The house and host were both quite accommodating. The neighborhood was not so much, but in our case all we did was sleep there so it wasn’t an issue. The host was quite gracious when I spoke to her on the phone and there was plenty of off street parking in the back.
Overall I really loved the house. It was very cozy and I loved that there was enough space for me and my 3 boys to spread out. TVs in every room was great so they could watch what they wanted and no one was fighting over the TVs. The game room is a nice touch and they definitely enjoyed it. The house is within 10mins of all of Louisville attractions. Just make sure you rent a car. Grocery store is less than 8mins away so it was great to be able to run out and get a few things. Communication was easy with Shannon, the host. She was great. Very understanding and fair. I gave this place a 4 star. The only reason why it didn’t get a 5 this time is because of the neighborhood. I was in town for my daughter’s volleyball tournament and because I was with my boys I wanted more space than a hotel room. However, for someone coming in out of town, the neighborhood was a bit surprising to me. It was our first time in Louisville so was not sure what to expect. It’s just a little run down, but Shannon did tell me that it’s on the way to getting a make over and you can see that process happening around…but it will take time. Though it looked unfavorable, it was safe. We had a great time in Louisville and when I go back, I will be checking to see if this listing is available to stay in. Thank you Shannon for being such a wonderful host and for allowing us to stay at your place! We’ll be back for sure!!
