Ghetto, tv, no plug in, needed to bring extension cord, no light working in kitchen, had to put coffee maker on top of refrigerator because no outlets in kitchen, bathroom faucet no attracted to sink, no outlet my bed to plug in phone,! Over all a dump,!but close to many attractions , photos are not representative of property

The listing was ENTIRELY inaccurate. It states 2 queen beds and a sofa. There is only 1 queen bed and NO sofa. One of our party had to sleep on the floor the first night. We had to find new accommodations for the remainder of our trip which is not a cheap or easy task short notice in Manhattan. Mistakes happen. We are pretty adaptable and reasonable people. We simply and politely asked for a refund since it was not what we paid for. All requests were completely ignored by the host. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE.

Had a great time thanks for the hospitality and the great atmosphere I’m a NYC native but it was great letting the family stay there for the weekend.

Everything, starting from the begining, the apartment is on a walk up building, which doesn't say on the listing and should, I went with my 76 years old mom and we had to carry everything up on. very norrow, dirty and stip stairs, when we got to the apartment only had 1 full bed, no table or chairs, the loft had no sofa or TV, when I wrote to the host, the answer was they had an inconvenience and had to remove some furniture, but we could still fit there (we were 3 people), yes if we liked sleeping on a kitchen counter or in the tub. Also there were two huge cockroaches.The lady called me to see if I left the apartment neat if I undid the bed, I told her we sat on the bed to book a hotel and talk to VRBO to get a refund because there was nowhere else to sit, she got super upset that I didn't stretch the cover, I calmly responded, sorry everything on the apartment was missing, so I had to sit in the bed, and sorry too that I did not remove the two rouches that were there too, her answer "you drama bi..ch" I honestly think her plan was to rent it again without coming to check it out. Thanks god VRBO returned our money and we moved to a hotel

Great location

The location is great, close to the subway and lots of places to eat. The apartment was clean however I feel the pictures and information was misleading. The apartment is on the second floor and you have to climb a very narrow staircase, no elevator and having a bad hip had I known probably would have chosen a different place. The television was not set up and was up in the loft along with the couch so you had to climb a small metal ladder that neither of us felt comfortable trying. The space is big enough to arrange the beds and make a sitting area which would have changed the experience. There were no garbage cans anywhere, no paper towels in the kitchen, nothing basic to cook with oil, salt and pepper if we had wanted to cook we would have had to buy even the basics. The towels were damp when we used them and rough so if you want soft towels bring your own. We were out most of the time but I don't believe we would stay here again. had to purchase even the basics. Thpown.n

Great location, comfy beds, minimalist otherwise

The apartment's location was fantastic -- close to Central Park, easy subway and bus connections, lots of good restaurants around. Also, the apartment was quiet, even with the windows open. Overall, it was a decent stay, but check-in was a little off with the lockbox across the street and the other hiccups below.The beds were new and firm, but comfy and pillows were comfy too. The table was minimalist, but worked and there were plates and utensils and pans (no pots), as well as minimal kitchenware (toaster, french press, water boiler). No microwave. One awkward thing -- the only outlet in the kitchen was on the wall opposite the countertops. We boiled water on the bathroom sink b/c of the lack of outlet. Other negatives -- no air conditioning (despite the listing saying it was there), the coin laundry advertised is across the street, there are several sets of stairs that make managing a stroller difficult. The biggest oddity -- lack of other seating. The loft is useless -- there's a couch up there, but the height is too short for sitting and the ladder up did not feel safe. We didn't attempt it. That space is really not functional. Also, it was lacking other creature comforts such as an extra blanket, washcloths, a shower curtain liner, and there was no trash can (I think this is being addressed). Also, it was mostly clean but the tub had some hair in it when we arrived and my son found a random piece of candy under a bed that wasn't from us.
