➤ Modern Cape Escape is an idyllic Cape Cod cottage in Orleans, Massachusetts. This charming home provides you with everything you need to have a relaxing and memorable stay. As our guest, you are welcome to use all areas and amenities of the cottage to make your visit comfortable and cozy.

➤ Family Room and Dining Space:

The spacious family room and dining area are flooded with natural light. This warm and inviting space is open-concept and adjacent to the kitchen—allowing for plenty of cooking, conversation and dining.

The cozy seating area is the perfect spot to rest and recharge after a day at nearby Pilgrim Lake, Crystal Lake, the Orleans beaches, and the Cape Cod rail trail bike path. Stretch out on a comfortable sofa for your afternoon nap, or curl up with a good book on a stormy New England morning.

The family room’s large coffee table is ideal for game night or lazy days spent solving a puzzle together, while the wall-mounted TV is perfect for movie nights. A large closet in the formal living room is stocked with various board games, puzzles, coloring books, and other fun activities.

Decorated in classic coastal blues with touches of stainless steel and brass, you'll feel right at home in this modern Cape Cod cottage.

➤ Kitchen:

Prepare your catch of the day from one of Orleans' maritime grocers in the bright and airy chef’s kitchen. The range is ideally positioned for you to interact with friends and family while you cook, while the dishwasher and stainless steel farmhouse sink make for easy clean-up—not to mention beautiful garden views. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes and cutlery for indoor and outdoor dining and entertaining. Kitchen amenities also include pots and pans, blender, food processor, coffee maker, and KitchenAid stand mixer.

➤ Bathrooms:
There are two full bathrooms—one next to the kitchen on the main floor and a second between the upstairs bedrooms.

Relax your tired muscles and feel your stress melt away with a bath or shower in the first-floor bathroom. The second floor features a smaller 3-piece bathroom with a shower.

The soft natural lighting, elegant decor and plush towels give each bathroom a spa-like feel.

Sleep in late or enjoy lazy midday naps in one of three spacious bedrooms. With a master bedroom on the main floor and two bedrooms upstairs, this home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and is perfectly appointed for large families or groups of friends.

Wake up to soft coastal light and views of the front yard in the master bedroom. Large windows brighten the space during the day, and the cozy king-size bed is ideal for a comfortable night’s sleep.

The second bedroom upstairs features a king-size bed and double trundle bed—perfect for young families. The large windows look out onto the private yard, and the soft neutral colors are soothing to the eye.

The third bedroom upstairs is a favorite of families with small children. The two single beds and skylight provide a starry, moonlit backdrop for enchanting bedtime stories.

Enjoy the comfort and serenity of the formal living room, a separate room off the dining area. This versatile space has a pull-out sofa for extra sleeping space, while the TV, sofa and low coffee table make it an ideal place for children to relax and play.

Modern Cape Escape is also popular with guests working remotely because you can close the door from the main room and work with a desk, monitor, and keyboard, if required.

For kids of all ages, these table games are perfect for rainy days, Sundays, and every day in between. The basement is unfinished but clean and dry. It’s an ideal place to store suitcases and other items during your stay.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio and watch the menagerie of birds who frequent the private tree-lined acreage and gardens. From blue jays, orioles, cardinal, and hummingbirds to the occasional bald eagle, this property is a bird lover’s paradise.

The patio is very bright and sunny in the morning and into the late afternoon—it’s the perfect spot for outdoor cooking and gathering to enjoy a beer or glass of wine. Grill fresh seafood caught on your fishing trip or bought from the local market and share stories of exploring the seascapes and wetlands of Orleans, from nearby Arey's Pond to the coves of Little Pleasant Bay.
In the evenings, gather around a cozy fire in the large outdoor fire pit. Enjoy friendship, family and fun by roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Settle in with a cup of hot chocolate and great conversation under Cape Cod's starlit skies. Explore the coves and coastline of the eastern Cape or float up the Namequoit River to the calm waters of Little Pleasant Bay.

The property’s central location also makes it convenient to explore the quaint coastal community and shopping district of Orleans.
