Villa Rising Sun is a 6,200 sq. ft. Villa on the beach in Hopkins Belize. Your rental is the entire first floor with private entrances, 3 bedrooms, a queen sleeper in the family room, two baths, your own private palapa beach bar and dock. The perfect place for family and friends to experience the paradise of Hopkins Village in Belize.

Villa Rising Sun is located in the prestigious, safe resort district of Hopkins, Belize. The resort district is a lot quieter and offers a many of the finest bars and restaurants just a short beach walk away. Hopkins Village is less than a mile away.

Villa Rising Sun has achieved the Tourism Health & Safety Gold Standard certification from the Belize Tourism Board and Ministry of Health by implementing procedures to assure new health and safety standards.

Your dock with over-the-water hammock, swings, and seating is perfect for soaking up the sun, sun sets, fishing, manatee sightings, or cocktails.

Your 3 bedroom, two bath rental is beach level and boasts a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and a huge great room area for entertaining or relaxing. The great room also has a comfortable pullout queen size bed. It is equipped with everything you need for your vacation. Regular beach raking and housekeeping assure you can relax and enjoy your stay. We can even arrange a private cook to prepare your arrival dinner and serve you at your beach bar.

The Great Room has a huge mahogany dining room table, two tables for desk or board games, two comfy sofas and chairs for relaxing after a hard day at the beach or exploring. A large smart TV with IPTV with over 8000 channels includes many of your favorites from The States, Canada, and Mexico for all your favorite shows and sporting events. Netflix and other logins are provided as well for additional entertainment.

Open the door and step onto the beach. The property is landscaped with indigenous flora and fauna.

Enjoy your own private thatched beach bar with everything you need to have a great time and is a great spot out of the sun. With seating for fourteen, it’s a perfect place to party or enjoy your meals on the beach. Your private bar features a refrigerator/freezer, sink with filtered water, a fully functional bar. Nice speakers and a blue-tooth amp as well as an IPTV provide entertainment for the entire family.

I highly recommend Villa Rising Sun. Mark and Sabrina were both interested in everything we did, but also to make sure we had no needs or issues (which we didn’t). The listing is very accurate as the house. Very clean and well-located to Hopkins. We rented a golf cart and that was all you really need unless you want to venture further away.Great things about the place - the dock has a regular flow of manatee. We saw several. Also, the tarpon and yellow jacks at night are a blast to watch. Dean did a terrific job hooking us up with tours and we were really pleased with them (see Get To Know Belize Adventures). Dean was also there to make sure everything we needed was met.

Wonder Experience for the whole family

Every part of our stay was wonderful. We all plan on return. Mark, Sabrina and Dean made sure we had every we needed to focus on relaxation and exploring. Highly recommended for anyone looking to have beautiful scenery, privacy, and convenience. Excursions are must!! Shout out to Meds and Jeff for helping us make epic fishing memories.

We were met in the driveway by our gracious hosts and given a full tour of the property and house. Fresh fruit on the table, AC cranked, beach lapping on the shore outside. MmmmmmI caught fish off the dock, jammed at the beach bar with local talent WA-WA, and sipped the evenings away. Mark and neighbor Dean were very helpful with info and directions and arrangements and anything else we needed. Wonderful time. Rent a golf cart and cruise to local bars. Watch out for the speed bumps! Thank you Mark and Sabrina and Dean.

Reeds in Hopkins Belize!

Great 3 brm, 2 bath, nice beach and dock, with a great personal tiki bar and sound system! Owners and managers are great people. Ask for Shelly to do your cooking. Her food is amazing!

Great Stay!

We were a very last minute booking and Mark, Sabrina and Dean bent over backwards to make our stay easy, fun and comfortable. They are around when you need them but not at all overbearing. The house is super clean and comfortable with everything you need and more. We rented golf carts (arranged by dean and delivered within minutes) and it was so fun to cruise around. All of the tours they arranged were fabulous. Hopkins and Sitter River are so great. We’ll be back!

Had a great stay Late Dec 2017

We had a great stay with seven people in late December 2017. Mirko (the agent), Mark and Sabrina (the owners) were all great hosts and very accommodating. The place is as it looks in the pictures, beautiful! The house is in great condition and the grounds are well maintained. There are nice extras like plenty of beach towels, some floats and games. You can swim off the beach or dock, and walk down the beach to other resorts and restaurants.

Best Vacation Rental Ever!

My husband, two best friends and myself all stayed at the Villa Rising Sun for my husband and I's 5 year anniversary and I am so happy we were able to find this hidden jewel. Mark and Sabrina are the best hosts. The place itself was so roomy and clean. The property manager went OVER AND BEYOND to accommodate us and taught us all about the places to eat and things to do in town! If you are looking for an amazing vacation THIS IS IT! The Pictures don't even do justice!

