Well maintained home with lots of amenities that’s an easy walk to the McMinnville main shopping/dining/wine tasting area. Realtor/host was friendly and helpful. Slight exaggeration to call it a farmhouse, but it is a very comfortable, pleasant place to stay.

The house is very old and had a musty odor. All windows have air conditioners in windows. On a Main Street with some noise. Close to town with restaurants.
The Farmhouse was beautiful! So comfortable and conveniently located in downtown McMinnville. We were there during a heatwave— but would have loved to spend more time in the charming backyard. The house was kept cool by the portable air conditioners located throughout the house. Such a lovely visit.
The house was very clean and cute. It was an easy walk to restaurants and shopping.

Thank you, Sonja. We have been hosting for over 12 years, and over that time, we have developed a well-oiled system for providing guests with a seamless, memorable stay, with the convenience of a great walkable location to all the chef-driven restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and boutique shopping. We hope to host you again. Cheers!
We had a fantastic weekend in the Willamette Valley. This place was fabulous… centrally located and plenty of restaurants to walk to in McMinnville. Breakfast & coffee within blocks as well as dinner spots after a full day of wine tasting.Love the extra towels and we especially appreciated having the coffee beans and Cramer there in the fridge… saved us a trip to a grocery store. We also enjoyed having the outdoor heater and the grill with extra gas tanks. We didn’t use them but acknowledge the gesture. Definitely would recommend for anyone planning a trip to wine country in the Willamette Valley.
The house was perfect for our quick trip to the area but I would definitely stay here again and it would have everything I needed for a longer trip. I was able to walk everywhere to get to restaurants, tasting rooms, and even a convenience store. I received great information from the host as well.
Lovely historic farm house! Great location in downtown, walkable to town center. Little noisy, but host provided earplugs and A/C in all rooms. Great wine country escape!
We enjoyed our stay! The home was clean and as described. The location is great and a 5 min walk to all the food and restaurants 3rd street has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!!
Great house, great host, the house is in a great location, very walkable.

About the host
Hosted by Anita Borgaes
She had the Wine Country Farmhouse…he had the Walter Link House, which is how Anita and Larry met. Well... it was at the UFO Festival, but that’s another story. The result was another Vacation Rental, and now another one along the way. Both are natives who grew up in the wine industry; as kids, Anita picked grapes during harvest on one of the first vineyards in Dundee, and Larry was raised on a farm in what is now the McMinnville AVA. Like Salmon, they returned after exploring the world to pursue their passion in their hometown: preserving historic properties and sharing Oregon Wine Country with the world. By joining forces—with Anita’s background in real estate and Larry’s background in construction—they have created a solid team in the growing family of Wine Country Properties.
Why they chose this property
Wine Country Farmhouse located at 930 NE 2nd St. is Anita’s first VRBO. It was chosen for its excellent location (one block off 3rd St.) and turn of the century charm. We believe that if you are going to wine, dine and enjoy the downtown festivals, you should never have to drive. Those are the two things all of our locations have in common, character and walkability. We know you will love this house as much as we do.
