About this property

Wai-Mana: Liminal Space for the Whimsical Wanderer

Leave the hassles of the city behind, drive through sugarcane fields, breath the sweetness of freedom, and experience a taste of the Pacific.
The room has a double bed (queen size) and a single bed, stand up electric fan (sorry, no airconditioning, still working on it..) a mini cooler, dresser, table & chairs, electric kettle & toaster.
It is a family holiday home not a lodge, so expect a lot of interaction with family members at times, particularly during the school holidays. Meals are taken with the family, breakfast, lunch and dinner which are included in the fees. Laundry is included as well, so you're most welcome to use the washing machine. Toilet and bathroom is shared with all occupants, nothing fancy, but it is clean and tidy. We have a large deck built around a tamarind tree with some deck chairs and a hammock for cooling off, on hot days. We are not strict with our meal arrangements, so if you're not an early riser, then you can have a late breakfast or if you're not around during meal times, then we'll keep yours. Usually we have our meals outdoor on the deck, not strict on this as well, if you prefer you can have yours in the dinning room or in the common room while watching TV ( after-all, you're on holiday, relax!). Oh! We have a lot of animals, dogs, cats, chickens, and goats which are quite disturbing at times but if you understand country farm areas, this is usually part of the package.

I love life and everything that it has to offer. The choice is within ourselves to make it beautiful. What better way to do this, then to bring the global community to your door step by opening and sharing your home with people, whom, fate had decided for you to meet and to be part of your life's story.
I have some knowledge of the law to get me out of trouble and also to help my fellow human folks, who needs to be heard. I have yet to complete my Bar Exams next year to fully comprehend my task in life.

Why they chose this property

Back then it was only sugar cane fields, dry land, with little access to power and the closes thing to infrastructure; in channelling water to our humble foundation was our hands and legs and a few dozen buckets. But life was sweet, as we have the Nadi River, cutting across our land; supplying us with fresh water (wai) the very source of Mana in our community. Hence, the name WAI-MANA.

What makes this property unique

Waimana is situated at the outskirts of Nadi between the airport and Nadi town which is 20 minutes drive either way. It is among sugarcane fields, along the upper Nadi river and is two blocks away from the infamous South Sea Orchid Farm and a Mineral water factory, and 10 minutes walk to the only Chinese Five Star hotel overlooking the Nadi River. The area is quite scenic with abundance of vegetation, rolling hills, pockets of small sugarcane farms and family plantations which we mainly acquire most of our vegetable, fruits and root crops. The roads are partially tar sealed and dirt tracks, suitable for cross-country running or walking, if you're up to it.
