Enjoy the fire pit, river views and bird-watching in the back yard, outdoor games, all secluded in the middle of the woods but just a short drive to the beach and town. Deer, turkeys and other wildlife roam the property. A short drive from the property are multiple winery tasting rooms, a golf course, a beachfront Lake Michigan park, and a pumpkin patch with hay rides for autumn guests. Also close by is South Haven, with its charming downtown, farmers market, public beaches and lively riverfront. Other nearby attractions include Saugatuck/Douglas, Fennville, wineries with tasting rooms, breweries, numerous golf courses, antique markets, you-pick orchards, lakes with boat and kayak rentals, hike and bike trails, and many great restaurants.

The nearby Kal-Haven trail is great for cross country skiing. A short drive away are the Bittersweet and Timber Ridge ski areas, where guests can downhill ski and snowboard; lessons, rentals and daily lift tickets available. Downtown South Haven has an open-air ice skating rink, open daily - skate rentals available, as well as coffee and hot chocolate next door at Julia's!
Guests have access to the entire house and garage. We are close by and available by email, text or phone, but will otherwise stay out of your way! We have had multi family gatherings for over 10 years now, this house had one of the best kitchens we have experienced. Double oven, double dishwasher and large surface range made meal prep and clean up a snap! Beautiful setting on the Black River and property with space made our stay great. Our host communicated very well, we we never left guessing, they have also put a very nice local information book that was very useful for planing outings. Great views of the river from any spot in the house.
The manager/owner was so nice and the property was incredible! Short drive to civilization but the property felt like we were the only people for miles. Best of both worlds!
This was a great break for our family. Very private and relaxing property with lots of room inside, nice kitchen, great views and lots of fun roaming property and playing in river.
Immaculate house with updated features. Loved that it was well stocked with kitchen supplies even seasonings which I forgot. My only suggestion is to repair the tennis court which had so many large cracks it was difficult to play
Our family spent a long Thanksgiving in the home. Plenty of space and the kitchen worked wonderfully. The games downs stairs were a great hit and the location between twins was extremely convenient.
The house was fantastic! There was eight adults and one child and we had more than enough space and the communication with the owner was seamless. We'd definitely go back.
This property was fabulous!
The indoor and outdoor spaces at this property are perfect for a group to just relax and enjoy.
Plenty of room for the 9 of us golfers and within 20 minutes of several top notch golf courses.
Great place for a family reunion. Lots of space inside and out and plenty of games provided. Don't miss the Elegant Farmer pies available at the Dutch Farm Market.
This property worked perfectly for our many day trips or a day at "home". We had more than enough room and enjoyed the many activity options available. My family is already asking when we can return.
This was the pefect home to host a weekend trip with 3 families. The house and property were beautiful and serene. Game room was great for the little ones. We made a few big meals and the kitchen had everything we could've wanted. Hope to come again next year.
Beautiful house, beautiful setting. Weekend getaway with my family, played ALOT of ping pong, cards, & watched football! Weather was nice enough for us to also use the tennis courts & basketball hoop!! Kitchen is fully stocked, used grill for a nice steak dinner!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for some fun family time!!
Extended family group in the area for a wedding. Hosts were very communicative, house is as advertised. Basement game room was a hit. A bit far from stores, restaurants so plan accordingly.
From the moment we entered the property we knew we had picked the perfect spot! We easily transitioned from hectic daily life to a peaceful, restful, and fun family vacation. There is a lot to do on the property and if you crave more energy and shopping there are so many local small towns in the area to venture out to. We loved our stay but 1 week was WAY to short!!
