About the host
Hosted by Joe Bowes

After spending years in Chicago, we relocated to Nashville in mid-2024 with the intent of having greater access to outdoor activities. After visiting Western North Carolina multiple times, we continued to be drawn to the area and were lucky enough to find a cabin home we love. One of our favorite things about the mountain cabin is waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee while the sun comes up!
We spend a lot of time searching for off-the-beaten path recommendations, supporting local businesses and would never recommend something that we don't personally enjoy ourselves. Sharing these recommendation with others is something we particularly enjoy about being a host and want others to fall in love with the area as much as we have. The perfect cabin day for us would probably include morning coffee/tea on the porch, a hearty breakfast, a peaceful hike and a rewarding beer at a local brewery.
Additionally, we often travel with our corgi and are very familiar with the blessings and challenges of travelling with your four-legged friend. To the best of our ability, we try to find fun recommendations for our pup as well.
