Welcome to the San’Bar!

Located on a quiet road on the Nubble peninsula, this cozy cottage is perfectly located between both of York’s beautiful beaches!

Less than a 10 minute stroll down to the Short Sands area to enjoy the beach, restaurants, shops, and York's Wild Kingdom. An equally quick walk in the other direction brings you to Long Sands Beach where you can spend a fabulous day catching waves and sun, or enjoying a long walk on the sand.

Two air-conditioned bedrooms, one full and one with two twins, plus a pull-out couch sleeps 6. An open, airy floor plan with large windows maximizes family time during your vacation. A large deck with furniture and a gas grill provides the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the salt air after a day of fun.

- The full kitchen is stocked with a full complement of plates, silverware, pots, pans and utensils. - Along with a full-size stove there is also a microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker.
- High Speed Wi-Fi, and Large Screen 4K Roku TV for your work-at-home needs and enjoyment.
- Parking for two cars, and a small yard for the kids to play in.

The house is professionally cleaned and disinfected between stays.

Rentals are weekly (Saturday through Saturday) throughout the summer. Please see calendar for availability.

Perfect vacation home

The property is located between both Long and Short Sands beach, both walk-able. Super clean, well-appointed and had all the cooking items we needed. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Very nice stay!

We enjoyed the home and the proximity to both Long and Short Sands beach. Plenty of room for myself, two teens and my Mom. Neighborhood was relatively quiet and friendly.

Great Little Cottage - We had a wonderful time staying at the San’BarIDEAL location as within walking distance to everything Short Sands has to offer, The Nubble and Long Sands (longer walk)Has a front deck with grill, great for family meals or unwinding from a day at the beach with a drink. Ample family area and has board games and puzzles for family fun without turning the TV on. No central AC in the whole house, but open the sliders and the ceiling fan cools it down in minutes, window AC in the 2 bedrooms for sleeping comfortIt was super clean when we arrived, and the communications from Scott and check in process couldn't have been smootherHighly recommend

Great spot for small family!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We are a small family of 3 (plus a friend). The house was as described and very clean. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to both beaches. I would definitely recommend!

Cozy house in Great location

This is a great spot, it was our second time staying there. Close walk to both beaches, it's a really great location. One thing to be aware of if you have small children is that there are several sharp corners. Other than that it's a perfect spot for a small family.

Perfect Location!

We loved it, exactly as described! LR/kitchen area is spacious and comfortable. Our weather was awesome so we spent most of our time out on the deck. Large deck with seating for 6 and a large gas grill ready to go! Location is spot on, right between both beaches! Easy walk either way! My husbands comment was “I could easily spend the summer right here!” We’ll def check availability for our next trip!

Magical York Vacation

We’ve been coming to York,ME for family vacation for over 25 years! Our Maine getaway

We are a family of 5, two adults and 3 children ages 2, 4, and 7. We truly enjoyed our stay at this beach house. Just the right amount of space for our young family, super close walking distance with our beach caddie or stroller to either long or short sands and the fun that goes with both places! Awesome deck space! No bathtub but super easy to shower the babes with one of us! Absolutely the perfect location and we had everything we needed!! Scott is super responsive and communication was fast and easy! Definitely looking forward to renting here again, thank you for this opportunity!!

Amazing Location

The best part about Scott’s place is the amazing location. It’s a less than 10 minute walk to both Short and Long Sands Beaches. The pictures are pretty accurate and the house was pretty well cleaned when we arrived. A few nit-picky things to consider: air conditioners in the bedrooms were very loud. We just had to turn them on ahead of sleeping. Bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap. Overall, we hardly spent time at Scott’s except to drop off our beach gear between outings, shower off, and sleep, so it served its purpose.

Disappointed Describes 2021

Sadly, after having rented this property a year ago when we would have given it an 8 of 10, this year we struggle to give it a 4 of 10. Lacking in quality is the key phrase. Everything from cleanliness to communication was better in 2020 than 2021. From leaking faucets to ants, from dirty carpets to lack of any amenities, sadly you get what you pay for. But wouldn't it be nice if you got just a little more? It would certainly make for a more enjoyable stay and allow for a more favorable review/ Lights that didn't work and others that couldn't be turned off. No directions for television and wifi that wouldn't connect. We learned a valuable lesson. If you want a camping experience this is the place for you. If you want a vacation experience, pay a bit more and find yourself happier in the end. We'll go down that path in 2022 in York Beach, Maine as we celebrate our 33rd summer the way life should be.

I am dismayed to read this review, as it is an obvious outlier to all of the other glowing reviews we have received about our beach house. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and transparent communication with all of our guests. Every complaint you raised was immediately addressed in a personal phone call from me the very first day of your stay. After which, you never contacted me again. The house is professionally and thoroughly cleaned between each guest visit, and is fully stocked with amenities to make for a special stay. Directions for the electronics and house policies are all written out, not only in the house description on this website but also posted in the house itself. In fact, I sent you an email with all the information as a follow-up to our conversation. Our beach house is most certainly better than a "camping experience" as our pictures, reviews, and returning guests can attest. I am sorry that you had a disappointing stay - I wish you the best in your future travels.
