About this property
The Sparrow Chalet at Sunrise Village
Custom built log home only minutes from Sunday river and mount Abrams, perched on a private cul-de-sac in one of the most beautiful, quietest new subdivisions in Bethel. Sparrow chalet is the perfect house for family fun on and off the slopes.
This family friendly home features four bedrooms and many comforts, great for relaxing after a long day on the slopes or trekking through the hills. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace in the living room to enjoy the astounding mountain views from sun up to sundown (the neighborhood is called sunrise Ridge for a reason!).
Great layout with separate space, designed for family visits, allowing you to enjoy a ping pong or foosball competition in the basement game room while others relax in the quiet upstairs.
Private location yet close to the town of Bethel for a quick run to the grocery store or dinner at one of the wonderful restaurants in town.
The home is situated on 3 acres of beautiful land. Forest and natural settings around the home, yours to explore! Great for snowshoeing and sledding.
House rental includes all bed and bathroom linens, as well as kitchen dishware and cookware, including coffee maker, toaster blender, etc. Please note that guests will need to supply paper products (napkins, bath tissue, etc).
We welcome families to enjoy our custom built home!
Please note: Fires of any kind are absolutely prohibited on the property. This is a heavily forested area and fires endanger the entire local community. Please act responsibly.

About the host
Hosted by Rex Bridges

Growing up in upstate New York, I spent most of my time playing in the Hudson River, or running up in the Catskills and Adirondacks as much as possible for any activity I could get involved in.
After moving to Newport Rhode Island after college, I immediately fell in love with the ocean but still logging lots of miles exploring the mountains of New England.
In 2013 our family decided to commit to our love of the Bethel area and purchase some land. 2 short years later we took the next step and built our dream mountain home. Living in Rhode Island, we value splitting our time at home near the ocean, with our new home in the mountains.
Part of realizing our dream of owning a second home in the mountains is to manage the house to share with guests like you, and your families. In just a few years we have been overjoyed at the experiences that our guests have shared with us. Whether attending local wedding ceremonies, hosting holidays, or just having a getaway with family, we love hearing about all of the fun. The first thing our kids do upon arrival is run to the guest book to read the new additions to it.
We hope we can provide the same experience for you:)

Why they chose this property
This property allows us to escape to a rural setting, away from traffic and hustle and bustle, but still be within minutes to the town of Bethel, and close to our favorite activities such as skiing Sunday River, or the endless areas to hike like Mt Will and Step Falls.
The quick drive into town keeps us connected with our local friends, and always meeting new ones.
On clear nights we can sit back on the deck and see the full sky of stars and the Milky Way with no light or noise pollution, save for the occasional satellite or transatlantic flight we follow silently across the sky. And of course each morning I'm awake bright and early with a cup of tea to watch the sunrise pour across the valley and into the living room.
We value the tranquility of Sparrowhawk mountain, and being able to walk out our front door to hike the valley below.
