Absolutely one of the best stays! The owners were so sweet and thoughtful! The views were amazing and the time spent with friends there will never be forgotten!!! 10 out of 10!
The host was welcoming without being intrusive, the cabin was beautiful. I hope to stay again in summer or spring when it is all green and blooming! Wonderful stay and wonderful, courteous host.
The host was great and the house was beautiful. Great views and location- secluded yet close enough to attractions to venture out for the day. Bedrooms on each floor made it possible to have our own private spaces while being together. Clean, spacious and cozy!
A very nice place. I would recommend it to anyone especially with the family going looking a nice house to rest with a very nice view. Its perfect all i can say.
The Cabin was very well stocked, and this host provided a lot of information about the space and all amenities. It was very clean, and has a spectacular view!
9 of us stayed for a bachelor trip for a few nights and man it was a really great cabin. Views were great, cabin was clean and well stocked with more than a typical rental would have, and the whole process was really smooth.
We enjoyed our time here. The home had beautiful views, and the amenities (games, pool, and foosball) kept us entertained when we weren't checking out the local sites. I would stay here again.
This is truly a mountain top gem! We felt right at home the minute we walked in to this beautiful house. It is so clean, cozy and has everything you could possibly need. We especially loved the fire pit, the pool table and just sitting on the porch enjoying the view. Definitely would stay here again!
The property is beautiful and well maintained. The view is spectacular. Located between the 2 golf courses we played and water adventure just up the highway.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need—plenty of cookware, storage containers, zip-top bags, foil, seasonings, and coffee. The added touches like Q-tips, soap, shampoo, firewood, and other essentials were truly appreciated. The host was wonderful with open communication and quick response times.
The cabin was wonderful, the host is super responsive. Amazing views, loved the privacy of this cabin. We will be back again! Close to a lot of little towns. Slyva, Waynesville, Cherokee, Bryson.
Pictures definitely don't do justice to this lovely cabin. The views are amazing and the cabin has everything my family needed for a short getaway. 10/10 we will rent again in the near future.
Property was just as listed, very spacious with a spectacular view. Getting to the location was a on a narrow, curvy, steep gravel road. The place had a great game room, with pool table and foosball table and plenty of board games The kitchen was well equipped.
This is the most beautiful cabin with the most spectacular views of the mountains! The beds are comfortable, there is so much space and the host has thought of every detail. It snowed while we were here and I was feeling anxious about driving down the mountain in the early morning before the temperature warmed up. Before I could even reach out to the host, he messaged me offering a later check out time to ensure we felt safe when leaving. Close to Sylva, Cullowhee, Bryson City and Franklin. So much to see and do- we will definitely be back! Thank you Joe for an amazing weekend!
Short notice family vacation and by far the best place i “the husband” had booked my wife said. Clean and very accurate description with everything needed in the home. Family pool games are now a new tradition and for sure hope to be back.
My husband and I, as well as our adult kids and young grandkids, stayed here for 3 nights. The cabin is beautiful with an awesome view. Located on a large lot, plenty of parking and very secluded. Cabin has large areas to be together and lots of areas to relax alone if needed. We enjoyed a fire in the evening and kids loved making s’mores. We will definitely be returning soon.
Cabin is very well located and not far from Bryson City or Sylva. The host recommended several places for hiking around. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed very much how well equipped the kitchen is with all the necessary appliances to cook at of our meals. The mud room is very roomy with the washer and drier and awesome details for your furry pet if you bring one. Even that the cabin accepts pets, it was super clean and no hair or pet smell. The downstairs is a very nice place for entertainment and play games. All the bathrooms are well equipped with enough towels for everyone and even the shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash! The only downside was the Wi-Fi. While watching movie or show, it hang up and stayed buffering for a while. There is charcoal grill outside that we used once but we would had use it more if it was gas. We enjoyed very much our stay!
We’ve rented many cabins all over the mountains and this was one of our favorites. The ONLY negative was the road leading up to the cabin was steep - the last part especially. I’m not used to driving on roads like that. But, we made it up and down that road 3 times, so not too bad.Everything else was fantastic. Wish I owned a place like that - made me want to move to the mountains.
This cabin is absolutely gorgeous! It’s nestled in the mountains on this winding gravel road that gives you an amazing view that can be seen from both family rooms and kitchen. Beautiful! Beds were all comfortable (though the one on the middle floor was probably the most firmest of all the beds.) I do wish there was some blinds on the windows where the bunk beds are. That loft gets so bright so early and the sun shines right on the guests there. The game room was a huge hit! We cooked hotdogs and smores outside over the fire pit. Location was spot on. Close to Cherokee and Bryson City. We filled our days with visiting both locations since most everything we wanted to go to was within 30 minutes! We stayed in different cabins over the years and this one is by far our favorite. Truly couldn’t go any better if we tried. Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin!
Great stay! The provided logs was great, used the campfire two of the three nights we stayed. Came here for a golf trip, was convenient located near the two courses in the area. Not far from the Casino either. Would stay again!

About the host
Hosted by Joe Bowes
After spending years in Chicago, we relocated to Nashville in mid-2024 with the intent of having greater access to outdoor activities. After visiting Western North Carolina multiple times, we continued to be drawn to the area and were lucky enough to find a cabin home we love. One of our favorite things about the mountain cabin is waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee while the sun comes up!
We spend a lot of time searching for off-the-beaten path recommendations, supporting local businesses and would never recommend something that we don't personally enjoy ourselves. Sharing these recommendation with others is something we particularly enjoy about being a host and want others to fall in love with the area as much as we have. The perfect cabin day for us would probably include morning coffee/tea on the porch, a hearty breakfast, a peaceful hike and a rewarding beer at a local brewery.
Additionally, we often travel with our corgi and are very familiar with the blessings and challenges of travelling with your four-legged friend. To the best of our ability, we try to find fun recommendations for our pup as well.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood provides enough privacy to each resident, while still feeling like you're part of a community. The cabin is surrounded by forest, with great long-range mountain views.
What makes this property unique
We have an amazing view, with end-of road privacy. The game room in the basement is a bonus, too!
