The Space
Our cabin offers a spacious and modern retreat. The kitchen boasts slate floors, a wine refrigerator, and a full suite of appliances. The dining area features a table that can comfortably seat up to six guests.
The great room serves as a comfortable living space, complete with a propane fireplace, a smart TV so you can connect to your favorite apps, and plush leather furnishings including a couch and two reclining chairs.
The main bedroom is generously sized and provides private access to the second-story deck, offering a partial mountain view and an en-suite bathroom with double vanities and slate flooring. The second bedroom also has deck access. The third bedroom is also quite spacious. All beds are queen-sized and feature pillow-top mattresses, high thread count Pima cotton sheets, and cozy down comforters.
A large main floor bathroom includes slate flooring and a combination tub and shower.
Outdoor Amenities
The cabin features two decks. The main deck, accessible from the great room, is equipped with a BBQ grill and outdoor seating for dining, lounging, and enjoying the scenery. Stairs from this deck lead down to the fire pit area.(see below) The second deck, shared by the two upstairs bedrooms, offers comfortable chairs for relaxation amidst the surrounding trees.
Please note that Whatcom County regulations prohibit open fires within 25 feet of flammable materials, including trees. Guests wishing to enjoy the fire pit will need to bring a portable propane model. This regulation applies to most cabins in the Glacier area.
For relaxation and rejuvenation, guests can enjoy our six-person hot tub and a sauna that comfortably accommodates 3 to 4 people.
Community Features
Located within the gated community of Snowline, guests have access to a range of recreational facilities, including a baseball field, basketball court, pickleball court, a children's playground, and a small pond. The community is very safe, with an on-site manager providing security patrols. Hiking trails are conveniently located within a short walk from the cabin. The paved roads within Snowline are ideal for children's bike riding and scooters.
Location
We are conveniently situated only 15 miles from the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
Connectivity
We are committed to providing fast and reliable internet service, utilizing a mesh wifi system throughout the cabin. However, please be aware that occasional outages can occur due to our remote location. As an alternative, wifi is available from the parking lot of the Snowline Community Clubhouse and the Chair 9 restaurant, both less than a half mile from the cabin.
For Families
For guests traveling with young children, a Pack-and-Play and a high chair are available upon advance request.
Our Presence
Please be aware that we have a small, separate apartment attached to the side of the cabin, which my husband and I very infrequently use when we need to be in Snowline. This private space has its own driveway and entrance, separate from the guest areas and not visible from the front of the cabin. If we are present during your stay, we will inform you, but you will likely not notice our presence. Of course, we are happy to assist with anything you may need.

About the host
Hosted by Owner/manager

We are lifelong Snohomish County, Washington residents where we raised our son and daughter. We have always spent our time outside, either skiing, hiking, boating, or cycling. We love Washington and all the outdoor activities.
We have traveled all over the world staying in VRBO properties where we have met and spent time with interesting hosts and travelers. We always say the fun people travel this way, and it is true with the guests that have stayed in our cabin.
We have traveled all over the world staying in VRBO properties where we have met and spent time with interesting hosts and travelers. We always say the fun people travel this way, and it is true with the guests that have stayed in our cabin.
Why they chose this property
We skiied at Mt. Baker for years before we purchased our cabin. So we knew how incredible the skiing is, and how short the lift lines are. We thought we were purchasing a ski/snowboard cabin, but we enjoy the hiking and biking and the beautiful spring, summer and fall mountains just as much. And now our kids and grandkids love coming to the Big Buck Lodge.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is special because it is big enough for family and friends all at one time. Kids and grand kids love our hot tub, the outdoor pool, the playground equipment, playing ball in the huge grassy field, playing air hockey and ping pong in the clubhouse, shooting hoops, playing tennis and pickleball, riding bikes through the community, the fire pit, and the short hike to the river. The outside deck is a favorite for families and BBQ's in the spring, summer and fall. Because of recent strict restrictions imposed by Whatcom County on outdoor fires, our fire pit can only be used if you bring your own portable gas fire pit bowl to sit in our existing fire pit. Kind of a hassle, but everyone loves a campfire. Relaxing in the sauna or hot tub after all the outdoor activities Mt. Baker has to offer is a great way to end the day.
