We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house! The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The lake views were stunning, and we loved spending time on the deck soaking it all in.It was the perfect mix of relaxation and outdoor fun – swimming, kayaking, and paddle boating, perfect for unforgettable memories. The location was peaceful and serene. We’re so grateful to the hosts for making everything so easy and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again – highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful lake escape!
If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind this is where you would want to be. Spacious and well situated with everything you need. Thank you again for sharing your lake retreat.
This stay was wonderful! An excellent location on beautiful Kinderhook Lake! The provided kayaks and paddle boat were an awesome addition! One thing to note, it may get quite hot during the summer, and only the open living area and master bedroom have AC units. Other than that, the place is fantastic, and Bob is very responsive and hospitable!
We loved our stay at this lake house. The house had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable and clean. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed our time kayaking. The paddle boat was super fun! We highly recommend.
This was our second time staying at this property (first time with kids) and it was lovely. House is well kept, and works great, and there was plenty of room. Will stay here again!
It had snowed prior to our arrival, but it was cozy & warm inside. The owners had Christmas stockings & trees to add a holiday feel. Over our five day stay we got to see the lake go from frozen over to thawed. We were visiting family for the holidays & this was conveniently located for our visiting & for shopping in Great Barrington & downtown Hudson. We are considering returning during spring or summer so we can enjoy the lake!
We had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The interior of the house was clean and very comfortable. We would have liked the deck areas to be swept/cleaned better and the table umbrellas put out before our arrival. The dock was perfect for our 18 foot boat.
Had a family reunion on Lake Kinderhook. Location of house was perfect. Rating for cleanliness low, however it was due to cleaning crew not showing up before we arrived. Informed owner who was very appologetic. Would stay again.
We can't say enough about Robert's cozy gem on the lake. Always nice to stay and relax in a well taken care of property. The kids love to read and chill and have the space to spread out. Dad loves to fish and kayak. Thanks again for the opportunity. Beautiful community with friendly neighbors.

Lakehouse review
Inside of house was immaculate cleaned and stocked. Outside back deck was dirty with paint peeling and over grown landscaping. Could not use row boat since it did not have the plug, no life vests, no canoe, only things usable were the kayaks. Would have loved to have been able to get on the lake but at least I was able to get some sun on the dock.
Needed a place to take dogs and it was a bonus that it was waterfront. If you’re a bike rider this is great because the empire rail trail is right there, and it’s a pretty great ride in most spots. Kayaks and a pedal boat were available which was nice. The home owner was very communicative and helped us resolve internet/wifi issues we encountered during first few days.
The only downside is that the property seems neglected. Several lights were burnt out, bees and ants, both inside and out and many areas of rotting wood. It did not appear that the property was cleaned well before our arrival. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. Good location for day trips to other areas within NY and the berkshires. Friendly community and neighbors.
This was our first trip with my newly made family. (1.5 yr old and wife) also grandpa. Communication was even better than i would assume. Home was very home like. I’ve read a few reviews about the landscape… the way i look at it is… we didn’t go to smell flowers…its not that big of a deal. We went to get away, fish and enjoy a nice view on the water. And that’s exactly what we got. I arrived slightly before planned, messaged the host and they replied minutes maybe seconds later. Grandpa brought our own fishing stuff but they had any pole and set up needed. Didn’t go on the water with any of the toys but they were available. Loved every second of this trip. If we head that was again, winter or summer we will be staying here.
We loved our stay here and hope to come back! The deck and boats are definitely the number one selling point (and how we spent most of our time), but the house is very nice too. We were there during a heat wave and the AC in the main living space and master bedroom were wonderful to have. The smaller rooms weren't air conditioned, but if we left the doors open during the day, they cooled down nicely by nighttime. The owners were so generous with what they left us, including towels, linens, condiments, coffee, and of course the boats! You can really pack pretty minimally to come here. We also loved that our dog was allowed to come and he got to experience the joys of paddle boarding around Kinderhook Lake. Beautiful sunrises over the water, and we loved how the trees shaded the deck all day long. I spent most of the day out there reading and just enjoying the view, and would just jump in the water when I got hot. Thank you to the Cohens for a lovely stay!