We arrived at nighttime during our stay at the Villa Rising Sun and were immediately greeted by Mark. We were amazed at the location and accommodations during nighttime and were really looking forward to what daytime brought. The best way to describe waking up was that pictures do not do justice to how breathtaking this property is. On top of that, Mark and Sabrina could not have been more accommodating and full of information when it came to activities in the area. Hopkins is a special place that is a village family with everyone who's there. I truly do not believe we could have enjoyed Belize any more without staying at the Villa Rising Sun!

Vacation in Hopkins

Our stay at the Villa Rising Sun was excellent. Mark and Sabrina were such great host. Mirko was there whenever we needed anything. The house is fully stock with all cooking utensils and a lot of other things that made our visit special. They ordered and delivered us and assortment of vegetables, eggs, bacon and Ribeye steaks. When we wanted to go out there is a large assortment of restaurants to go and eat. The house was very clean and everything worked as advertised. We have been to Hopkins 8 times and this was the best house we have stayed in. There were no negatives and is was an overall excellent experience. I would recommend this house to anyone that has the need. You will not be disappointed.

Perfection in paradise

From booking until after we left, the amazing folks from Villa Rising Sun took care of us. Hands down the most connected, caring and considerate hosts I’ve run across. They’ve developed a VIP page that gives incredible, easily digestible info about the property, transportation, activities, and a whole array of other entertainment options. While there we dove, kayaked, biked, snorkeled, had wonderful meals, luxurious on site massages, and enjoyed every sunrise. We loved our first night out listening and dancing to Garifuna music at the local pizza joint. And eating at Maxim’s was everyone’s favorites. Who knew chicken could taste that good? Villa Rising Sun even arranged for the local yoga instructor to teach a great class outside of her normal schedule to accommodate us. The house itself was perfect for our group. Loved having indoor and outdoor dining options (with a well-equipped kitchen), our own palapa bar, and very comfortable AC and fans. Highly recommend laying down the blue pad in the dock net, listening to rolling waves and birdsong while watching the stars give way to the morning light. And do yourself a favor- order some stormcloud. Thanks Team Villa Rising Sun for helping create a perfect vacation! Already looking forward to our return.

Don't look further, book this location before someone else does

This is an incredibly spacious location, directly on the beach, full of extra amenities. Our family of five stayed and thoroughly enjoyed Villa Rising Sun. Outdoors you're directly on the beach. The family enjoyed the swinging and fishing on the dock. You can wade into the water for a good distance and there is marine life to enjoy snorkeling. The outdoor bar location is a unique feature which we used consistently whether it be for socializing, outdoor eating, a quick drink or shade. They also provide beach loungers, chairs and towels for your use. Inside you have a kitchen which is fully stocked with every cooking or baking need you might have. There is also a barbecue available to grill any fresh catch. The bedrooms are spacious with loads of drawer and closet space. Bathrooms are well stocked with toiletries and extra towels. The team managing Villa Rising Sun is phenomenal. Communication occurs early as they proactively reach out to help you plan your trip - excursions, transportation, food, etc. This communication also includes a letter of information to know about Hopkins, weather, packing recommendations. I found this extremely helpful. They remain in constant communication throughout your stay ensuring you have everything you need or to provide any recommendations if you ask. This villa is a gem. We absolutely plan to return and stay here again.

Standing ovation!

I try hard not to give properties a 5 star review -- knowing that I need to save the 5 stars for the truly exceptional places. But Villa Rising Sun has earned it. The property itself is as beautiful and amazing as it looks on line -- and then some. As beautiful and well-appointed as the house is, the beach bar in the back of the house is where we were happiest spending our time -- a well-equipped bar with a great sound system and spectacular beach view. But what made Villa Rising Sun truly worthy of a 5-star review, is the efforts that the homeowners (Mark and Sabrina, who live upstairs) and the property manager (Dean -- next door) went to to ensure that we had the vacation we wanted. I requested assistance arranging a surprise birthday dinner for my husband with a GariFUNa drummer and punta dancer. THEY CRUSHED IT and then some. Mark perfectly teed up the surprise arrival of the drummers and dancers and it turned into a spectacular party. But then again, we found that a party is likely to break out if Mark is present. Unforgettable birthday celebration with them letting us join in with the drumming and dancing and helped with the punta dancing skills --leaving my husband with sore hips for days from his efforts to get the butt-wiggle right. We also signed up for the Cook and Catch fishing trip. which was a lot of fun. We were unable to get to the island where the cooking was to take place but, no problem -- Mark invited them to cook the fish at Villa Rising Sun. The food (cooked by Medal, our fishing guide) reflected his extensive culinary experience and would have been at home on any plate in the finest restaurants around. Yuri (our Russian boat captain) and Blain (who we kept busy supplying us with drinks on the boat) joined us. Mark showed up and another party broke out with Sabrina and Dean joining us. It was raining rum and Beliken and vodka and we had lots of laughs while getting to know some wonderful people. Our golf cart ran out of gas on our way to breakfast but fortunately they had provided us with a phone to contact them with any issues. Dean arrived with a gas can within minutes. We owe Hopkins an apology. We had not been to Hopkins before and wanted to spend a few days checking it out. We had so much fun at Villa Rising Sun that we sort of neglected Hopkins. We intend to make up for that on our next trip to Belize, and we certainly intend to stay at Villa Rising Sun again.

