About this property

Pumula Surf Camp, Family Run Surf Camp And Surf School 300m Walk To The Beach

Our Rustic Surf House has 3 bedrooms, 1 private double, 1 family room and 1 dorm, that sleeps 4. The Surf House is a short 300m walk to the stunning Pumula Beach, great for learning to surf, surfing, fishing, diving, swimming and much more. Learn to surf with us and our ISA, internationally trained surf instructors, take some yoga classes on our yoga deck overlooking the forest, with the various bird calls to soothe you, take a sup tour on our stunning estuaries, or just come and hang out and chill. The Surf House is surrounded by natural indigenous bush, hear the birds calls, see the elusive bush buck and porcupines. We share the property with a pack of friendly dogs, cats, chickens, 2 wild and free kids and some very cute indigenous wild life, like the common vervet monkey, porcupines, tons of birds, hear the fish eagles call and see them soar, hear the call of the wild bushbuck and say hi to them when they come visit right outside the property. Requirements: board shorts, swimsuits, sunscreen, hmm and not much more, sunshine and warm water all year round. Oh and you must love dogs :-)

We are a family run establishment, owned and run by my hubby (Justin) and me (Hayley). Justin is part of the local legendary surfing family, he grew up surfing these waters, he is an ex South African pro surfer and simply loves the ocean, his knowledge of the ocean is incredible. Its been a dream of ours for many years to set up this business and we now finally get to enjoy it with our two gorgeous daughters (Ella and Zoe) We are a beach loving family. I studied in the hospitality industry, and have worked in hotels and owned a restaurant, I am passionate about food and healthy eating, we grow our own organic veg to provide scrumptious meals for our lovely guests. We love nature and are lucky enough to be surrounded by it, we share our property with a pack of friendly dogs, some cats, a few chickens, wild and free kids and some stunning bird life, hear the fish eagles call and see them soar, the elusive bush buck pays us visits on a daily basis, their barking is amazing to hear. We love sharing our surf house with people and getting to know them, so come be a part of our family

Why they chose this property

We searched for a property in this area for years as we both grew up here, this particular property we loved as soon as we found it, surrounded by bush, stunning views, peaceful, and filled with abundant wildlife, all of this and still just a short walk to the stunning Pumula Beach. We love Pumula village as it has a great sense of community, we are super blessed to have found this property

What makes this property unique

We love our property especially the stunning views over the indigenous forest and the mangrove forest, its definitely what made us fall in love with the property. The fact that the property needed some work was a plus for us as we wanted to add our own personal stamp, which we have done and still continue to do. We love sitting on our massive deck over a sundowner, sharing stories with our guest. We also love the fact that the land is huge so we have plenty of space. And of course we just love our yoga deck over looking the forest
