Was a great little cabin right on the lake! We fished for several days and it was easy to drive the boat right to the dock get something to eat and head right back out.
This old school cabin is exactly what we’d hoped for. Owner is fantastic & the location on Big Lake is perfect for a boating enthusiast / fisherman. WiFi & tv streaming selections are provided free of charge. Private boat dock allows for great views of otters, loons, eagles, etc.

“Up North” cabin!!
We had a great week, everything awesome. The cabin was cozy and everything we were looking for!
Property was clean and as described. Nice access to the lake and good view from the deck. Great communication with the owner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were looking for a nice small fishing cabin on the Cisco chain. That’s exactly what we got. It isn’t a five star resort, but was a very cozy and comfortable place to eat and sleep after a long day of fishing. The owners are extremely nice and were very prompt in taking care of the only issue we had. Would definitely stay there again.
Very good communication with owner. We had stayed in this cabin many years ago and were pleased to see that they have been working on improvements. Planning to return next year.
A very nice place to stay. Nice location and awesome lake access. Was mislead about the pontoon rental, but other than that we had a great vacation. The guest contact was very informative and helpful when we experienced a power outage. Was much appreciated.

Rustic Retreat on Big Lake
Took the family to Land O Lakes for a week of fishing on Big Lake. The pier has incredible views of the lake. The Wifi and TV worked great (many streaming services). The cabin is located a short 5 minute drive from Bents Camp where my in-laws were staying. To make this stay even better, I would suggest increasing the storage space in the kitchen and bedrooms.

True Northwoods Experience
If you are looking for a real Wisconsin Northwoods experience, this is it. Quiet and quaint. Comfortable and simple. Far enough tiff the beaten trail yet close enough to plenty of local amenities. You can’t go wrong here. While it was a very cool and wet week, we were able to decompress and truly enjoy our surroundings.

Northwoods cabin + use of a pontoon!!
Summary. Needs some TLC, it's a small cabin, but get's the job done for 3-4 guys. The cabin floor slants a bit towards the lake. Great wide pier! The use of the pontoon for $100.00 + gas, for your stay is a 'big' budget plus! The pontoon runs great but needs some 'TLC', and the locator does not work, bring a portable! Minor issues; steering console on the pontoon is loose, no cold water in the kitchen, the bathroom and shower are tight, could use a little work. The owner is great to work with but not close by if you have issues. We forgot to ask for a wi-fi code if any, and cell reception is spotty. No TV service connection or instructions we could find! Caught 'a lot' of 'smallies' and northern's and a 36"/12-15lb muskie trolling around the islands of the Wisconsin border lakes!

We really enjoyed our time up north at your cabin on Big Lake! The price was amazing! The fishing was good! Beds were comfortable! Awesome dock! The only thing that could have made it better would be a bit more of a clearing between the cabin and the lake and a place for a fire pit! We would definitely stay there again! Thanks so much!
This was a wonderful Northwoods experience for both of us. The cabin was comfortable, quiet and had that unique northern Wisconsin feel. It was warm and comforting and included everything that you need to enjoy time in the woods along a beautiful lake. the location is far enough away from towns to give a true getaway feeling, yet close enough to have access to great dining and shops. The owners had provided information on local attractions, maps and points of interest that were very helpful. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The views from the cabin and the dock were breathtaking. We highly recommend this cabin and it's owners. Thank you for allowing us to share this wonderful property!
Very nice clean… kitchen very small… The fire pit just sits off to side no place to really have it. They offer rental of pontoon don’t rent bad shape. Over all we enjoyed, close to places.
Amazing place, right on a beautiful lake with a deck. We struggled getting access to the cabin but everything was great once we were able to get inside. Super soft & fluffy towels. Comfortable beds & bedding. We would definately stay there again.
The lake was stunning. The fall colors were in peak and that made it very special. Fish were not biting, but we had a blast non the less. Nice restaurants near by made it nice as well.
Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. View and surrounding environment was perfect.
We were able to also enjoy activities in the areas surrounding the cabin; Land O' Lakes, Boulder Junction, Minocqua. The cabin owner was very accommodating and offered suggestions on many great things to do.
We spent 7 days here for a fishing trip. This was a perfect location on beautiful water. The property had a private dock for our boat. The cabin had all the creature comforts and was very clean. Tom, the neighbor to the east of the cabin, was very welcoming and friendly and helped us with scouting fishing spots on the chain. The property owner was extremely accommodating and friendly with questions we had. Anyone looking for the perfect spot for a fishing trip with a peaceful north woods getaway- this is it!

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was nice but the cabin door you could not lock because the door did not shut tight. The price was a little to high. But all in all we had a good time fishing and checking out the lakes in Michigan.

Decent cabin no amenities
The cabin is decent for the price. However not even a roll of paper towels around. So bring everything!

Gorgeous location but the cabin was dilapidated
I'm a lifelong Northwoods vacationer & know Land O' Lakes very well so when I saw this listing on Big Lake I was so excited! When we arrived I was not disappointed - loon calls, eagle & deer sightings all within the first couple of hours & the lake view was stunning. Unfortunately the accommodations were substandard - leaking roof, carpenter ants everywhere, old fridge that hummed all night, and floors that slanted in all directions. The furniture smelled funky & had not been vacuumed between the cushions in a long time. A lot of work needs to be done to this cabin before I'd stay there again.

Great dock. Decent cabin. Clean and has all the basics. Not very well stocked though. No towels, dish cloths or anything to scrub your dishes with. Overall had a good time.

Rustic, lost in time
Some times you cannot go back to what you enjoyed years ago. cabin was musty and somewhat ant infested, lost between two large houses. Not a place you want to hang around.
I suppose if you were just fishing it would be OK. No towels nor soap for the dishwasher nor chairs for the deck etc.- all little things but they add up. For what we received it was overpriced.
