Located at the picturesque Bernard's Landing Resort, this gorgeous townhome is warm and inviting. Surrounded by the exquisite lake and mountain views, this home is truly beautiful and unique.

Recently renovated and tastefully furnished, this home offers 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths.

On the main floor, bedroom 1 offers 1 queen bed while bedroom 2 offers 1 king bed. 2 marble bathrooms on the main floor, kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dining room and the spacious living/family room with large sectional sofa, wood burning fireplace and big screen TV equipped Apple TV with 100s of movies to choose from.

2 bedrooms located on the upper level 1 with a king size bed, private patio, separate bath, plenty of storage and a big screen TV and the other offers 2 twin size beds, and a big screen tv. On the lower level, this home offers 1 with king bedroom with fireplace, full bathroom, laundry room, playroom with pool table, foosball table, and small theater.

Outside on the upper deck is furnished with a dining table setup for 8 and a comfortable sitting area to enjoy your day with your family and friends while being on the front seat of the most spectacular views of Smith Mountain Lake.

The lower deck is also set up with lounges chairs and a swing to provide yet another comfort to enjoy the views that will keep you breathless.

2 owner's kayaks and 1 SUP are also available for renters to use for free. Renters must sign a waiver before using kayaks.

Enjoy the convenience of several boat docks with just steps from your deck. And, whether you want to go for a swim or just want to get your feet in to the sand, a small beach is also located just a few steps from your backyard.

In addition to the beautiful panoramic views and fantastic amenities, this home is perfectly located for family who enjoys water sports such as sailing, boating, fishing, tubing, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing or simply swimming.

The Bernard's Landing Resort also offers various amenities for our guest to enjoy with their family and friends. The resort features a community beach with tiki huts and sitting area, boat ramps, docks, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, racquetball court, tennis courts, basketball courts, clubhouse and conference area for large gathering and so much more.

Also, located in the resort is Napoli by The Lake, one of the most sought after American restaurant at Smith Mountain Lake.

For last minute amenities and gifts, Bernie's Store is also located within the resort where you can get your groceries and gifts to remember your stay. Also, boat rentals are also available within the resort.

For the golfers out there, public and private golf courses are also located within minutes of the resort. And if you enjoy sailing or want to get a sailing lesson, Virginia Inland Sailing Association (VISA) is right next door for your convenience. They offer memberships, classes and even Junior sail camps.

Beautiful location on the lake.

A relaxing fun stay with our family. The home is laid out to take advantage of the floor space. Amenities are very nice, pool and lake a short walk.

It was comfortable with beautiful views, plenty of space and a stocked kitchen. May was very nice and flexible when my car died and I had to extend my stay to get it jump started. A Sweet Stay at Bernard's Landing

Bernard's Landing is one of my family's favorite places to visit. Peaceful Haven is a very lovely home, right on Smith Mountain Lake, that is beautifully appointed and very clean. The beds were super comfortable, too! The owner, May, was quick to respond to all questions, which we appreciated. We didn't use all that was available--bikes, kayaks, a grill, but it was nice to know they were there.

We had a great time, and felt the place was very well appointed, and well situated. Everything was clean and updated, and all the appliances worked. The lake and mountain views were very restorative and the little beach close by provided easy access to the lake for my two year old granddaughter. Communication was prompt and accurate. Check-in and check out were seamless. We were a party of nine, (6 adults, 3 children) and felt everyone had the space and bathrooms they needed to feel comfortable. It was an easy walking distance to the clubhouse and restaurant. Excellent location for a week of relaxation and a great introduction to Smith Mountain Lake.

We love Peaceful Haven!

This is our third stay at Peaceful Haven and it just gets better every year! The remodeling that has been done is stunning! There is plenty of room for a family to spread out. The lake views are gorgeous, the little beach is so convenient and the kayaks/SUP are great for touring the lake. We have already booked our stay for next year!

