Cute little bungalow!

We were in town for my sister’s wedding but didn’t want to pay hotel prices. This was such a cute little place that was close to everything. The house was so cute and the neighborhood was quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Loved being within walking distance of historic Hyde Park. We were able to walk and get lunch or coffee in the morning or shop and get dinner in the evenings when it cooled down. Perfect for our small family. Super convenient they had the pack and play for our one year-old. Very clean and cute historic home.

As Described/Shown

The home is as shown/described, very cozy. The little bungalow neighborhood is really cool. Walkable to Hyde park, soho, along the water on bayshore. Loved the large front porch

Great Location

My wife and I stayed at this property during a long weekend visit to Tampa. The home is a quaint bungalow in a neighborhood built circa 1913. About a dozen of these homes were built along a walkway forming a small community. The location is outstanding. We walked to restaurants and shopping at Hyde Park Village. We also walked to Bayshore Blvd to see the waterfront. It’s a short Uber ride to downtown Tampa and Ybor City. It’s in a really beautiful neighborhood. Being an historical home, the floors are a bit uneven and some of the surface materials are a bit worn. However, it was well maintained and very comfortable for our stay. We very much enjoyed it. Parking is behind the home off a fairly nondescript alley. Definitely check out Google Maps and street view to familiarize yourself with how to find the property. Finally, this property is managed by Grand Welcome (similar to VRBO) so you will get a reservation confirmation from both. Communication with Grand Welcome was good so no issues with the property manager. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Good location / Unexpected Rental Requirements

This is tough one to review. The location is nice, in a safe historic community. Other than the house being musty (either the age of the house or dampness from recent storms) and the arrival temperature at 78 degrees, we enjoyed our stay. If I was aware of the following requirements below ahead of booking, I would have unfortunately passed on this property. There are details that need to be listed on Vrbo explaining the requirements outside of the Vrbo agreement that you will be responsible for after your Vrbo booking and payment. The property is managed by "Grand Welcome" which requires you to digitally sign a 30 page rental agreement. A lawyer would probably tell you not to sign this given the details, however it was too late to cancel and book another property. "Grand Welcome" also uses a service called "Superhog" which makes you send a picture of your drivers license and submit a selfie photo before they will send the arrival instructions and entry code. I have used Vrbo several times before and this is the first time I have had to deal with these requirements. I understand the owner wants to protect their property, but I really felt stuck at the last minute with signing and sending this legal and personal information that I can only hope is protected adequately.
