Pristine two story beach front home. Direct access to the Atlantic Ocean just fifty feet from the back door. Amazing ocean and riverfront views facing east and west to enjoy both Florida sunsets and sunrises!

Vero Beach is known as the gateway to the tropics. Absent are the high rises. This area is strictly residential. The fishing is known as some of the best in Florida. Our home is close to nature parks. We have a very active area for Giant Sea Turtle nesting. During certain times of the year, you may have the opportunity to see one. Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge is nearby and offers Sea Turtle walking tours. To witness these Gentle Giants directly on the beach lay their eggs, crawl slowly back to the ocean is an extraordinary experience! This occurs in June and July. There are extremely active turtle nesting sites on the beach directly adjoining the home.

The house is a 3000 square foot two story home. The 2nd floor kitchen faces the inter-coastal waterway. From the dining room table you can view both ocean and the inter-coastal waterway with a simple turn of your head. the spacious king master suite has a walk-out balcony overlooking beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The master suite has a walk-in closet, two vanities and separate shower and a large soaking tub. There are two bedrooms on the western end of the second floor with a shared bathroom in between. the queen room has a walk out balcony gracing the inter-coastal. The twin singles room has a window seat and double closet.

The first floor consists of a two car garage, a full bath, laundry area and an apartment. The downstairs apartment consists of a kitchenette, one queen bedroom as well as a living room with TV and wireless internet.

There is a side walk to accommodate bike riding (4 bikes provided) and the historic jungle trail is just a few miles away. It is an excellent area to ride bikes. Our home is located a mile away from Sebastian Inlet and it is known for the National Surfing Contest yearly. Local surfing lessons are available. The fishing pier, at the park is 800 feet long and is opened 24 hours a day for your fishing or walking enjoyment.

A word about weddings: We receive many requests to hold weddings at our properties. In September 2015, the county of Indian River, passed regulations prohibiting weddings or parties at single family residences.

Weddings and other parties are prohibited in this county at vacation home rentals. The fine can be as much as $5,000. This fee is assessed and passed onto the guests.

We had an amazing stay. The location is incredible - we spent mornings at the beach and afternoons in the pool. The host was easy to reach and very accommodating of our requests. The house was clean with lots of space - comfortable beds. The beach is very private - we hardly saw anyone during our stay. Our teens enjoyed playing in the waves. This house is perfect for a family group.

Perfect house for family & friends vacation. The views were wonderful from both front to the Indian river and back to the ocean. Options to swim in both Atlantic & pool. The house was spacious and good privacy for 3 families & napping children. Best appointed vrbo kitchen we have stayed in, any appliance beyond what we could want. Plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery, sharp knives for inside and pool side use. Garage full of beach & pool toys as well as bikes, paddle boards & kayaks. Sebastian inlet state park was a short 2 mile bike ride away. Lots of fishing opportunities & wildlife to see ( turtles, manatees, dolphins & fish, pelicans, egrets, osprey & frigate birds). Highly recommended!!!

Great Beach Vacation

Property was big. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 children. Kitchen was well-equipped. Lots of beach and pool chairs, umbrellas and toys. Very close to beach, a short walk over the dune. I have no complaints.

Beautiful oceanfront getaway

Our family had a beautiful time at Tessie's home. Ocean sunrise and river sunsets were just gorgeous. The oceanfront deck was my favorite hangout after long walks on the beach with our pup. And watching my boys fish, surf and skimboard. Great time had by all.

Beautiful place with view of sunrise and sunset!

This place was perfect for us. My favorite part was being able to watch the sunrise in the morning and sunset at night. Short walk to the beach and beautiful pool, plenty of beachchairs. It would have been nice to have more toys and books for preschoolers. Refrigerator did not have a water dispenser or icemaker. Owner said refrigerator was being replaced.

The Best Time Ever

We’ve stayed at VBROs in the past but our stay at “steps to your own private beach” has by far been the Best Time Ever! It was a gathering of our entire family (our 3 son’s and their significant others & our 2 granddaughters) and it was a time that we will always remember. The property was very clean and the attention of every detail was incredible. Nothing was missed. Everything imaginable was available for us to use. The property manager was always available to answer every question or request we had.The beach, the pool, the home, everything was more than we every expected. We will be back.

Great private stay on the beach

Our group was adults ages 20-80. Great location with the ocean right there and the Indian River across the street. We saw just a handful of other people over several days as the property is in a residential area- long stretch of empty beach. The property had all the amenities to enjoy the pool, ocean, and Indian River. Our son saw a dolphin while kayaking in the river, and we saw numerous turtles in the ocean right in front of the property. We also saw manatees at the nearby Sebastian inlet which had a nice swim area. Oceanfront meal options in Vero or waterfront across the river in Sebastian. Full kitchen with everything you could need for meal prep on site. Very enjoyable stay. Property had several common areas inside and out to spread out or lounge around. Relaxing listening to waves from the back porch. Sunrise and sunset views.

Beautiful Home! I would stay here again

The home is absolutely beautiful and clean. The garage was beyond stocked for all the beach fun you could want with chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, kayaks, paddle boards, a travel cart, and so much more. On the downside, we had issues with water leaking 2 days in a row and had to deal with plumber and septic (very stinky) contractors which was a bit of an inconvenience, but the owner was quick to get it resolved. Also the beach and water in this area was covered with sea weed. Not a problem for the adults, but for the 4 kids (3, 4, 5, and 6 years old) they didn't want to get in the water. Overall it was a great time and I would recommend it. We even got to see sea turtles come up at night to lay eggs!!