The property is amazing! It could not be closer to the lake and has a dock available. The location is within easy walking distance of a great restaurant, boat rentals and the community pool. Owner is very responsive and the location is one of the best in Bernards Landing. Great beach entry to the lake for kids to play, paddle board available, docks right by the back of the house, etc. Good furnishings and linens in the house which is appreciated. Only down side is the kitchen is small but since we spend most of the time outside it works for or family. Great place and have stayed there two years in a row

The best views on the lake

We’ve been coming to Smith Mountain Lake for 34 years. We stayed in many lovely places both homes and condos and this has got to be the best location with the best view. Our hostess May was remarkable responding to any question or request immediately. The house was immaculate, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen well stocked! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Week

Waterfront with Mountain View - we woke up every morning in awe of being able to drink our coffee in the back deck and take in the beautiful scenery. We swam in the lake every day and used the provided water toys. Our toddlers loved being able to walk right in to the water. The home was fully accommodating in terms of layout and supplies. We can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful Haven was heavenly for our extended family of 10 ranging in age from 8 months to 65 years! Even better than we anticipated! House was spacious and had everything we needed and then some! Top & bottom decks afforded lovely views of the lake and mountains! Sandy beach was just steps away and convenient boat rental around the cove. Owners are very responsive to any questions/issues that arise! Stay here to make family memories you will treasure for a lifetime!

Great Long Weekend at the Lake!

The views from the house were absolutely amazing! The pictures don't do it justice. My family stayed here over the holiday weekend and we couldn't have chosen a better place....walking distance to boat rentals & food, courtesy dock & sandy beach steps from the deck with expansive views of the lake, kayaks & a SUP available on-site, and tons of stuff to do in and around the condo. Everything was clean, fresh, and as advertised upon check-in. May was great about checking-in with us and extremely helpful!

Being married for over 20 years, my husband and I have traveled to many different parts of the world and have enjoyed amazing experiences from different foods, to cultures, people and sites.

After starting a family and as the children grew to school age, we pretty much have to change the way we travel for vacation. We still try to take them somewhere outside of the country as much as we could to experience diverse foods and cultures but for short vacations, we decided to stay at local sites that are easy to drive to. A place to go to during the children’s short school breaks and still have a wonderful time while not having to driver there forever.

Living in Northern Virginia, we have so many beautiful places to choose from within driving distance. From the mountains, lakes, golf courses, the bay, the beaches and wineries, there is always something for each member of the family to enjoy.

My husband enjoys boating and my children enjoys anything that involves water. We have heard so much about Smith Mountain Lake and we decided to check it out. To our surprise, the lake has everything for everyone in the family to enjoy. Now my kids can't wait to go there whenever we can. Coming from Norther Virginia, it still take us between 4.5 to 5 hours to drive but the extra hour or two drive are well worth it when you get there.

Why they chose this property

This home is probably one of the nicest and largest unit for rent at Bernard's Landing with almost 3200 sq. ft of living space. It is unique because of its open floor plan and the panoramic view of the lake and the mountains from many parts of the home. The boat docks and a small beach are just steps away from the backyard so we don't have to go far to have fun and enjoy the lake.

This was the very first home we saw at Smith Mountain Lake and we didn't want to see any others after seeing it. We knew this is the home for us when my husband and I saw our twins sitting on the swing staring at the lake unmoved and just mesmerized by the gorgeous views. When we told them it's time to go to see another house, both of them said "No, this is our home."

What makes this property unique

You can sit on the swing by the lower deck all day and be mesmerized by the nature’s beauty surrounding you. An occasional visit from local blue bird is always a possibility since it also has a "lake home" next to the swing.

Waking up in the morning with your cup of coffee seeing the lake so calm much like looking at a glass with the mountain reflecting to it is just a soothing sight.

The panoramic views of the lake and mountains are just magnificent and breathtaking. Depending on the time or day of the year, the view is constantly changing from the clouds forming and draping the mountains, rain coming from one side of the lake to the other and more often than not, you will see the biggest rainbow across the lake that would linger for quite some time.

You'll see family having a great time tubing, fishing, boating or just simply having fun with their family and friends cruising the lake. It is never a dull moment while sitting on the deck watching the water.

Watching the sun rises in between the V area of the mountain where the damn is quite a site. The moonlight reflecting on the lake with its flickering lights will just make you want to stay out on your deck and watch it all night.

But one of the best part is, you do not have to go anywhere to see the fireworks for the 4th of July. Just have your friends and family over, take your drink, grab your seat on your back deck and enjoy the show!
