Settle in for a long-term stay of 6 or more months in Durham at this charming house.
This is a 55+ community so the primary renter must be at least 55 years old. The house has three queen bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen and pantry and a baby grand piano. The second floor is perfect for a second couple or for company and has a study area, bedroom, bathroom and TV viewing area. The screened-in porch provides relaxed viewing of flowers and birds most months of the year and the patio with Weber grill is great for company. You will be 10 minutes or less from grocery stores, malls and the airport all variety of doctors, dentists and a fully staffed emergency room. Easy access to Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill. This Del Webb community has a remarkable clubhouse with indoor and outdoor pools, a dance studio, billiard and pickleball. Children may not reside here but may visit.

Your host
We are retired, having lived in many locations around the United States. David was a professor and Polly was an HR specialist. We want to have the freedom to stay for an extended time in other countries and our HOA that we rent our house out for at least a 6 months.
Why they chose this property
We are in an area with four major universities, we are a 10 minute drive from an excellent airport and the area is rich in cultural and dining opportunities. The ocean is less than 3 hours away and the mountains are about the same distance. We long and very mild springs and falls. The community is quiet, well cared for and very friendly..
What makes this property unique
We love our large kitchen and open-space plan. Our lanai offers us a delightful sitting area the overlooks a bird bath and bird feeder. The overhead fan allows us to sit outside through the summer. The upstairs provides a separate suite complete with an office and bathroom. Our baby grand piano has its own attractive room. Original art enlivens our house.
