Visiting the Farm

Some of our animals are in the pasture behind the house. If you walk to the back of the property and take a right, you will see pastures with our other animals. (Please only explore the farm during daylight hours)

A few things to note:

  • For your safety and the safety of the animals please do not go in the pastures without my (host, Jen) or my husband's (co-host, Brett) supervision. If you want a supervised tour feel free to reach out. We cannot guarantee that we will be available but we love to share our farm if we are.
  • Please do not feed the animals anything other than the feed that we will provide as part of your stay.
  • Please do not drive back to the other pastures. There can be sticks that need to be cleared or mud that your car could get stuck in.
  • If it is super wet outside we recommend wearing boots that can be washed off

A little about the animals

  • Goats: We breed miniature silky fainting goats. This breed is not bred for production as they are a cross between a meat and a milk goat. We breed this type of goat for their friendly demeanor and they help keep the pastures free of weeds. People usually want to come to the farm to see the alpacas and cows and they usually end up spending most of their time with the goats.
  • Miniature Cows: We currently have 2 heifers and 2 bulls that are Miniature Highlands, we also have a Miniature Belted Galloway and a Miniature Dexter cow.
  • Alpacas: We have both male and female alpacas. Our females share a pasture with a llama named Martina McBride. She is the watchdog over the alpacas. Alpaca’s are a little skittish but they love to come and get treats. They can sense your vibe so being calm and gentle will result in the best interaction with them.

This charming little farmhouse sits on 8 acres of picturesque property. Our home is located on the opposite end of the land, ensuring our guests have plenty of privacy. Feel free to explore the property and enjoy visiting our mini Highland cows, goats, and alpacas. For the safety of both our guests and animals, we kindly ask that you do not enter the pastures unless accompanied by the host or co-host for supervised interaction.

Let us know if you need anything during your stay by texting or calling us. If we don’t answer, please leave a message or text.

There is a small pasture behind the house so you might see either us or our farm helper feeding the animals but we will be as discrete as possible.

Cleanest, most fully appointed place we have ever stayed in. The host even provided a high chair when we mentioned we might have friends visit with their little ones. The guest house is beautiful and the farm animals entertaining! Would return in a heartbeat next time in SLC. Highly recommended!

The house is extremely well maintained and modern for conveniences. The farm pets are a wonderful addition to see and visit. Great location to access Antelope Island and close to stores. Jen and Brett were both extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for adding to our vacation!

Cozy little cottage near Antelope Island

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the little farmhouse. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The proximity to the main roads as well as Antelope Island made it an ideal place to stay while we explored the area. The kids loved visiting the animals each morning! We had a little glitch with our check-in code initially, but the owners were generous and responsive. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great base camp for birding

Very comfortable and convenient to Antelope Island and other area birding hotspots (main focus of our trip). Nice back deck with shade in the morning. Spacious kitchen with new appliances. Bathroom is on the tiny side but lovely fixtures! Neighboring farm animals were adorable.