We had our whole family of 9 here for a week and it was perfectly. Tessie was a great host. The home is beautiful and well stocked wither basics like coffee , many spices, ketchup, mustard and other staples. The kitchen has many helpful small appliances and dishes to serve 16 along with serving platters, full range of pots and pans and utensils and much more. We did not lack a thing and cooked extensively a wide range of cuisines. Nice work, Tessie! The rest of the home is equally well equipped with appliances ( iron, steamer for clothes, blow dryer, etc.). Also a nice collection of DVDs and at least three DVD players and TVs with two of them in large living area for group viewing. There are also lots of toys - 2 kayaks , 2 paddle boards, 4 bikes, beach umbrella, and other beach toys. Home is gorgeous and clean and the views and beach access consistent with all the rave reviews. There are some rocks in the surf so watch out to avoid a stubbed toe. There is also a gas grill outside and a nice back deck with furniture for enjoying an evening overlooking the ocean. Also a porch on the other side overlooking the river so you can catch the sunset over the river. The beach is virtually vacant. Even on the weekends you look both ways and can only see a handful of people for miles. We saw 4 turtles in the evenings coming up to lay eggs! There were a dozen laying sites created within walking distance of the home for the week we were there. Sitting on a paddle board just beyond the breakers we saw more than a few turtles poke their heads up to check us out while they wait for the night to come before coming ashore to lay eggs. Very cool. Lots of treasure salvage boats offshore working the nearby wreck site. Nifty treasure museum a half mile up the road that tells about it... and more. Worth visiting. This is a great home and we loved it.

Great fishing location and clean house

The communication was responsive with the property manager & the owner, which was appreciated. The owner was working towards the finishing of the pool & new railings for the balconies, which resulted in contractors coming every day for the first six days of our stay. They also came inside the home to do some of the work. The owner was very apologetic. After the contractors were finished, the pool company came three additional days to check water levels etc. The home itself was clean upon arrival. Anytime you rent a beach house, sand is always an issue. This home was clean & we found no hidden sand, smells, or dirty bedding! That was very much appreciated! The home does have issues with wifi being intermittent. Keep in mind, this home is located between two bodies of water. You are not in a major city. This is to be expected. We used our hot spot The dishwasher stopped working while we were there & the side of the had rust, so the whole thing needed to be replaced. The property manager said that the fridge and dishwasher would be replaced after our stay. So the next occupants should be able to enjoy new appliances. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware & glasswear. These items were not skimped on, they were high quality. The home has poor water pressure. The basement shower has a trickle & you are unable to run the outside hose & anything inside requiring water. If one person is taking a shower, the other showers do not have any pressure. We figured out a system for our family of eight, so we could make it work. The fishing on the river side & the ocean were great! We were able to catch lots of fish and enjoy beach time. Bug spray is a must and the no-see-ums are awful. This is obviously something the owner has zero control over, just a heads up to anyone visiting the area. The beach was pretty empty besides a few neighbors walking each morning. This house is located in a row of private homes, so you don't have to worry about a bunch of people on the beach. Disney's Vero resort was a five minute drive & Publix grocery does offer delivery to this house. From the front balcony, you get excellent views of the river & we watched dolphins almost daily. You can see the ocean from the home, but the sea grapes are tall (& protected so you can't remove) but they could be trimmed to provide better views of the water. I believe the landscaping is on the to-do list. It was damaged due to install of pool.

Wonderful beach access sunrise and sunset house minutes away from Sebastian inlet. Big house , family friendly. Would stay here again! Ping pong tables downstairs. Beach stuff in garage. We loved it.

Great beach getaway!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Tessie (owner) and Jody (property manager) were quick to respond to any questions via text. Plenty of living space and bathrooms! The beach toys (kayaks, paddle boards, and boogie boards?) were a big hit! Loved having the beach pretty much to ourselves. Loved the fenced yard for the dogs. Loved the ample parking. Everything in the house worked great! My only advice would be to bring plenty of bug spray because those guys are vicious.

Magical!

My family and I stayed for NINE glorious days! Beautiful house! Amazing private beach. Loved the green backyard going up to the beach. A beach bunny visited us every day. :) Everything we needed was provided - even beach toys for the kids. When the blender didn't work, Jody replaced it immediately. Had a little trouble with the AC and it was fixed within a couple of hours! Wonderful service from Jody. We even witnessed a Loggerhead turtle laying eggs one night.. right by our steps to the beach! It was so lovely to have access to both the front deck lagoon sunset and the back deck ocean sunrise. Such a beautiful place and neighborhood - quiet, private, and totally perfect! ! The house will be going through a renovation in August and I can't even imagine how beautiful it will be then. I totally recommend this vacation house! Hope we can come again!

We are a family of 7 and in addition to our five children, we have seven first cousins who love to come over and enjoy our piece of paradise. We love to bring our boat on its trailer and launch off from different areas in Vero. Fishing and beaching is what we enjoy doing as a family. It’s nice to leave the big city life and come to Vero and relax and dine in our favorite restaurants when we are not grilling in the BBQ outside.

Why they chose this property

After many years of renting beachfront properties we found one of the most unique areas in Florida where the beach strip is strictly residential with only single family homes and no condos. Suffice to say, it feels like it is our own private beach since we rarely see anyone on the beach. When you do run into people on the beach it always wonderful families or couples enjoying the beach. Most homes say beachfront and then you have to cross a main road to get to the beach, but the beach is only steps away through our backyard and over our own walkover.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits that made us fall in love was the fact that you can have multiple families stay and you have your own space. With 3 bedrooms upstairs, a kitchen, dining room, and family room it feels like your own home when there is a family downstairs enjoying their own 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, and family room. I wanted to be able to vacation with family yet no invade each other’s space. It has also been convenient because when our babies take a nap we either go upstairs or downstairs to play board games and watch movies as to not disrupt our infant’s nap.
