The cabin was supplied well with everything you would need. There are a couple of things we did not like.....Bird droppings all over the porch, mice in the kitchen, and it would be great if there were TV's in all the bedrooms.
deck and hot tub were very dirty. There was mice feces in a few of the drawers. Toilets were dirty and linens didn't look like they had been washed, just the beds remade.

Thanks for submitting this review. though
it would have been more helpful if someone would have contacted us and mentioned any of these things, during the stay.
Waiting until afterward and leaving a negative review makes it impossible to verify or check it out.
We normally get great reviews there, but if someone notices something and doesn't tell us, but, for all we know, enjoys their stay, then runs the cabin down afterward, that makes us question what is really going on.

Disappointed
The cabin is beautiful but infested with mice. It was my 30th birthday that ended with leaving in the middle of the night because I could not sleep in a place that had mice all over the kitchen, running around on the counters. Also no decency to hose off the porch, it was full of bird poop. Over all disgusted and disappointed. Don’t recommend staying here, not worth it. Cherry on top was the envelope stating “tips are appreciated”, I could never be so bold.
Ended vacation early. Tried to reach out to owner but no response. Steer clear!
I am the father of the family that rented from you June 16-21. I just got out of the hospital yesterday. After two Urgent Cares and three Emergency rooms including an forced ambulance trip from one hospital to another, I am hopefully over the worst infection I’ve ever had in my life. The source is most likely the hot tub since my daughter also had to go to Urgent Care after using it the same week. You cannot rely on self-sanitizing of hot tubs. Who knows what is growing in that thing. I would tell you but the ER at Logan didn’t grow a culture before they started my five days of intravenous antibiotics trying to slow down the streaking up my right arm.I have the sense you haven’t been on your property in a while; I strongly advise you to visit before someone is serious / fatally injured. We have stayed in many cabins, and I know mice can get in, but you have active nests with poop in silver ware drawer and nightstands. Food was even devoured on top of the fridge. While that could’ve happened recently, there is old mouse feces all along the picture windows inside that looks to have been there for a long time. At the very least, you need to evaluate your cleaning staff, but I strongly urge you to visit yourself. You have a very nice cabin, but it is showing signs of neglect. Many things are broken. For example, the couch downstairs, the dishwasher lock mechanism, and some sketchy black substance in the upstairs bathroom. While the AC works very well (or as well

We didn't hear anything, at all, out of the guests, while they were there, or afterward, until this review came out.
You would think that they would have alerted us right away, if something seemed to be a problem.
We are sorry to hear of their sickness, but, to our knowledge, we have never had anyone complain, at all, about infections from a hot tub at Timberwolf Retreat, either before, or after their stay.
Our cleaners service the hot tubs between stays and we have containers of sanitizer, right near the Hot Tub, with a note to add it each night before going to bed.
If they used the Hot Tub the entire 5 nights, but didn't add sanitizer, as instructed at the sanitizer box, they may have gotten a build-up of something, but that would be because they didn't sanitize, not because of us.
There is no proof, whatsoever, that their infections were caused by anything in or around our cabins. They were on vacation, and likely were in different environments throughout their time in the area.