SLICE OF PARADISE.This was an absolutely perfect stay at Villa Rising Sun. Mark and Sabrina are great hosts and a big shout out to Dean for his expert concierge services. All three of them would check in from time to time to make sure that we had everything we needed. The house is large, comfortable and very clean. The private tiki bar with a sound system was a great place to hang out. We loved being right on the beach and spent a lot of time in the gorgeous water. In the evening, it was fun to watch the fish from the edge of the dock. Shelly cooked an amazing lobster tail dinner, and we also had massages at the house, which both were highlights of the trip. The location of the house is perfect. It is close to so many good restaurants. Hopkins is a special place. I am looking forward to returning to Villa Rising Sun.

Was there for a week and could not have picked a better place to stay. From the time we arrived and until the time we left it was like being at a resort where "everyone knows your name". I appreciate that the owners are close by but never intrusive, only checking on us periodically to see if there is anything they can do to make us feel comfortable. We took advantage of having them pick up some supplies for us as I knew we would be tired and hungry after traveling. Clean drinking water always available at the house, AC worked great and the kitchen is fully stocked. GET THE CINNAMON BREAD to make French toast in the morning, so good, like eating a Cinnabon. The maintenance person Jose kept the beach clean for us as there was quite a bit of kelp due to storms recently. We rented a car and took the scenic route from the Airport and was about 2.5 hours and then going back, did the Coastal Highway which was easy, about 2 hours. Having a car was nice when driving around the town. The excursions we did Snorkeling, Horseback riding, Ziplining, Cave Tubing were all fabulous. We also had a local person cook us dinner, and Shelly was amazing! We loved the lobster tails and BBQ chicken and they cook and cleaned up for us. Well worth it! We will be back as Belize is wonderful and such nice people at all the restaurants, ice cream shops and local stores that we went to. Most of all the owners Mark and Sabrina are wonderful, and Dean has your drinks ready when you are!

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing time at the Villa Rising Sun! There were 7 of us staying. The Villa is clean, spacious and comfortable. Mark, Sabrina, Dean and Blaine were all terrifically kind, helpful and hospitable. They helped us organize the best adventures and food, including flagging down the local bread and veggie vendors and arranging delivery of a fabulous birthday cake. We all really loved swimming at the dock and hanging out at the beach bar. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Villa crew!

Best time ever! Book now!

My family decided on Belize for our vacation and we wanted to pick something epic as our oldest daughter was about to go away to college in the fall. Villa Rising Sun was AMAZING and Dean did an spectacula job ensuring that our time in Belize was as special as possible. Mark and Sabrina were also great as they went shopping for us ahead of time and were checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We booked almost everything that we could from a service and adventure perspective and took the recommendations of locals and the hosts. Shelley came into the villa and cooked for us 3 different nights and her food was amazing and she was born to cook :-) We also booked a golf cart for the week which I highly recommend because the stores and restaurants in town are great. We recommend Driftwood, Nice Cream, and the Italian place (name?) as they all had great food and service (be patient as food comes out on its own time). With regard to adventures we highly recommend the cook your catch and the waterfall adventure. Cook your catch was our favorite and we tried to book it a second time because we had so much fun. The coral reef on cook your catch and Bread and Butter Island were the highlights of the trip. We also did the monkey tour which was cool as we saw monkeys, crocodiles, and lots of other wildlife. In short, all of the services and adventures were fantastic! I am out of characters- so in summary, the dock, outside bar, and hosts at villa made the trip :-)

Simply Amazing

Our week stay at Villa Rising Sun was perfect for our family of five. Our two kids shared a room and my sister had her own room set off towards the back of the house. The Villa Rising Sun team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The home and grounds were clean and well cared for. I loved that cleaners were brought in midway through our week stay. An itinerary with our planned excursions and meal suggestions was provided by the management team. This along with the Villa Rising Sun guest website recommendations made it easier to choose restaurants and activities. We enjoyed most of our time outside at the bar watching the kids play in the ocean. The bar is equipped with an ice maker, wash sink, Bluetooth speaker system, and more. We enjoyed watching the marine life, including two manatees, off the well lite dock at night. We let the management team know what type of excursions we were looking at and they helped us coordinate them. It was so nice to be picked up and dropped off at the Villa for both of our excursions. The golf cart we rented for a day was also dropped to our door and pick up the next day. We look forward to returning one day!

Warm and Wonderful

Our days at Villa Rising Sun were truly restful, magical and fun. Mark, Sabrina and Dean made themselves available to answer questions, make suggestions and provide information about the community, sharing their passion and love for their adopted home. The accommodations are spacious and clean with plenty of room for large groups (our party of six consisted of one couple, two mothers/mothers-in-laws, and two friends), with ample space for a variety of interests and activities. The Caribbean Sea is in the backyard, offering around-the-clock access to swimming, floating, or just listening to the waves wash ashore. We all hope to return very soon and will recommend VRS to our families and friends.
