About the host
Hosted by Paola
Hi! My name is Paola, and I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m all about the great outdoors—whether it’s soaking up the sun at the beach, digging around in my veggie garden, or just enjoying the peaceful vibes of nature. I love early morning swims at the beach (best way to wake up!) and ending the day with deep conversations while gazing at the countryside. Basically, if it involves fresh air and good company, count me in!
Why they chose this property
We chose the Tajamares de la Pedrera neighborhood in Uruguay for its vast fields and breathtaking views. It’s the perfect balance of nature and proximity to the city. Located just an hour from José Ignacio, we can easily drive to enjoy a meal, visit friends, and then return to the tranquility of Tajamares de la Pedrera.
The area is home to “tajamares,” natural water reservoirs that resemble small lagoons, surrounded by grazing horses, cows, and abundant local wildlife like deer, hares, and capybaras. It’s a peaceful haven for nature lovers.
We enjoy mornings at the beach and afternoons by the pool—hence, we’ve included a lovely pool in the house to unwind. The walk to the beach is truly magical: you park near the entrance and take a 300 to 400-meter stroll through a charming forest.
We also appreciate having a dedicated outdoor space, like the barbecue area with grills and clay ovens, where we can cook and relax under the shade of a eucalyptus grove.
