This large, pet friendly waterfront duplex home is divided into two private units. This is the top level unit which is a 1200 square feet open floor plan 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. It has a full kitchen, laundry room, open dining and living room. With huge windows facing the water, the view is spectacular with plenty of natural sunlight throughout the home. Enjoy your private balcony from right outside the living room.
We've recently added a brand new expansive boat dock including 2 slips with boat lifts, a large upper deck, fish cleaning station, swim ladder, and fishing lights. With extra docking on each side, our boat dock can easily accommodate 4 boats!
This home is gorgeous! Perfectly decorated by the owners, everything was handpicked with an eclectic, rustic coastal vibe. High end furnishings and decor, with comfortable beds and quality cotton bedding. Enjoy cooking meals in the large, fully stocked kitchen or explore one of our many fabulous restaurants here on the island.
The water view is outstanding! Enjoy eating dinner on the patio or waking up and enjoy your morning coffee overlooking one of the Laguna Madre canals. The canal is very wide with access for large offshore boats and we have plenty of room to park your boat on property.
The most popular water sports include fishing, surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, kite boarding and sailing. With quick access to the Inter-coastal waterway, bays, and offshore from our dock, you can enjoy fishing at any time!
Laguna Madre and surrounding areas offer excellent bay and offshore fishing as well as duck, dove, and deer hunting.
This location is ideal! Our property is just a few minutes from fantastic beaches, and mouthwatering menu’s at our local restaurants. One of the best boat ramps on the island is just a block away and we are right across the street from a community park where you can take a nice stroll or watch the kids play.

Wonderful experience. Gary (host) was engaging and helpful with questions and advice. The rental was clean and comfortable. The boat lift was the primary reason for my selection and found it to be in excellent condtion. I will be back.
The house and the host were excellent. Beautiful place with tons of room for our family and the host was easy to communicate with. We will definitely be staying here in the future.
This may be the nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. We did not want to stay at a high rise condo building, which is about all that is available near the beach, so we opted for this canal location just minutes from the beach. The home is beautiful and immaculate. The location on the canal is peaceful and laid back. Coffee on the deck each morning was lovely. The park cross the street was ideal for walking our dog. Gary is a great host who answered any questions we had very promptly. We would be happy to make a return trip!
Gary is always very helpful and makes sure we enjoy our stay. We have been staying at thus property since 2021, and it is in a great location and enjoy it every time.
Beautiful home and convenient location to everything
Gary is awesome to book with! We just wish we could have stayed longer! Boys enjoyed fishing, we were close to the beach and restaurants. Had all we needed for a nice little weekend stay. We will be back.
Very clean, wonderful place for kiddos and pets. However the green fishing lights were not functional on our trip, and the AC said it 72 but at night it was 80 at least in the bedrooms with ceiling fans on. We had to go buy box fans to stay cool. (AC was locked lowest at 72)It was a good time and very enjoyable.
Great location if you are bringing a boat. Dock right outside your door . The beach is just minutes away .House is well maintained clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for the 8 of us.Could use a few more pots and cookie sheets other than that everything was very nice.Planning to stay on bottom level in August.
The condo was very nice, very clean, and the pictures were accurate. It was well stocked with kitchenware and it was comfortable.

Great location. Nice condo, close to everything. Loved sitting on the balcony for breakfast and dinner with the sunset. Willl bring the kayaks next time to tie to the private dock.
We had the best time! The home location is amazing, not to mention the dock and deck. Our boys loved fishing and playing at the park. My husband and I enjoyed being able to fish off the dock and still be able to watch our boys play at the park. The home is spacious and cozy. Short drive to beach. Perfect place to enjoy all the island has to offer.
I have stayed at this property multiple times. It’s a great condo in a great location. And when you add in the best owner to work with I have ever rented from, it’s a no brainer. I never worry about staying with Gary...cause I know he will take care of any problems. My only Complaint is I don’t have more vacation and Kitchen passes from my wife to spend more time down there fishing!

Pet friendly - NOT one blade of grass on the lot!
Why bother? Good luck hot footing it down those stairs with a VERY rickety hand rail, carrying your dog in the middle of the night! Especially with a football knee. The master has a FOAM mattress. Good luck rolling out of bed, wrecking your back. I returned a $1,000 foam mattress to MF due to back spasms. My "check engine" light came on 80 miles short of Corpus. I chose to continue on. Given all that was/went wrong, we chose to head home after 1 night. The landlord chose to REFUSE to refund the $money$ for the other 3 nights. I will NEVER return.
DON'T chance it with this rental.

It's very obvious that Dee Dee is attempting to damage my property rating because I refused to allow her/him to cheat me after their 3 night stay.
First of all, "pet friendly" doesn't mean a grassy back yard for your pooch to do his business. I have vacant lots on both sides of my property and a large community park directly across the street where guests can walk their dogs.
Their math is wrong since they state that they only stayed 1 night and I refused to refund them for the other 3 nights. Actually, they only booked 3 nights total and stayed the entire time.
They give me a scathing review in stark contrast to all my other reviews. However, they stated that "We liked your accommodations." in a previous message direct to me asking for a refund for reasons completely unrelated to my property. This review is their way of lashing out since I refused to give a refund.
They state that my stairway has a "VERY rickety" handrail and is not suitable for a person with a football knee carrying a dog. My property is very well maintained and it certainly doesn't have a rickety handrail. I question why someone with a bad knee would book an upstairs unit in the first place.
My property description clearly states that I have comfy memory foam mattresses throughout. I've never received a single complaint about the mattresses and many positive comments about their comfort. I question why someone with a bad back who doesn't like memory foam would book a property that advertises memory foam mattresses.
It's unfortunate that there are people like Dee Dee who try to cheat hosts for a free vacation stay. It's also unfortunate that HomeAway would allow such a clearly inaccurate and untruthful review. I'm glad that Dee Dee will "NEVER" return but I hope honest folks will consider my vacation home.
