The house was beautiful and clean !! Host is very friendly and Hassle free check and checkout .. waking up to sunrise was surreal experience.. great location and the access to beach was very good. We enjoyed the house toatally and made so many great memories!!
Pinewood Lodge offered great living and dining space for a large family gathering. We had a large group with kids and adults of all ages and lots of room to spread out. The beach and views are beautiful!!
We had a wonderful time and loved being so close to the beach and to Munising and Marquette too. We had lots of teens, adults and kids and we all had plenty of space to spread out and lots of things for everyone to do!
We had an amazing time did so many different things up in the UP the weather was beautiful Beach was beautiful.House was very clean and accommodating, but there were some things that were lacking from this first time we visited and the price that we paidHalf of the beach chairs are broken. Kids got scraped pots and pans need to be updated to nonstick and the landscaping was in need of help.We did have an amazing time,
Property was super clean and well kept up. Amazing views at all times of the day. Everyone loved our stay, only wish the AC worked a little better as it did get quite warm inside during the day (but let’s face it who wants to be inside when there’s that beach!)
Place was outstanding, enough bedrooms to have privacy when needed and large enough gathering spaces to fit big groups comfortably. The host team was active and available during our entire stay. Can't imagine how beautiful it must look in the warmer months on the beach...We will be back as soon as we can budget in another trip, looking forward to it!
Hosted a very intimate wedding for my imediate family. Lodge was just as pictured if not better. Plenty of space for the 20 people we had staying. Appreciated a super quick response from the host when we needed them. I will recommend this lodge too many friends and family.
Wow!!! House was amazing. Room for everyone
Sites we visited were spectacular!!
Beach with paddle boards and kayaks was wonderful!! Great trip
Thanks hope to be back!!!
The entire resort is beautiful! The house is clean, well designed to accommodate large groups with ease, lots of amenities. The deck offers generous outdoor seating, all with great views of the lake. You get both sunrises and sunsets! The beach is sandy, no rocks and you can walk for miles. We loved our stay!
We rented the Pinewood Lodge to host our immediate families for a small wedding. It was the perfect spot to have everyone. The lodge and location are beautiful with gorgeous views overlooking Lake Superior. There was plenty of space to fit our crew of 22 people. The location was perfect, right between Marquette and Munising. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue!
We really enjoyed our stay, beautiful property, well maintained, private, quiet beach. Best way to enjoy upper penninsula. Property is big and can accomdate bug family. Robust internet. Ev chaeging was plus for our electrical car. We will visit again. Matt, and Emily, the owners were great very resposnive. Thank you 🙏
We wanted to go somewhere quiet and cozy for winter break this year. We have a large family and were looking for a place that could comfortably accommodate our group. Pinewood Lodge was exactly what we needed. Everyone got their own room. There was plenty of space to relax and we made good use of the cooking and dining areas. Now that we have experienced the winter, we would love to come back and stay in the summer so we can do more on the beach and enjoy the outdoor areas.Property owner/manager were great communicators and everything was as expected. Highly recommend!
Location not ideal for snowmobiling . Everything else fantastic

Thank you for your review, we are so glad you enjoyed our lodge. Many snowmobile groups have stayed at our lodge and returned multiple years because of our proximity to the trail head. We are less than a half mail from the trail so I am confused by your comment, however, if you tried to access the trail by heading in an eastern direction I can see why you would have thought that. Either way, we are glad you enjoyed your time at our lodge and appreciate you taking the time to review it.
We had a group of 25 snowmobilers and this place is absolutely perfect. We all had our own beds/bedrooms & bathrooms! It's very spacious, well stocked with dishes, etc. for large groups. We did a Costco run before we arrived so we cooked all breakfasts and dinners at the lodge and there was plenty of space for cooking and everyone to sit down and eat their meals. The trail was just 1/4 mile down the road. Restaurants, gas stations and grocery were close by. I highly recommend!! We will be back!!
The property was exactly as describe. There was plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy themselves without being on top of one another. There was a total of 28 of us that made it and we had a blast. They have everything you need at the lodge such as plenty of towels, dishes, pots and pans, small appliances, games, movies, and a breath taken view of Lake Superior. I would definitely stay again. I would recommend this property. The only problem I had was that we didn’t get any snow other than that it was a perfect stay. We still got to do some snow tubing at a near by ski resort.
My family and I could not be MORE thrilled and pleased with The Pinewood Lodge in any way, shape, or form. From the minute our communications began with the host, through arrival, our stay, and afterwards.. there are not enough stars to rate our stay high enough! When I tell you this lodge is completely well stocked, that is an understatement.. it almost became a joke between our 27 family members to try and find something this place didn't have.. we left with nothing on our list. It was everything and more that is described in the listing and property owners could not have been more wonderful if they tried. 15/10!! We WILL be back.
We absolutely loved the lodge! The layout is perfect for large groups, we came with family and friends and everyone had a bedroom and bathroom. When we walked in you could smell how clean the property is. There are two kitchens and two separate seating areas. The kids loved the theater, and the cabinet of board games! There was a sauna as well but we didnt try it. We have stayed at a lot of properties in Michigan, not one compared to this one and its beach! The beach for the house is stunning, private, and very clean. The amount of sand front is great. We had a football game or soccer game going everyday. The water was cold but we still went in, very refreshing. The outside has so many pretty sitting areas, a nice swing, gazebo, cute little spots just hidden through out. The bonfire space was great. One thing I really appreciated was that they really stock up on toilet paper, towels, soaps, even the kitchen had spices available. We have been to a lot of places that give you the bare minimum and like 3 garbage bags. You wont have to worry about that here. We came in June, it was still chilly, but we enjoyed it. Pictured rocks is only 15 minutes away, we did the cruise. The hiking is 40 minutes from the house, well worth it! The owners are very kind and responsive, any questions we had the answered right away. We definitely plan to be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
