Our group consisted of seven adults, one 2-year old child, and the family dog for a wedding and other family events in downtown Madison. Since this was the weekend before classes started at U of W, finding three hotel rooms (one needing to be pet-friendly) was next to impossible, and this property suited our needs very well.Downtown Madison was only about 20 minutes away since this property is near main commuting arteries. Having two bathrooms helped immensely with preparations. The half of the driveway for the duplex accommodates four vehicles for off the road parking. Kitchen adequately handled the needs of our large group. Regarding other comments about this property, realize that this is about a thirty-year-old duplex that was purchased about 18 months ago and is being renovated by the current owners. They also own and are renovating the duplex unit next to it, which accounts for the dumpster and work trucks next door. So, the important things are taken care of (including a 60 gallon water heater, which was great for our large group) and some cosmetic things are being worked on. Whenever we go with a VRBO property, we check Zillow or other real estate website to get sense of the property and its neighborhood. This property is in a very quiet, established, and safe community, being part of several duplexes in a predominantly single-family dwelling community. We walked our dog late at night on sidewalks and in the middle of the street without any concerns.Great!

Great space for out-of-towners. Appreciated that the kitchen had everything needed to prepare a simple meal and that hand and dish soap, toilet paper and paper towels were provided. There was a faint smoke odor in the main living space. The owner was very generous about adjusting our departure time.

Perfect place to stay to visit my daughter who lives in East Madison. Quiet neighborhood. Easy access to Madison and airport. House was equipped with what we needed--my daughter and me.
