Please reference the room descriptions below and then the property map ay the bottom to help better visualize where you and your group can stay most comfortably.

CACTUS MOON LODGE:
This is the main lodge, A.K.A. hub of magic! It consists of a grand room with an open concept kitchen, dining room and a cozy living room with large stone fireplace. It overlooks the pool and has canyon views that go on for miles! It also is connected to the star gazing decks and covered porch areas. No bedrooms here, just a space to gather together and enjoy each other's company. All bedrooms are in separate cabins so those that want to stay up late can and those that do not can turn in.

QUEEN OF THE NIGHT:
Named after a very special kind of Orchid Cactus. You have to stay up late to enjoy the opening of this extraordinary cactus, which is shaped like a majestic waterlily. If you are an early riser and usually early to bed - this plant is not for you! The queen of the night cactus flowers between dusk and dawn - for us she is the highlight of the party season.
This is the master suite of dreams! It has a plush king sized bed and 20 foot vaulted ceilings, 15 foot velvet curtains, a dressing room with antique wall mirrors, a view of the canyon, pool and the Texas hill country hills. It has a double sink vanity, a getting ready area along with two bathrooms. One with a shower and one with a clawfoot tub. IT IS PURE BLISS.

GOLDEN BARREL & PRICKLY PEAR
A.K.A. the twinsies. This cabin consists of two rooms that can be joined or separated from one another. Each has a queen sized bed, private sink and private dressing area with a shared toilet and shower room.  These two are situated off of the courtyard and have cozy high thread count sheets, a fluffy duvet and cloud like pillows. DREAMY X 2.

BUNNY EARS
Yes there is a cactus named that! And if you did not know, its fuzzy, cute and quite the charmer. It consists of two twin beds and a full bathroom with floor to ceiling window that over looks a wet weather creek bed and often has deer roaming close by. This one is furthest away from the others but it still gets hopped up WIFI.

MOTHER OF HUNDREDS:
Named after a cactus called Mother of Hundreds because it can form hundreds of large clumps up to 3 feet wide. It can also produces reddish-pink flowers in winter.
This is the largest room at 1500 sq ft. and has a small living room area with a 65" tv (amazon and netflix) and can comfortably sleep 4 with two full size beds. There is also a full size bathroom.  An all white room with exposed white trusses, wall to wall steel and glass doors with vaulted ceilings and round moon window. All of this overlooks a grove of oak trees and opens up to a courtyard surrounded by wild grasses and cactus. This space also has access to a side private deck area.
LET THIS MAMA NURTURE YA!

SILVER ARROW:
Also named after a cactus, this 1964 Shasta vintage travel trailer boasts a bare metal silver exterior and a fun and colorful retro interior. Step back in time in this cozy camper. It has a memory foam twin sized bed, mini fridge, small closet and a dinette table with booth seats. It has a window unit a/c and a space heater for cold nights.  It is connected to a private side deck area that adjoins to the bathroom and shower inside Mother Of Hundreds.

TWO NEW CASITAS!!
#1 DOMINO
Named after the unique and unexpected Domino cactus. This room has incredibly high ceilings, a queen bed, a huge walk in shower and artisan designers touches throughout. With lots of light and large windows you get to enjoy views from almost every angle. The oversized double steel doors lead to a porch with a view for miles and an adjoining wrap around walkway. Domino is a short distance away from the main lodge connected by a gorgeous decked pathway. DEUCE VISTAS.

#2 DESERT DIAMOND
Named after the striking Diamond cactus. You enter through terraced limestone steps, all foraged from the land. This room has incredibly high ceilings, a queen bed, sitting area and massive wood carved wall mirror. Enjoy a huge walk in shower with bench and artisan designers touches throughout. With lots of light and large windows you get to enjoy gorgeous hill country views. The oversized steel entry door connects to a covered porch with an adjoining walkway to the main lodge. A GEM.

Paradise
Beautiful, relaxing, fun, spacious…. An experience that will last forever…. So many awesome memories. I would like to make a suggestion… handrails on the steps under the arch would help & make them safer. We also needed more kitchen towels. We were only given 2 for 4 days. The gas was not connected to stove when we were ready to cook. That needs to be checked before each different customer gets there. Those are only minor but could improve the stay:

Girls Trip
One of the best places I have EVER stayed!! Coordinating a trip for 7 women held high expectations and every one of us was blown away by the property. The decor, the layout, the view, the rooms, the peace and quiet. We all immediately loved it from the drive up to the entire stay and cannot wait to book our next summer teachers trip here. Liz is amazing and you will not be disappointed!!!

Why they chose this property

Cactus Moon Lodge is a run by four siblings. Each is a career creative of some sort with a mission to create spaces and experiences for others to enjoy. The name was inspired by their parents. With a mom who grew up in West Texas who had a love for cactus and desert plants and a dad who had a 36 year career at NASA where he planned and directed the space missions and moon landing. (He was also notably given the Presidential Medal of Freedom for helping to save Apollo 13.) Together they instilled the importance of a special place for friends and family to gather and enjoy nature, the stars, full moons and each other. And so Cactus Moon was born.

Gather here, retreat here, find solitude here, celebrate here.  A space to be free, creative and to hit the reset button. We can’t wait to share this magical hideaway with you.

What makes this property unique

Close to wineries, wedding venues, Pedernales State Park, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Johnson City, Hye and Fredericksburg. The location is West of downtown Dripping Springs by roughly 5 miles. The charming Texas Hill Country towns of Wimberley and Johnson City are 20 miles away and Austin is roughly 25 miles away. Camp Lucy is 3 miles away along with many other wedding venues and Pedernales State Park is 12 miles away. Perfect place to stay to hit the Texas Hill Country winery trails/breweries too!
