About Kathy Myrick
We have owned our property and the 32 acres surrounding us since 1948. The old Greer road, built during horse and buggy times runs through our property. A truly family business--designed & built and managed by the Myrick's for family fun!
Kathy Myrick purchased this Cabin in 1996
Why Kathy Myrick chose Greer
If you are looking for an 'out in the woods' experience with the comforts of home, look no further! Our 4 cabins are located in the woods & surrounded by many acres of forest--away from the rat race yet only a few minutes into the village for activities or restaurants!
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabins are a short walk to the 3 Greer Lakes for fishing! Great for reunions, business, church, and school group functions with 4 cabins spread over 2 acres with many acres of forest surrounding them. Make incredible memories around campfires, playing volleyball and horseshoes, walk the dog over to the Greer Lakes & catch a couple trout or crawdads. :) One of my favorite pictures, when my children were little, is when they peeked out from a mini "cave" in the big boulders a short walk up the ridge behind our cabins! Be sure to catch a view of the Greer Lakes while there. Catch the aspens change colors in the fall! Sunrise Ski Park Resort is 15 minutes away for downhill skiing & just down the road are trails for cross country skiing! Or just stay on site & build a snowman in the winter or have snowball fight & sled on our hill.

This is a great spot and I highly recommend staying here. The best part was the owner and manager being so responsive. We needed an extra blanket and they responded immediately. As with all stays (including hotels) sometimes there are issues but if the owner can resolve them quickly then all is good! We hope to be back soon! We went for skiing (so close!) but I would also go at any time of the year. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!
Great Cabin in Greer
The cabin is secluded, spacious, woodsy and authentic. If you want to hang out in a cabin, build forts in the woods, hike, play horseshoes, have a campfire and roast hot-dogs and marshmallows, play football, have morning coffee on a beautiful patio, sit by a pellet stove at night, soak in a jetted tub, spend time with your family and drift off to sleep to the sounds of elk, this is your place.
great cabin with enough privacy to enjoy yourself. Kathy the owner is very responsive to any requests or comments. Cabin was clean with plenty of towels. We had a sick kid with us so really appreciated the washer and dryer available for use. also having access to a television with Netflix helped since we ended up spending more time indoors than we had thought we would.
I will caution you in that the stairs to the second floor are a bit steep, we needed to keep the youngest grandson from exploring too much for fear he could hurt himself, we knew to expect the stairs from the photos and when I reserved the cabin. Comfy beds, nice size fridge, dining table for 6, foosball table provided a lot of fun.
We will be returning.
Had a great time spending time with family at this beautiful cabin. Great amenities and fun things to do just around the cabin (horseshoes, volleyball, campfire, football....) We will definitely be back!
Great cabin with plenty of room! Well maintained, would stay there again.
Greer is one of the coolest places in the state during the hot desert summer months! At 8500 ft elevation the Greer valley is nestled in beautiful pines. Easy walking distance to the 3 trout stocked Greer lakes or a short drive to numerous rivers, lakes & streams. Hiking, horseback riding are nearby as well. If you are just looking to relax, sit outside on the porch or picnic table & play horseshoes, or volleyball & sit by the campfire & make smores during the evening!
