Great Country Get-Away

We had a very quiet and relaxing stay at the Byrd’s Nest. The apartment was lovely and very spacious. We walked in and saw an anniversary cake awaiting us. What a thoughtful surprise! We also enjoyed a delicious jar of honey. The hospitality extended to us by Marty and James went above and beyond. Would definitely stay here again!

Fun on the farm!

If you want to enjoy a getaway with a farm atmoshere, this is the place. Marty & James will make you feel right at home, & are very accommodating hosts. The property is as described in the pics. Have fun exploring their property & viewing/petting their array of barnyard companions!

We love music, fishing, & gardening. Our property is a large hay field. We grew tomatoes, peanuts, cucumbers, peppers, basil, mint, broccoli, fennel, squash and more! We added honey bees and expect to harvest honey soon. We have Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Peacocks, Quail, Ducks, & Country Dogs.

If you would like to escape the hustle & bustle of the city come visit our farm in Shiner. We offer the peace & tranquility. There are lots of other small country towns surrounding the area all with appeal of country living.

What makes this property unique

From our wrap around porches there is always a view! If you are an early bird you can watch the deer gather at their feeder while sipping on your fresh brewed coffee. Everything is better in the country.
