

From the moment you walk through the front gate you instantly realize you have entered your own private retreat. The 400' perimeter wall affords complete privacy to enjoy the lush landscaping and the tranquility that our property offers..... green grass, fruit trees, hummingbirds and flowers. The walkway pavers lead you to the porticoed front entrance and to the large covered patio but the main focus is the 15' by 40' heated saltwater pool and spa ideal for doing laps or just for having fun in. You can enjoy the sound of the birds or the peaceful sound of water trickling from the raised spa since all the pool equipment is remote located. Grill your favorite meal on the commercial BBQ or just cozy up to the auto-lighting gas fire pit on a cool evening. You will find that most of your meals can be eaten under the alumawood covered patio with comfortable furniture, cooling misters and oh, those amazing mountain views. The combination of the high cove location and the high wall means that the winds that the valley is known for are rarely a concern here. We have made the property very accessible with smooth pavers outside, 20” floors tiles inside and no steps anywhere to allow easy and secure walking.

Inside, the 1870 sq ft house has been designed as an open plan but double doors allow you to create as much privacy as you wish. The colour scheme is vibrant yet tranquil, the large patio doors bring the outdoors inside. It is truly a house for entertaining with a large main patio off both the living room and master suite. We have decorated the house in a contemporary manner offering comfort for our guests. The living room features leather furniture, a stand up wet bar, wood burning fireplace, and an internet enabled 55” flat screen TV with a blu-ray home theater system. Choose from over 200 DVD movies or pick something from the internet. Of course the house has super fast WiFi but there are also three other internet connected TVs and three internet radios so your choices are unlimited. Free long distance calling to the US and Canada makes keeping in touch a breeze.


For your cooking enjoyment, the kitchen is big and bright and airy and is well equipped with tools and appliances. Enjoy a snack at the counter bar, eat a meal in the beautifully bright eating nook as you contemplate the mountains through the large windows looking out onto the main garden. A Kuerig coffeemaker is provided for great coffee in an instant. For those must-do chores there is a commercial quality washer and dryer right beside the kitchen in the attached two car garage to keep it quiet and out of sight. For entertaining the dining room is only a few steps off the kitchen, overlooking the living room, and can seat 6 people.

The large master suite comes complete with kingsize bed, ensuite, walk-in closet, patio doors onto the patio and pool, fingertip pool/spa/firepit controls, flat screen TV with PVR, internet radio. Or enjoy the junior suite with queensize bed, ensuite, adjoining sitting room with a leather sofa, flat screen internet enabled TV with built in blu-ray player, internet radio and patio doors onto its own private patio and garden with fruit trees and still more mountain views. The third bedroom is ready with twin beds, flatscreen TV with built-in DVD player and its bathroom next door.

We'd like to invite you into our second home. Come for the great location with privacy, security and perfect weather. Spend the days at a local event, golfing, shopping or just reading and tanning by the pool. Eat at great local restaurants, cook up a storm on the BBQ or visit with friends and family while cooking your favorite dinner meal.
