Avalon: Old Nags Head Place, Private Pool, Hot Tub

Every time we walk along a beach some ancient urge disturbs us so that we find ourselves shedding shoes and garments or scavenging among seaweed and whitened timbers like the homesick refugees of a long war. ~Loren Eiseley

Avalon is located in the Old Nags Head Place neighborhood, near Milepost 12, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

The owners have taken great care to provide a relaxing and comfortable retreat for their guests. The private pool (14' x 24') and a hot tub.

This vacation home is located between the roads and guests cross the two lane Beach Road to access the ocean.

Amenities include TVs, DVD players, rec room with pool table, outside shower and charcoal grill. If you are bringing a little one with you please note that a high chair and Pack-n-Play are available at the house.

No pets allowed. No smoking/vaping. Fireplace not available for guest use. Please refer to the Rental Agreement while reviewing Rules & Policies for pool opening/closing dates and pool heat information, including details regarding the optional pool heat fee.

We were very pleased with our stay at Avalon. Perfect location and plenty of room for a large family gathering. Only possible improvement would be better lounge chairs by the pool. Would highly recommend staying here!

The house was nice, clean and had plenty of room for all of us. We arrived after the hurricane Florence evacuation. We did not have a starter kit so we were missing toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, etc. The pool was nice. The lounge chairs were old and cracked. Pool floats would have been nice to have. The grills were nice to have. Overall it was a great trip!

The Avalon house was beautiful. However, we were confused about the use of the pool. We were told it would be closed but there was no cover on it and the filter was running. also, someone from Village Realty showed up unannounced and without knocking and was on the back porch, he did turn off the pool filter since it "wasn't being used". I did call Village Realty and the issue was immediately responded to, but we were still confused as to why he showed up. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking our next vacation with Village Realty.

August 2017 Family Fun

Avalon is a wonderful home with all the amenities needed for a large family gathering!! The views from the deck were fantastic and we enjoyed our time by the pool. The biggest hits were the pool table and the pirate ship play ground! Also the Village Realty app is the way to go with keyless access and express checkout! Excellent customer service! We will definitely rent Avalon again!!

Perfect home for our family of 12. So close to everything, especially the beach access. The pool was the real winner, all of us enjoyed it everyday. The nice big grassy yard gave the kids somewhere to run around. Kitchen stocked with everything you need. Decks are perfect for sunrises and ocean views. We really enjoyed our stay!

Avalon is one of the nicest and cleanest homes we have ever stayed in. The furnishings thru out are very nice and comfortable. For those who enjoy cooking, you will find a well stocked kitchen, that is well organized. Decks looking out over the ocean is a perfect place to enjoy an evening with family, where there is plenty of seating. Due to the time of year we did not use the pool but the hot tub is certainly a welcoming way to relax. I would also recommend Village Realty. I found their staff very helpful and friendly which has made our stay much more enjoyable.
